Landrover 88" 2.25 litre petrol. - 1980

Sellers Comments - Landrover 88" 2.25 litre petrol. Not used since 1990.. only 58,000 miles. Local family owned and bought from original owner, Coventry City Council. (see log book image). Rare UCC Hydraulic pump installed from new with a take off at rear, all working. Mechanically this Landy is all there and works. Engine has had a small service with water pump and Alternator replaced. Starter motor has been rebuilt along with a new carb. (original carb included but will need servicing/ cleaning). Chassis is solid but needs rear member and some welding on back section under tub. Spares included (new knobs, gear gaiter, brake line to rear with flex). Clutch master cylinder has been replaced with new lines and slave cylinder. Gears and 4x4 transfer/ low range all work. Comes with a truck cab, door tops (need a clean up/ work), Canvas rear tilt with Galv frame. Tin ware for footwells and gear tunnel (removed to clean chassis/ gearbox linkage). No MOT, any inspection welcome. I am away now for a week but can answer any questions by email. May p/x. why... Located near Heathfield TN19 This will make a great investment once mildly restored. Will need trailering away, but will drive for loading etc. Buyer to collect or arrange collection.

Land Rover Series 2A - 1965 2.25 Petrol - 'C' Reg

Sellers Comments - ETL 141C was originally an RAF Vehicle and was decomissioned in the early 1970's (having been built at Solihull in 1965. I hold a certificate from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust which confims the date of manufacture as 4th February 1965 and the type of car and chassis number. The car is registered as an historic vehicle. She has less than 58,000 on the clock and there is good evidence to suggest this is correct to the vehicle (engine considered original and was overhauled to the block in 2013 and the vehicle has not gone round the clock. Chasis number and engine numbers are known and can be supplied on request. She had 2 former keepers, an engineering enthusiast whom I bought the car from (he had owned her for 3 years) and the individual who purchased the car from the MOD. Im selling because I dont really have the skillset to maintain the car. She starts very well and Ive done about 15 miles a week on average for the last couple of years with no issues. She has 4 new tyres and is in good condition for a car which celebrates 51 years in a few days time. Ive lost a windscreen wiper blade which needs attention, the rear view mirror needs putting on and Im short of a side mirror glass to make her legally drive away. The car has the right heritage, type and general condition to make a first class restoration. Recently replaced the leaf spings and put a new exhaust on. Put new tyres on last year and have done only local miles in them. As can be seen, the car has been owned by people who have maintained its authenticity.

Sellers Comments - 1974 Land Rover Series 2A 2.25 Petrol engine Starts first turn of the key! Gearbox & clutch working fine. Brakes working fine. I bought it with the intention of rebuilding it but other commitments mean I have not got the time to put into it. Bulkhead & chassis are corroded I was going to replace chassis with galvanized one and get the Bulkhead rebuilt & Galvanized as-well. There are no floorpans as can be seen from the photo's. Alot of the parts will need replacing or refurbishing.

THE SERIES HAS POLISHED UP QUITE NICELY BUT AS ALL WORKING LAND ROVERS HAS A FEW DIGS AND DENTS HERE AND THERE BUT ALL ADS TO THE PATINA OF AN OLD SERIES LAND ROVER

I HAVE 2 SETS OF KEYS FOR THE VEHICLE AND ALL OF THE LOCKS ARE FULLY OPERATIONAL SO THE VEHICLE ALL LOCKS UP THERE IS ALSO A LOCKING BONNET AND FUEL CAP PADLOCKS

This is my 1972 series 3 Land Rover truck cab which was registered in April 1972 and one of the first of the series 3. I brought this with the intention of restoring this classic Land Rover.  Sadly I just don't have the time and its just such a waste for it to be sat in the workshop.  It's a 2.2 petrol with good engine, good gear box and the 4 wheel drive works.  The chassis is solid and has only a few patches of welding which is rare for this vehicle.  Its had a new bulkhead in it time before i owned it.  In my opinion the Land Rover is a fine example for a restoration project.

I have replaced the leaf spring bushes and front shock absorbers. It is a genuine and straight vehicle.  The Land Rover drives perfectly and starts every time with the benefit of being taxed exempted. The current MOT has expired but it will come with a full 12 months MOT

Drives very well, 4 cylinder 2.25 petrol engine and series IIa gearbox work as they should.

Heritage certificate and file of past MOT's and receipts.

Brake system just rebuilt for MOT, brand new brake cylinders, shoes, master cylinder.

New fuel tank.

Chassis is solid, has had rear cross member, front chassis legs and a couple of patches sometime in its life.

Does have a little usual rust in footwells and on top of bulkhead corners but not serious, still very solid.

Original heater, Original wiper motors, Original steering wheel

This is a used Land Rover and does have a few small dents and scratches, not a show car but a very nice presentable vehicle.

1979 Land Rover Series 3 109" 2.25 petrol, MOT July, Daily Drive!!

1979 Land Rover Series 3 109"

2.25 petrol which starts and runs everyday,

MOT 18th July 2015,

Solid Chassis and rear cross member,

Bulkhead has been repaired but is solid,

New Radiator last year,

New water pump last year,

2 New rear tyres last year,

Spare wheel carrier on the rear door and bonnet,

20 litre petrol can included,

Front light guards included,

New rubber boots for the handbrake and gear levers included,

2 spare front door bottoms included, in ok condition,

New drivers door top last year,

4 wheel drive works as it should,

Current passenger door is welded together and could do with taking off and a new door top buying for £60 from paddocks and being fitted with one of the supplied bottoms,

Speedo currently doesn't work, I believe it is the cable that will need replacing,

Slight leak from the exhaust manifold gasket,

Breather pipe needs fitting to the petrol tank,

Battery which is fairly new will need a new strap as it is currently held down with zip ties,

I've started last year to paint the inside with green hammerite, and will provide with enough paint to completely repaint the rest of the inside and the outside, including the roof and black bits,

The back has the odd bolt holes in the sides where stuff has been bolted to before but it doesn't really affect it,

Engine leaks a small amount of oil, but not enough to worry about,

The body is in OK condition, with lots of small dents and scratches but nothing to bad and will look fine when painted,

This is an old land rover so please don't expect a show stopper,

It runs and stops and never gives up,

No overseas bidders, I will not deliver and cash on collection only,

It is advertised elsewhere so may remove,
