Up for sale is a K reg Land Rover 90 200 TDI sold on a spares or repairs basis due to chassis corrosion and various other issues.

The LR itself is complete and together as the photos show, the engine and gearbox run well. The chassis is corroded as per pictures and needs work. Bodywork not bad for a LR of this age. Seats and interior in good nick, the dash is in good condition, most have been apart in there life then put back together with paper clips and chewing gum. Dog guard fitted. New door card for the back door to be included.

Brakes work however wheel cylinder leaking on rear.

Wheels and tires are good, 235/85/16 Cooper discoverer STT in very good condition with the spare being brand new.

Other than its above issues it drives surprisingly well. A good project for some one with the time. If i wasn't getting married in October i'd do it myself.

No MOT so will require collecting on a trailer or recovery truck. Cash on collection only. It is advertised elsewhere so i reserve the right to remove at any time. Please no silly offers i know what its worth. I'll break it if i need to.

Sellers Comments - I have owned the landy for about 2 years as upgrading to a newer one it's with a heavy heart it has to go as you can see body work looks old and tired but underneath is all sound it has had a lot of money spent on it mechanically.here is a list of the stuff I can remember steering box. Power steering pump. Starter motor. Alternator. Fuel pump. Water pump. Battery. New heavy duty clutch. Master cylinder. Timing belt rear exhaust. New discs. New calipers and pads. Various oil seals.new glow plugs. Swivel joint seals hub bearing. All paper work for repairs and parts .mot runs out in August .drives spot on and starts first time every time the fan belt could do with adjusting as slips when on full lock if I get time I will get it done.all tyres in good nick and wheels to .locking wheel nuts to all .there is also some off road items on the landy such as rock sliders diff guards diesel tank guard so also ready to off road .viewing welcomed.

Probably loads of extra things that i have missed i recommend viewing if your interested. 

i was using this truck as my daily up until this month, i may well use it again if it doesn't sell. everything works like the radio/heater/handbrake/lights etc. it is a little wallowy on the road as the suspension is quite soft but nothing you wouldn't expect, naturally the tyres are horrendously loud also. 

mechanically the truck is 100% had several new parts for the MOT ball joints/wheel bearings etc etc

the only faults i no off is slight oil leak from auto gearbox (sump gasket)

slight oil leaks from front axle from diff pinion seal & one half shaft seal.

body is hand painted green but looks ok in my opinion, body work has a few dents but again nothing too bad considering where this truck will take you. the full tubular body certainly helps keep you from damage.

this truck is priced fairly considering 4k gets you a standard 90, without a galv chassis (£1500 to buy £3000 if you want it fitted). if i simply unbolted the cage, winches & wheels thats 2k and you still have a modified 90 with a galv chassis at the same price as a rot box.

For sale is my 1985 Land Rover 90 4c. I bought this car in June 2014 and used it as my every day car till early 2016. I have replaced a lot of components to make it reliable as possible and it shows. Since 2016 I have used the car for the occasional off road day but haven't had the time to get full use out of it hence the sale. It is solid with repairs to the chassis which have been done to a good standard. It is an off roader so don't expect pristine paint, it was painted around a year ago using synthetic paint to make it as hard wearing as possible. All exterior black items are freshly powder coated. The bead lockers have dynabeads fitted allowing you to sit quite comfortably at 55/60 mph. There is still some vibration but it’s massively improved by the dynabeads. Front doors are corroded but its never bothered me.

Sellers Comments - The reluctant sale of my beloved Land Rover Defender 200TDI 2.5L. Fantastic condition for the age with a great chassis,  strong engine and no major problems, bit wet on the rear diff which I haven’t had a chance to sort yet. This 90 attracts some serious attention (inside and out of the landy community) with its good paint work and modern look. Serviced regularly and maintained to the highest standard (taking up most of my weekends since purchase!). 

Bulkhead in immaculate condition with a replacement made in 2015 from a 2011 TD5, great gearbox and powerful engine complements the solid suspension and ‘non-clunky’ drive, never let me down or had any major hiccups. MOT till May next year.

A very well looked after Landy . Although she is over 28 years old I have owned her for the last six years and she has had the best of attention and care throughout this time.

The old 19j engine was replaced with a genuine defender 200 tdi 2.5 litre turbo engine in 2013, and with current mileage at under 165,000 this is ‘light’ for defenders. Has also had a replacement gear box, radiator, universal joint, powers assisted steering pump. Installed NAS side and fog light, spotlights and bumper bar, sport steering wheel and other bits. She was totally resprayed in 2014 and had carpets fitted, with new headliner and full chequer plate fit out in the back. 

Some service history for my period of ownership, I bought her nearby where she had been used by a local landscape gardener in the previous four years.

Has an expensive heavy duty roof rack , front shield  and sports the renowned BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres with plenty of wear still left on them. Radio bluetooth cd player and hands free. Cobra alarm and central locking on front doors.

Starts on the button with usual puff of smoke but no engine rattles or leaks. Flew through the last MOT with no advisories up to Dec 2018.
