For sale is my 1980 Ex MOD Land Rover Series 3
It is equipped with it's original 2.25l petrol engine
it has had a truck cab fitted and has been repainted green by a previous owner but is in original condition.
It was built in 1980 and was a FFR (Fitted For Radio) and then a Base vehicle we think. So it hasn't been thrashed around like a lot of other ex army Land Rovers. it was released in 2001.
MOT until June
Sound engine
Good running gear
Good tires
New exhaust
New oil and filter
New Clutch plate
New electrics
Bits of the original kit still in the vehicle (generator, hand throttle, Control box)
Tow bar and socket is fitted but never used.
Also included are the Original military hand book and a reprinted owners manual. and the starter handle.
The bad bits are:
Problem in the charging circuit
Small Tear in drivers seat cushion
Bit tatty but is in running and driving condition. all the important bits work when they should. Beware this vehicle is a 24V so don't try to jump anything with it as you will fry their electrics!
Ok it is in Eastnor Green with RAF coloured roof and was a shoot vehicle before I bought it. It is time for its MOT and the gearbox has developed a bad rattling noise (lay shaft?) and being honest I need to sell as not getting used - only 50 miles in last 12 months. Had new footwells, bulk head good apparently, welding done on doors. New radiator 12 months ago. New brake servo, etc..
