Series 1 Land Rover - 1952

Sellers Comments -
Series 1 Land Rover 80" imported from Australia and registered in the UK in 2017.
Completely rebuilt engine, re-conditioned (probably original)gearbox, both age-related. Noisy in 1st gear though (I just don't use it)
New clutch.
Chassis excellent, bulkhead excellent, body panels pretty good.
Brakes very poor but will stop eventually.
Steering works okay but could do with improving.
Mostly new wiring loom, nearly everything works (broken fuel gauge)
Ignition replaced with a switch because the replacement I bought never worked.
Indicators fitted.
No hood, no door tops.
Sign written and repainted, but the repainting isn't professional, the sign writing would rub off without too much effort.
This is a vehicle I restored to a level I could use it, not professionally, not properly, but the engine repair was done professionally and the gearbox.
All the rest is perfectly usable, it needs seats.
The vehicle has the correct carb, air filter, fuel filter etc.
This is a very nice Land Rover that would be almost usable as it is, but would make a very nice truck if completely finished.
It should be collected on a trailer as the brakes are awful.

Land Rover Series 1 80inch. - ETK 426 Rover P6 3.5litre V8

Sellers Comments - For sale is my 1952 registered Land Rover Series 1 80inch. She's not been lovingly restored, but she has been fairly well looked after. I bought her on a whim some years ago, spent some money on her to keep her roadworthy and have used her locally, on occasion pulling the narrow track Sankey Trailer.

1952 Gendarmerie Police Series One 80 Classic Land Rover Barn Find Restoration Ex-Belgium Police Land Rover -Collectors Item Rare Find

Sellers Comments - For sale: land rover series 1 80 inch LHD One of the batch 2663-vehicles that was sent to belgium as CKD-vehicles. Used by the belgian police/gendarmerie. This would make a great restoration project. A very Rare find and one for the true collector Details : 5 wheels dated '51, so an early 1952 model. Every bodypanel has traces of the original dark blue paint, although it got painted over with some kind of green paint, would be possible to remove the green paint and keep the patinated blue layer. The condition of the panels is reasonable, although the left front wing has got a dent that was masked a bit with bodyfiller. Some details as u can see in the pictures are typical for the gendarmerie vehicles, so is the heavy duty canvas frame with four brackets so the policemen in the back had something to hold on. A first aid kit and holder, a search light hole underneath front windscreen, some remainings of drop down number plate bracket, two little flag brackets at windscreen hinges, and so on. The bulkhead isnt in the best shape, some optional non original holes where cut through for extra gauges, buttons and big hole for an old aftermarket heater that i removed. A very skilled welder could maybe get it refurbished. The rear crossmember is a non original one (could be replaced with a Radfords rear crossmember), and the front bumper is welded onto the chassis, so this would need a minor repair. As u can see the steering wheel isnt original, but an original one is supplied with the vehicle. It has correct paperwork for a 6/7 seater, so the rear seats can be used, it is not a commercial two seater. Under the bonnet it has a Peugeot Indenor diesel, connected to the original series 1 gearbox. The engine is loose, u can turn it over by hand, although condition is unknown and not working atm as the electrics need many work to be done. Vehicle is located near ypres in Belgium, which is about 1h15 from calais. Payment cash on collection

1952 Land Rover Series 1 80"

Sellers Comments - Into - Advertising on behalf of a very good friend: Here is our much-loved Series 1 80 inch. It is a late 80 with the 2 litre engine, external door handles and T-shaped grill. As you can see it has a lovely patina and is full of character having never been restored or drastically modified.
It is up and running, being largely original and over 60 years old it has a few jobs which would improve it but I have been using it daily with no problems. Chief problem is a new one - the radiator has sprung a leak - it is the original and would be good to be recored.
Built in July 1952 it has had just three owners from new. Supplied through Windmill & Lewis of Bristol, the first owner was a Desmond Hawkins who worked for the BBC and was one of the founders of the Natural History Unit. In 1957 she passed to a Mr Unwin who ran a couple of caravan parks in the Kewstoke area. Here the Land Rover worked as a site vehicle until the mid 1970s when it was parked up.

Land Rover Series 1 80" Minerva 1952 2.0 Petrol Genuine Land Rover 80" Bulkhead

Sellers Comments -
This early Land Rover Minerva 80" would make a nice winter restoration/
recommissioning project.
1st registered on 15th July 1952 chassis number 3663 0074.
UK registered as XBV 211.
V5 registration document present and in my name.
Only the early Minervas had a Genuine Land Rover Bulkhead.
The engine no 26133143 starts up and runs and all gears engage as they should.
All instruments correct and has original horn/dipper.
No brakes at the moment so will need rebuilding.
Chassis generally good, has had welding to an outrigger and needs some on
the rear cross member but not much.
Genuine Land Rover 80"Bulkhead generally sound, will need some repairs
but not too bad as photos show.
All in all a great piece of history for a fraction of the price of a UK Series 1 80" !!

1952 Land Rover Series 1 80" Tax & MOT Exempt

.You are looking at a 1952 Land Rover Series 1 80", first registered on 03/01/1952.

Sellers Comments
This really is an amazing little Landy, read on! This 63 year old has a recently fitted 200tdi engine and reconditioned gearbox fitted. She also benefits from a Fairey Overdrive unit that brings the revs down on longer journeys and helps return that 30mpg! I really like this old girl, its a bit special.
Also fitted is RRC differentials which give it the road speed and drivability of a Defender so it's very usable. It is in fact my daily driver car. It's ready to drive away, it's tax and MOT exempt due to it's historic status but I also have a valid MOT for her and piece of mind.
The chassis is in great condition, very solid indeed. Rare aluminium bulkhead which is perfect. The photos speak a thousand words.
If you are looking for an'original' vehicle then this is not for you but if you like fun, drivability, head turning journeys then you'll totally love this old girl. Guaranteed to make you smile.
The Capstan winch is not connected, ammo box and ropes are not included, private reg may be included dependent on sale price. Currently running rear wheel drive only as the front diff needs the correct unit fitting which is included. I never use for off roading so never changed it when the rear was fitted.

If you have any questions whatsoever, please feel free to phone me on 07875556687 any time up until around 9.00pm. The Land Rover is situated near Manchester Airport and any inspection is invited. Delivery can also be arranged if required.

Land Rover Series 1 80" Great Condition 1952 Model Year NO RESERVE! We can deliver nationwide

Sellers Comments
Land Rover Series 1 80" a nice honest example that requires light recommissioning.
To be sold with NO RESERVE!!!
It could be an ideal restoration project as the chassis and bulkhead are very solid, bodywork is straight as well you would be saving thousands on these items. On the other side though it is far from needing restoration and only requires the brakes looking at as one or two wheels are binding this is probably due to the wheel cylinders seizing. It is a very usable vehicle.
9 previous owners the last has owned it for 18 years and prior to that it has remained in Herefordshire and so it has been in long term ownership for most of it's life hence it's unmolested condition. It was first registered on the 1st November 1951 however it is a 261 chassis number and so is a 1952 model year and so has the later upgrades.
Finished in Bronze Green with matching wheels it looks how all Land Rovers should.
An Mot dating back to 2007 shows that the vehicle has only covered very few miles since.
Over the years this Land Rover has always been well looked after and it's great to see a Land Rover in such nice condition.
It still has a 2 litre petrol engine although not the original it is out of a later series 1 but it fits all the same and no modification have been made to the chassis to fit it. It is a good runner and starts on the button. It has plenty of power and the Land Rover should drive well once the brakes are dealt with.  The Land Rover has a very good chassis which still retains a lot of it's original paint there is surprisingly hardly any corrosion on the chassis other than surface rust in areas which has been treated and so it requires no attention. It has had two dumb irons on the front at some stage but they have been done properly.
Considering it's age inside the cabin on the Land Rover is very good, with a new set of seats and a few odd jobs this Land Rover would really tidy up nicely and it's far from being worth £15,000, we simply don't have the time to finish this one and have too many other projects on the go and so we would rather move it on to somebody who can but some time into bringing it back up to standard.  Also the rear tub inside has hardly any dents in it which is quite unusual for a Land Rover this shows that the use it has had over the years has only been light. The engine bay is very original and standard and has come up very well.
Any inspections or questions are welcome, please remember that the vehicle is 64 years old and so isn't has it left the showroom.

Sellers Notes:

This is a 1952 ex military Land Rover released from service in 1963 and has its original registration number.

It has a 200 TDI engine fitted which makes it very economical to drive around 40 MPG.

The rear axle has been converted to take the later fully floating half shafts which are much easier to replace.

Bulkhead and chassis have been repaired but if i was going to keep her i would replace them both
but there are a few years left in them yet.

The price i am asking is very little more than some projects have sold for recently
and this is a good opportunity to buy a vehicle at a reasonable price.

I have a 2litre spreadbore engine available by seperate negotiation to the winning bidder.

A £100 non returnable deposit must be paid within 24 hours.

Bank transfer or cash to be paid and collection within 7 days.
