- Completely Rebuilt using brand new Genuine Land Rover Chassis
- This was going to be our overlander
- It has been the subject of a complete rebuild everything that needed doing has been done regardless of cost. we now have 2 small children and keeping it as a weekend van is no longer realistic. I have so many projects, classic cars, Land Rovers, tractors, diggers and loads more
- I have done about 300 miles since the last mot, which says it all
- It needs finishing, the hard work is done the back has had the stretchers and frames removed as I have basically been using it as a van (its a huge really useful space I think the box is about 9ft long)
- I have all bits that I removed from the back if they are required
- The speedo reads less than 40k the 5 gears are really smooth and there no whines or clonks from the transmission I would say it was genuine
- The rebuild mainly for peace of mind included, New Clutch, Headgaskit, Cambelt set, Starter, Rear Heavy duty coil over springs (transforming the handling), exhaust, Breaks, 2 x New Goodyear G90 Tyres and late seatbase
- I had the Military 2 piece doors replaced with Single piece civilian Front doors, the frames are pretty good but could do with the runners replacing and a door card is a bit split
- Front seats although good I was planning on fitting some new high back ones from the later tdci
- Lance as he is affectionally known was a very late 300TDI special order truck leaving the factory in November 1999 , there was a Special Vehicles plate on the seat base that was lost during the rebuild
- It is meant to have served in the Falklands which would explain the low miles.
- The chassis and seat base suffered from exposure to the elements which was the reason for the rebuild. Although not terminal I just wanted it to be right and rot free as it was to be a keeper
- I have spent a fortune on this truck
- The back needs fitting out or not
- Front heater controls need fitting
- Rear Heater also needs connecting correctly
- interior lights need sorting
- Detailing required, only minor jobs. I have absolutely no time as ever to finish
- The hard work is done it just needs to be enjoyed
The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.

Land Rover Defender 90 2.5 n/a Diesel, Ex-Military (Soft Top), 75k miles 1993 - Bury St Edmunds - Click For Further Details and Price
Sellers Comments -
Has had new denim twill seats fitted to front three seats in 2016, with x3 great condition seats with a rear mounted 3-point harness for the centre seat (only really suitable for children though) Benches are fitted to rear, with x4 anchored lap belts, so seats 7 people in all. Original MOD seats come with it, plus a bikini top. Sitting on genuine Wolf rims on G90 tyres with bonnet mounted spare and brand new G90. There's also another x5 military tyres, with two more unused G90's, see separate listing.
Good honest Defender and will be sorely missed, but I can't really justify keeping it as does no miles. Genuine 75k miles, left Army service on 51,932 miles. Always looked after, routinely changed oils, running bulletproof n/a diesel 2.5 (19J) engine. Disc brakes, so stops well & unusually has power steering, which is a real bonus, in fact couldn't live without it.
The vehicle had the rear cross member professionally replaced in 2014, along with a new gearbox LT77 transmission (from Ashcroft Transmissions) along with a tdi 3-piece Borg & Beck clutch fitted and uprated gearing, so it gets along, for one of these. All receipts to prove work and extensive service history.
It's also had a new front diff fitted in 2015, cold air ducting kit and raised TD5 air intake, plus really useful standard 12v towbar & electrics kit. Halogen light kit & new Exmoor trim hood 2014, doesn't leak! Bulkhead is sound, outriggers all good. New panhard rod bushes fitted, and brake pads in 2018.
MOT'd with 2 sets of keys, all locks work and comes with original forces operating manual and disposal papers from Withams. Have spent over £5k on these upgrades and essential tweaks. MOD toolbox fitted in the rear. NATO Rollbar. Hoops and sticks al in good order. Vehicle came from Warminster Support Unit and was used around the base, so has seen no active service. It could do with a paint, really only ever had one layer of paint from MOD, thankfully not layers of hand-brushed squaddie green!

Defender 90 ex and Sankey Trailer - Ex Military
Sellers Comments - MOT until Oct 2018 - I have had this vehicle now for about 10 years and the only time it let me down was a flat battery. She is as you would expect rough and ready. No bells and whistles just an honest basic landrover. I have used her primarily for shooting and it will go absolutely anywhere. Only selling due to my ex wife's insistence as part of the split. It does need a plate welding in the passenger footwell but this does not affect the MOT or chassis.

EX-Army Land Rover
Sellers Comments - Here is my Fitted for Radio 110. I don`t want to sell it but the boss indoors has told me that something has to go. The Land Rover has never let me down and has started first time every time, it has stood for a while now so will need a little bit of TLC. There is some rust on the bulkhead on the passenger side and can be seen in the pictures. The exhaust is blowing, its the front pipe and wont cost much to fix, I just don`t have the time to do it (I have been told I have to paint the house). It comes with the 24 volt alternator which I removed as it weighs a ton and I didn't need it to work. I also have a full tin of green paint which you can have as well. Due to no MOT it will need to be towed away. The waffle boards in the photos don`t come with the Land Rover.

Series 2A Lightweight (Half Ton 88”) Land Rover with 200tdi engine, Tax exempt.
Sellers Comments -
Original military reg. number 26 RN 89 (think that makes it Royal Navy?)
This is RHD No 1321, I understand only 1893 RHD and 1096 LHD of these Land Rovers were built so it is a very rare vehicle especially in this condition.
Very good chassis
Very good bulkhead
Very straight bodywork
Hardly any rust
Metallic brown paintwork - looks very good.
Usual military lightweight spec, e.g. strengthened front and rear axles, front and rear military bumpers, twin fuel tanks (but only one currently piped in), 2 piece tailgate etc....
Tax exempt
Just passed an MOT 31st July 2017
Cheap to insure only costing me £70 a year fully comp for 3,000 miles.
5 almost new 7.50 Goodyear G90 Tyres on military split rims.
Good Exmoor hood with roll up sides.
It has the following upgrades
Discovery 200tdi engine that runs very well still with turbo and intercooler fitted. Looks like a nice conversion. It is more powerful and more economical than the standard engine.
Originally it had 2 1/4 (2286cc 4 cylinder) Petrol engine. I have a complete spare 2286cc petrol engine that is available to the winning bidder for an additional £200 if you would like to make it more original.
High ratio Range Rover type (3.5) diffs – these enable it to cruse at 70mph
Body mounted role bar
Rocky mountain parabolic springs
Pro Comp Shock absorbers
LWB Brakes with servo
Kenlow fan
Fairy Free Wheel Hubs
Front seat belts
Defender door mirrors
High back seats etc…
These mods make it more usable especially if you are thinking of it as a daily drive without losing any of its unique nature.
Remember it is 45 years and I am selling it as seen without any guarantee.
Viewing and any inspection welcome and encouraged.
The V5 is in my name.

1982 LAND ROVER SERIES 3 109 Ex-military
Sellers Comments - Purchased from John Brown Landrovers about 5 years ago and used every year for about 200/300 miles with the kids and bikes and dog walks etc. Ran out of MOT last year and failed only on Brakes. Selling as an easy project as I do not have the time to devote to the old girl. Chassis and Bulkhead sound although underneath could do with a clean and re-waxoil. Needs new door tops ideally and a new battery and the brakes sorting and a general tidy up as she has stood for 6 months under the trees. Other than that she starts and drives well. Never let me down when we were using her. Will need trailering away. Cash on Collection from Cornwall Please.

Ex Military Army Land Rover Defender 110 NATO
Sellers Comments - With a heavy heart i am selling my ex NATO Defender 110. Now i don't know alot about these as this was my first one and i intended to keep her but circumstances have changed.
She started life as a field ambulance before travelling to Bosnia to serve in Op Resolute. She has also been with the Signals and Royal Artillery. She was decommissioned in 2012 where she started her civilian life.
The paint work is not the best ever (bear in mind it is ex-army) and as you can see from the pics they have had a good time with the fuse box. When driving the fuses sometimes touch causing the headlights to not work and this is how they are currently. Other than that she is roadworthy and goes really well, slow but well. It is the 2.5 N/A engine. I have recently put a new rear door on her and a new window seal. I have some other parts such as a new rear exhaust, another wing box, fuse box (just never got round to getting it fitted) and as you can see i have also got a set of Military Police signs and blue emergency lights (never fitted so can't say they will work but look new). I also have a couple of antennas for the boxes and the blue engine paint which again i never got around to doing.
The mileage is recorded in kilometers and not miles so the reading is 186084 (115627 miles). It was MOT's on 186042 so has travelled very little and been sat in the garage. There is a Merlin report which i will email to the new owner and some paperwork. I have a receipt for work carried out in January 2016 which is for o/s/f wheel bearing, rear wheel cylinders. In December 2015 she also had the head gasket done, cambelt, cambelt tensioner, glow plugs, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, washer pump, new radiator and all lubricants refreshed.
I currently pay £90 a year insurance through Cherished Vehicle Insurance and am a member of the Military Vehicle Trust.
The seats have been replaced recently (passenger has a little tear in it but nothing major) and i also bought two very near to new rear benches with seat belts that the new owner will have to fit. I'm sure there are some other window seals knocking around so i will find them and throw them in with the sale.
The tyres are all good and are the G90's. She originally was a soft top and later had the hard top added. Therefore you can take the window tops off the drivers and passenger sides and drop the windscreen down for the summer months if required.

Land Rover Series 3 LWB hardtop LHD petrol ex military MOT failure.
Sellers Comments - This Land Rover is I believe a 1978 vehicle, first registered in 1992 when demobbed (not sure which Service) it was bought by our Shoot as a gun bus. It has been serviced but I don't have a service history, it is not a cherished family owned vehicle. It failed it's MoT on corrosion in the rear crossmember and out-riggers but the rest of the chassis looks pretty sound. It starts and runs fine. It has done hardly any miles since we bought it but I cannot remember what the mileage is and couldn'y verify it anyway! I think the pictures speak for themselves but am happy to take more or answer any questions. As an MoT failure it will need to be collected by trailer/transporter.
