History: manufactured and bought new in 1991 by the MOD, originally a hi-cap body. Decommissioned and became road registered in 1998( hense being two different dates) 

In 2010 it was rebuilt to '92 CSW then converted to an overland/camper van. 

Bought in late 2017, almost completely rebuilt and sprayed inside and out to the beautiful colour of sandstone! With plenty more work being done to it. We purchased it on the basis of wanting to travel around Europe at ease and to suit our surfing and snowboarding/skiing adventures.

The '92 chassis and body painted sandstone in 2016.

Much much much more done and fitted, too much to write however if serious then I will go into detail with it all.

Bad points from my end, 

Hand break pivot broken, so hand real doesn't work.

Bulkhead is starting to rust near drivers mirror and passengers mirror,

Bubbling paintwork.  

Small amounts of rust on doors.

Sellers Comments - The landy drives very well, pulling away cleanly and with no hesitation upon acceleration.  No smoking at all from the engine.  I am not a mechanic and if it coughed the wrong way I put it into the garage to have a health check. 

The landy benefits from SAFEGUARD (which I currently subscribe to).  It’s a GPS tracker which offers pinpoint accuracy of the vehicle at any time, anywhere in the world.  This has been secreted within the vehicle and I will leave (because I have no idea where it is !) and the new owner can continue subscription at their own cost if desired.

The landy has a second row black rubber mat cut & edged to size in treadplate style. This can be put into place instead of the supplied fitted carpet, during bad weather.

Sellers Comments - Where do I start .... almost everyone in the Landrover scene knows this vehicle, it was a ground up rebuild from a bare prepared chassis... chelated, hammerited and waxoyld to death ..... the chassis is mint ,,,,, never plated ,,, no rust and better prepped than when it left the factory.

modified to lift it 14" ,,, yes that is 14" , a body lift... lift blocks,,, lift springs and massive 40" hard compound trepadors (not available in the UK and impoted at massive cost and like new

huge 10" wide unique arches to cover the hand made 12" wide banded rims..... this thing is 14" taller and over a foot wider than standard

has a unique flip front as its the only way to access the 300tdi engine without scaffolding lol

very rare split doors all round and a one off roll cage and soft top conversion that was made by pp cages and exmoor in a joint project for LRO magazine to show the conversion landrover should have offered

brand new head on the engine 500 miles ago, aluminium radiator, custom intercooler (top mounted) etc etc

suspension consists of HD springs ... 420lb rears .. 270lb fronts for road stability, x arm rear arms and high movement rear greasable ball joint, 6 degree front arms for castor correction and HD sumo bars along with a matching HD adjustable pan hard

colour coded LED headlamps with brand new spare set provided due to fading of the yellow) , unique front and rear lamps imported from a south african truck company (crystal NAS) , all rewired to have 2 reverse and two fog to balance rear

twin jerry can holders... twin number plates etc etc

range rover seats, custom dash (needs a bit more finishing) carpeted , sound proofed, triple battery system

roll cage... every nut and bolt used in build is now BZP 12.9 .... fuel lines replaced with copper and braided... new fuel tank... every busy is new.. all bolts are new.... entire braking system replaced during build... new servo... master cylinder.... brake pipes  (cunifer) ... 6" extended braided hoses ... new pads and new shoes... new drums... axles rebuilt with 12.9 bolts and all seals replaced with corteco

currently no MOT as she is in storage as ive not had chance to even play this year with my beach buggy taking up my time along with my series 3 landrover..... should imagine itll fly through with a bit of a blast and fresh fuel.... this will need no welding its like new underneath

few minor dinks on the body commensurate with age but she looks stunning... cant leave her anywhere without a queue of people taking selfies..... it gets pictures on the net daily when on the road and i get at least 2 or 3 people a month worldwide trying to claim its theirs and they built it lol

Sellers Comments - he Landy has quite a few things in with its sale. which are checker plate on parts of body arch kit and rock sliders. 16" mod wheels with discovery cooper sst tires loads of meat on them.  2-inch lift full set of new all-terrain dampers all round by terra ferma and 50/50 steering damper sits on them well and really comfortable ride.  

it has got a Salisbury axle to the rear and ujs have been replaced and there is hardly any backlash to shafts and diff lockers work as they should all fluids have been serviced in diffs and transfer box etc.. 

 smooth gear box with new clutch and dule mass last year. engine has recently had a full service with all filters idle pully and belt replaced and runs well and picks up as it should. the chassis is weld free it is solid all out riggers and rear beam are like tank Armor and it has not been bladdered in underseal I just hate when you see dog shit sprinkled with glitter.  this truck is solid ..

there is also the roof tent which is like new and been well looked after its never seen a shoe in it. ladder has been replaced we still have old one for a spare. this also has the awning too.

there is onboard T maxx air compressor T maxx split charge system with manual link auto link and monitoring unit for leisure battery with led lighting in in the back.

12v sockets usb and inverter all with their own battery monitor ideal if your running a fridge or something alike. this is all on a isolator and can be completely unlinked from your primary battery. there is a bit of racking in rear that suited our needs this is just bolted in and quit simply removed everything in the truck can be removed with just a few nuts and bolts.

roof rack with full parameter lighting front 42 light bar and rear flood and spot when in reverse. upper side lighting and light bar can all be used individually very handy. full winch bumper and bash guards to the front with 5 tonne winch included all working with an isolator located on bonnet for easy function. there is probably something iv missed but you are welcome to come view the truck ..

few bad bits... dings and knock scratches blisters to the body worst of which is on passenger side wing. passenger door has to be unlocked from inside. but all doors lock as they should. chubby box in centre could do with a revamp and there is general wear and tear to the inside. but overall a sound solid truck that just needs your personal touch.

've been a honest as I can with my description. There are a couple of small  cosmetic areas that I do not have the time to rectify and they are listed below:

1. The 4 side steps all work but are slightly out of shape. I was going to change to side rails but couldn't decide on black or galvanised.

2. The bed to the pickup is in need of a paint or a load liner as this has been used for a spare wheel etc. The paint is scratched and there are surface rust spots (no holes)

Both the above I have had priced and they can be fixed for about £250 depending on buyers choice.

I am a private seller and I'm only selling my beloved Land Rover as my partner can't drive it. We also we need something more practical for our family and dog. We would possibly consider a part exchange for a suitable car  that ticks all our family needs i.e. Estate / SUV / 4x4

For Sale My beloved Defender 3.9 V8. After many years and miles together and much emotion it is time for it to go.

Ok it is in Eastnor Green with RAF coloured roof and was a shoot vehicle before I bought it. It is time for its MOT and the gearbox has developed a bad rattling noise (lay shaft?) and being honest I need to sell as not getting used - only 50 miles in last 12 months. Had new footwells, bulk head good apparently, welding done on doors. New radiator 12 months ago. New brake servo, etc..
