Was a import from Ireland as it was a Ex MOD vehicle
 MOT August 2017
 Full Service August 2016 including all filters being changed lots of old bills from the last owner.
Full exhaust system  replaced this month.
Vehicle does take a time to turn over and start but it always starts
Vehicle does smoke from cold but is ok once it's warm
Indicators intermittent work
I'm only selling this as I'm not   using it very often I think I have cover 250 miles since the last MOT.

Sellers Comments - Land Rover Series III 88inch Lightweight 1983 A Reg Here we have for sale a Land Rover Lightweight that is in very good condition. She has been re-listed with a lower reserve and updated details as I have taken in consideration current market value to be fair to bidders including some more history. The story is she was passed from a family friend after his age caught up with him to me and now it is time for it to go to a new home that I hope will look after it as well as she deserves. A little on the history- All the documentation is present and correct sir !!!. This has been done recently as the family friend had it in a garaged for number of years, he originally registered it back in the early 90’s over the counter at an old DVLA office after he acquired it from the military. For some reason back then DVLA registered it for the wrong year and entered an incorrect number (not noticed at the time). This I am informed was rather common in the old days I am afraid with the old non automated system.There are a few LR's on Ebay that have had the same issues

Land Rover series 3 1983 project very solid - Buy Now £800

Sellers Comments - 1983 Land Rover series 3 project Very solid chassis needs a couple of very small plates one on the front out rigger, one behind the near side front wheel and one on the rear cross member which is the size of a coin. Was bought as a project around a year ago but never finished as other projects came in the way. Had an engine in it when I bought it but have removed it as I used the engine in another series vehicle. When the engine was in the vehicle was running and driving a1 and everything worked as it should, lights electrics etc. The engine was a diesel and still has everything there to fit another back in. Breaks still work and clutch hydraulics are still present Needs welding on the footwells and a pillars aswell. Sellers Comments - Here for auction is the lovely ‘Ethel’, a fine example of a 1983 short wheelbase petrol Series III Land Rover. We purchased the car in February last year, as we had moved slightly further away from our horses, and needed to be able to get to them at any time, in any weather, particularly in the snow. Unfortunately, whilst she’s great for the short trip to the yard, longer trips are a bit of an undertaking in a Series III and the driving experience has not been passed as ‘wife friendly’. I’m ashamed to say, we’ve opted for a Jeep Cherokee instead so the much loved Landy needs a new home. So, we’ll get the bad bits out of the way first. The MOT expired on the 19th Nov 2015. I don’t think that there is a great deal to do though. The headlights need looking at as there is a wiring issue stopping them from switching to full beam. Embarrassingly this was introduced by yours truly, removing some huge spotlights that were fitted. Easy fix. You can have them if you want them as part of the deal. The only other issue I can think of for the MOT is that the brakes are a little grabby when coming to a halt, and pull right. The nearside brake also makes a grinding noise when releasing sometimes when cold. Probably a simple fix to suss once the drum is off, and I’m sure this is the source of the pulling as the offside is braking more efficiently. The good bits. I’d been driving the car on a regular basis, to my office about 5 miles away, and to the yard and she runs nicely. To improve things I had a new Webber carb fitted. She can be a little slow to start so I’ve also bought an electronic ignition kit which I haven’t had fitted but will include. The overdrive works, there are working freewheeling hubs, the chassis is good, and the bulkhead too. I haven’t offroaded her once in the time I’ve had her (it never even snowed in the end) so the body work is in fairly good condition for an old Series 3, despite the interesting camouflage paintjob that the last owner created. There are a few dings here and there, hopefully picked up in the photos. There’s a new silencer, new fuel pump, new master and slave clutch cylinders. I’ve also got an original oil bath filter to replace the K&N style one that the previous owner put on. You may also notice from the photos that there’s a sunroof and a cubby box where the centre seat goes. I have the centre seat from the previous owner which I’ll also include. I’ve tried to be as honest as possible and I think that covers most bits and pieces, but if you have any questions, just ask. If you are new to Series Land Rovers, please have a look before you bid, preferably at a few. This is a good one, but don’t expect anything like a normal car. I’m hoping that she’ll go to an enthusiast who knows what they are doing and can give this great old classic the attention and love that it deserves. I’m advertising elsewhere so I could end the auction early.

1983 LAND ROVER - 110 - V8

Sellers Comments - Landrover 110 (very late) V8. Very original with lots of receipts for work done. This truck has been loved in its time but ultimately the chassis has rusted and it has been sat in the corner of my garden for a few years. The engine turns over by hand and started last time I tried about a year ago (Battery now removed). The vehicle has sump guard, sill protectors, bull bar, side exit exhaust, 3rd seat and has had work done on the V8 (although I am struggling to find the receipts for this) including cams and tuning. I kept it in the hope of bringing it back to life but I have too many projects so it has to go. Not much rust on the body, just the windscreen surround by the looks of it. Vehicle is in Truro, Cornwall and the buyer is responsible for collection. You will need a trailer. I have the V5. 1983 LAND ROVER 88" - 4 CYL BLACK/CREAM BEAUTIFUL

Sellers Comments - Welcome to this ad, this is a truly beautiful Land Rover gets love everywhere it goes, it is a real head turner. The first day I bought it I got asked to sell it at the petrol station!

Not had this land rover long but due to other commitments I have to sell it, Recently had a  M.O.T on it passed with 1 advisory which was surface rust which was 100% dealt with. Its had 5x brand new tyres all around. New bench seats put in the back x2 which is ideal. Its had a rear ladder input on the back and a spare wheel fitted on the back which meant a new bracket. indicators and bulbs all changed front and rear. Fog Lights fitted at the top but not wired in yet looks awesome. Also a new indicator arm fitted.

Recently had engine seats and valves overhauled runs on unleaded new carburettor fitted (Electronic distributor available with the vehicle) does not need it but bought it just in case.

Body work great condition for the year and the chassie is solid!

As you can see this landy has had quite a bit of money spent on it since I have owned it, truly runs like a dream any trial welcome you will not be disappointed.

therefore  it is too expensive for me to keep on the road

my daughters and i will be sad to see it go
