Land Rover 90 defender 200tdi off road ready not 110 rangerover challenge truck

Sellers Comments -
for sale is my much loved Landrover Defender 90 County

She is Fitted with a Discovery 200tdi Engine thats on 108k

She had her LT77 Gearbox and Transfer box professionally overhauled and reconditioned around 5k ago

Also fitted with a Heavy duty Borg and Beck clutch at the same time

The M.o.t is until September 2017

I have owned her for 2 years now and in this time other than the gearbox deciding it had had enough, she has been absolutely great for everything iv needed.

Genuine reason for sale as Unfortunately she just doesn't get used enough to warrant owning her due to my young family.

I originally purchased her as a fully standard truck and have over the past 18 months fitted everything you can see

She was originally a horrible pastal blue colour when i got her so me and a friend set about sanding her back and re spraying her in M.O.D grade satin black

Around 10 months ago i had all the underside steam cleaned and then rubbed down.
I then re painted about 80% of the chassis in red lead anti rust paint as i was going to wax oil and tetra shutz the whole underneath but unfortunately i just never got round to doing it.

She has never been taken to / or even any were near her limit offloading .
She has been used a few days a week for my short commute and every other weekend for a couple of hours steady greenlaning.

NOW FOR THE LIST:

Heavy duty Winch bumper

12000lbs Warrior/ Champion winch

Comes with a shiny new Winch roller as the other one was rusty and rough

Thick Heavy duty Galvanised steering guard

Terrifirma Heavy duty stering damper

Super Wide wheel arches (plastic £150)

+2" Lift kit  Springs and Shocks   (have set of +2" springs and shocks spare with her)

5 x Deep Dish Modular steel wheels

Huge 5 x  285/75/16 Cooper ST tyres (34" tall?)  All pretty much as good as new.
Spare on the roof rack has never touched tarmac !!   purchased around 12 months ago (£650 fitted)

Galvanised Roof Rack (bolt together style)

Diff guards x2 bolt on

30mm Wheel spacers

Rear LED brake light (above door)

Snorkel

Straight threw Exhaust (brand new from downpipes section, also a mid box is included )

Super heavy duty rock / tree sliders

Heavy duty Body/ tub sliders with build in locks across front doors ! (Extra security)

Front light bar and 4 x spots

Rear LED super bright 20w spotlights

Brand new battery 6 months ago

Full wading kit all various connections and the pipe (included but not fitted)

Rear bumperettes (bolted not welded on)

Rear removable and adjustable tow bar

Set of front Wing and Bonnet Ali Chequer plate (comes with but not fitted ideally needs a repaint )

2 County bench seats in the rear

The previous owner replaced the rear Crossmember so that is like new !

Unfortunately The drivers and passenger seats are tatty but with seat covers on has never bothered me

Comes with spare Airbox , starter motor , sprigs and shocks , chequer plate , exhaust mid box .

Also i have a full service kit to go with her  (air filter , oil filter , diesel filter)

I have 2x bucket seats (material not leather ) i purchased with the intention to fit one day . these could possibly be sold for a small extra fee is wanted by the new owner

The Front spotlight and winch need wiring up.
I have the cable and the switches also the snorkel needs reconnecting.
I will try my best to get them done asap, if not both can be seen working

The truck is located south Nottingham area .
Ng11 postcode 15 minutes from city centre.

Landrover Series 3 200 tdi, overdrive, tax free

Sellers Comments - Hi up fore sale is my landrover series 3 200 tdi with overdrive, 1 years MOT, 10 months tax, also tax free. This is my daily driver, I done 320 mile trip in it and it never missed a beat, and averaged over 30 MPG, Please see photos I have a lot of old mots and history receipts, I totalled them up and in the last few years it comes to £3900 spent on the landy, One receipt was for £1249.33,which was to fit the 200 tdi plus, new clutch, new timming belt, plus other things, I will list just a few other things that I have receipts for but not all as I will be here all night, new fuel tank, replace all brakes, new battery, alternator belt, full service, heater plugs, new shockers, new steering bars track rod ends, new alternator, Five new wheels, four new goodyear tyres, other type new tyre for spare, total cost over £600, the list goes on and on, I have all the paper work in my name, two sets of keys, all the locks work fine it drives really well for a landrover of this age, its only for sale as I always wanted one but its just to agricultural for me, now the not so good things, its bean hand painted a few times and to be honest its shit it looks better in the pics, but still ok for a old landy, there are some dings and scratches age related again its a old landy the speedo doesn't work, but the fuel and temp work fine, the heater matrix has bean bypassed but it only needs a little bit of solder to stop the very small weep easy fix, it has the normal landy oil leak for the transmission as they all do, the bulkhead has bean welder in the past, the chassis has only had small bit of welding, the rear cross member has got a few bit of welding on it but its still all strong, there's lots of years left in this old girl, they go for ever, and you can get parts for theses any were cheap, to some it up, a very good cheap to insure landy good mpg looks ok for its age.

1973 LAND ROVER SERIES 3, 200 Tdi ENGINE, TAX EXEMPT Great steering and brakes, powerful with 30 mpg economy

RESTORED 2006. - MOT until February 2016.

78,600 miles showing on the odometer.

200 Tdi ENGINE checked over and fitted with new cambelt.  Professionally installed into the vehicle in 2013 complete with turbocharger, intercooler, Glencoyne anti-vibration engine mounts plus an electric cooling fan.

NEW GEARBOX overhauled in 2014 at a cost of over £1100 by the recognised specialists, Midland Transmissions, to handle the extra power of the 200 Tdi.  All gears, four wheel drive and high and low ranges work as they should. Clutch overhauled with new release bearing.

This Land Rover is comfortable and quiet, and drives extremely well. It has VERY GOOD STEERING which is not heavy and does not wander, due to the correct original size 5 inch wheels being fitted with NEW AVON RANGER ALL-TERRAIN TYRES in 2015.

The BRAKES pull up strongly and in a straight line.

Structurally very sound with good bodywork, thanks to a photographic  RESTORATION in 2006.  Waxoyled and well-maintained since.  Original unmolested appearance, very attractive with black paintwork as an alternative to the usual colours.   Solid chassis, bulkhead, crossmember and floors. The bodywork is not in concours condition and has a few minor blemishes – what old Land Rover hasn’t? – but nothing at all serious.

Great cab INTERIOR with excellent deluxe front seats, inertia reel seat belts and stereo AM/FM radio cassette (that’s the white box on the dashboard in the pictures). The fuel and temperature gauges have recently stopped working (it has been suggested that this is due to the instrument resistor needing replacement, but I haven’t had time to investigate).  The nearside door mirror is cracked but serviceable & the nearside windscreen has a small chip,  but neither affect passing the MOT.

Full expensive Wright Off-Road mats and sound insulation (as used by the British Army) installed on the bulkhead, floors and seatbox (see www.wrightoffroad.com) plus an additional heavy rubber acoustic insulation mat on the rear floor.

Halogen headlamp conversion.

Replacement heater.

Electronic flasher unit.

Towbar (of course!).

Swing-away rear spare wheel carrier with cantilever action which swings automatically with the back door as it is opened.

The large and detailed HISTORY FILE includes the photographic record of the restoration, invoices for repairs and maintenance, service records and a Workshop Manual on CD.

HERITAGE CERTIFICATE from British Motor Industry Heritage Trust confirming the date of manufacture.

Regretful sale due to change of circumstances.  My family will be sad to see it go, especially my wife who loves driving it (unlike many Landy wives, which says a lot for the useability of this particular example).

This isn’t the cheapest Land Rover for sale, but it is far from being the most expensive either.  However, it is probably one of the most driveable as a result of having been fully sorted during regular use after the restoration and treated to the sensible upgrades detailed above. LAND ROVER series 2a IIa 1965 tax exempt with MOT 200TDi

The engine starts nicely & runs well it does have slight smoke on start up but then clears. There are no nasty rattles or bangs & there are no significant oil leaks very small amount underneath does drip slightly like they all do

Sellers Comments
With a heavy heart I have decided to sell my loved Land Rover 1969 200TDI  Series IIa.

I've owned this vehicle for 2 years, I loved the idea of a simple tax-exempt vehicle and have done a lot of work to it in my ownership.  Unfortunately, the family found it way too agricultural for daily use also my 17 year old son is buying a car & I need the room on the drive, so the Land Rover has to go.

The engine starts nicely & runs well it does have slight smoke on start up but then clears.  There are no nasty rattles or bangs & there are no significant oil leaks very small amount underneath does drip slightly like they all do.  She has a series 3 gearbox so no synchromesh in second gear, had gearbox input/output shaft oil seals replaced as when I first had her she used to leave an oil trail down the road, that has been fixed.  All the gears are there & high/low ratio selects properly. The clutch is fine & the car has never jumped out of gear. The car has an MOT until January 1st 2016. The V5 (on which the car shows as an historic vehicle) is in my name, at my address & the car is currently on the road. The mileage shows 17390, for what that's worth.

There has been welding done on the chassis as you would expect and in the future I am sure it will need patching again but at the moment all appears solid, the foot wells are very tidy with chequer plate floors, the door top are not brilliant but windows work etc.  The “elephant hide” type seats are in very good condition, in the middle where the third seat would normally go the battery sits below.  I also have spare hard top that can come with the land rover.  The brake shoes have been replaced all round.

The panels are very straight but the land rover would benefit from a re-paint.  I have a virtually full tin (5Ltr) of Bronze Green paint for body work, Etch Primer, Limestone for the wheels.  There are brush marks visible in the paint, particularly on the bonnet. The best I can say is that it needs re-painting but the paint above mentioned will be included in the sale and is plenty to re-spray her about five times over.

The rear tow bar and rear electrics have been re-wired in the last twelve months.

Two jobs that would benefit of being done soon in my opinion are replace the Cam-belt and place a new thermostat in.  These are two jobs that I would do if I was keeping her for another couple of years.

The canvas roof is a heavy material canvass type I have glued a water proof material to the inside which has made it 97 percent water proof but there are a couple drips getting into the rear but nothing to worry about.  The canvass has windows in the side and rear.
The battery is my old spare out of our old land rover freelander. It turns the motor over briskly but I couldn't answer for it's ability to hold that charge.  I have had the alternator reconditioned professionally in the last fourteen months.

I like the style & look of the large tyres reasonable amount of tread left on them.  I have also had two of the wheels sand blasted and then sprayed them myself in the Limestone the other two wheels could do with having this done too.

It's a half-century old it comes from a time before: ABS, child seats, air bags, cat converters, radial tyres or power steering. The suspension is crude, the drum brakes are adequate I have had all the hub seals done also on all the wheels and cooper brake piping all round.  The 200TDI does make the car go very well probably too well for the current brakes if I was keeping her long term would probably look to upgrade the brakes.  I haven't done more than a few dozens of miles in this in the last two years & wouldn't attempt a journey of any length without a comprehensive tool kit & a selection of spare parts.  My advice is if you're going to be surprised by one or more of: the comedy wipers, uncomfortable ride, ludicrous “heater” (but does work!), then this probably isn't for you.

She is great fun to drive though especially with the roof off.  I would prefer anyone that seriously wants to buy it to view it first before bidding & see the vehicle, or at the very least get in touch. I'll cancel bids from any one with fewer than 10 feedback entries. I'm selling this in an auction with absolutely no warranty given, implied or in any other way expressed, so be sure you know what you're getting into. I expect payment in cash on collection & there will be no haggling after the hammer falls.  I may choose to end early as it is advertised elsewhere.  Lastly no overseas bidders I will not ship/post overseas.  Happy bidding.

LAND ROVER SERIES 3 88 INCH SWB 200 Tdi Great steering and up to 30 mpg - Location Wimbourne

1973 LAND ROVER 88 INCH SWB SERIES 3 HARDTOP.
TAX EXEMPT.
MOT until February 2016.
78,600 miles showing on the odometer.
Sellers Comments
If you are looking for a Series Land Rover to use and enjoy daily, this must be for you.

Comfortable and quiet to drive, this Land Rover can achieve 30 mpg with the diesel 200 Tdi engine.

200 Tdi ENGINE checked over and fitted with new cambelt.  Professionally installed into the vehicle complete with turbocharger, intercooler, Glencoyne anti-vibration engine mounts plus an electric cooling fan.

NEW GEARBOX overhauled by the recognised specialists, Midland Transmissions, at a cost of over £1100 to handle the extra power of the 200 Tdi.  All gears, four wheel drive and high and low ranges work as they should. Clutch overhauled with new release bearing.

This Land Rover is comfortable and quiet, and drives extremely well. It has VERY GOOD STEERING which is not heavy and does not wander as it has the correct steering geometry owing to the original size 5 inch wheels being fitted with NEW AVON RANGER ALL-TERRAIN TYRES.

The BRAKES pull up strongly and in a straight line.

Structurally very sound with good bodywork, thanks to a photographic  BODY-OFF RESTORATION in 2006.  Waxoyled and well-maintained since.  Original unspoiled appearance, very attractive with black paintwork as an alternative to the usual colours.   Solid chassis, bulkhead, crossmember and floors. The bodywork is not in concours condition and has a few minor blemishes – what old Land Rover hasn’t? – but nothing at all serious.

Great cab INTERIOR with excellent front seats, inertia reel seat belts and stereo AM/FM radio cassette (that’s the white box on the dashboard in the pictures).

Full Wright Off-Road mats and sound insulation installed on the bulkhead, floors and seatbox (see www.wrightoffroad.com) plus an additional heavy rubber acoustic insulation mat on the rear floor.

Halogen headlamp conversion.

Replacement heater.

Electronic flasher unit.

Towbar (of course!).

Swing-away rear spare wheel carrier with cantilever action which swings automatically with the back door as it is opened.

As this is a 42 year old vehicle you cannot expect it to be perfect, but the only faults of which I am aware are:      1.The fuel and temperature gauges don’t work, which has never concerned me (it has been suggested that this is due to the instrument resistor needing replacement, but I haven’t had time to investigate).       2. There is minor corrosion in the door bottoms which is more cosmetic than anything else.     3. The nearside door mirror is cracked but serviceable.    4. Chipped nearside windscreen but it doesn’t affect the MOT.    5. There is a little constant velocity joint noise on full lock, but my garage says it’s nothing to worry about.

This probably isn’t the cheapest Land Rover for sale, but it is by far from being the most expensive either.  However, it is probably one of the most driveable as a result of having been fully sorted during regular use after the restoration and treated to the sensible upgrades detailed above.

Now for the serious bit: please only bid if you want to buy my Land Rover as the highest bid is a binding contract.  The winning bidder to please pay £200 deposit on Paypal immediately after the auction and the balance in cash within seven days of the end of the auction . Collection only please, or arrange your own transport.  Thank you.

LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90 4C 200TDI/ DISCOVERY RETRO COUNTY, VERY VERY SOLID 4X4 YOU BUY MINE WE MAY BUY YOURS DEALER FACILITIES C/CARDS

LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90
SHORT WHEEL BASE COUNTY
DISCOVERY 200TDI CONVERSION

1987, THIS TERRIFIC WORK HORSE OF A DEFENDER RECENTLY ARRIVED WITH US IN PART EXCHANGE. VERY BRIGHT AND TIDY FOR ITS YEARS WITH THE USUAL WEAR AND TEAR ONE WOULD EXPECT FOR A WORKING TRUCK OF THIS AGE. WHAT WE WOULD SAY HOWEVER IS THIS, UNDERSIDE YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A MORE ROCK SOLID EXAMPLE, OUR LAND ROVER MECHANIC WAS SUITABLY IMPRESSED AND WE THINK YOU WILL BE TOO.

WHIST IN HIS CAPABLE HANDS FOR SOME FINE TUNING AND FETTLING HE ALSO NOTICED THAT THIS EXAMPLE (AND AS DISCUSSED WITH THE LAST OWNER) HAS HAD A PROPER FACTORY RECONDITIONED 200TDI DISCOVERY ENGINE FITTED, NOTICEABLE BY ITS GOLD/ YELLOW COLOUR, THIS WOULD EXPLAIN ITS SERIOUS 'GET UP AND GO', IT'S CERTAINLY NO SLOUCH YET COMFORTABLY RETURNS 32+ MPG.

THE CURRENT OWNER ON THE LOGBOOK PURCHASED IT BACK IN 2008 AND HE FITTED THE ENGINE AND CARRIED OUT ALL ITS MAINTENANCE (MECHANICAL ENGINEERING BACKGROUND). NO SERVICE BILLS AND ANY PARTS REPLACEMENT INVOICES WERE SWALLOWED UP IN HIS OWN COMPANY RECORDS. SINCE WITH US WE HAVE FITTED ALL NEW DOOR LOCKS, TIGHTENED UP A ROCKER COVER BOLT (WEEP), AND ATTENDED TO SOME OTHER WEEPS, THE ENGINE RUBBER MOUNTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH SOFTER RUBBER, AT IDLE IT STILL HAS A LITTLE BIT OF VIBRATION BUT ON THE RUN IT'S FINE.

MILEAGE ON THE ODOMETER IS 168,000 MILES, BUT OF COURSE IT HAS HAD THE REPLACEMENT ENGINE FITTED IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. THE CURRENT MOT RUNS UNTIL AUGUST 31ST 2015. IT STARTS FIRST TIME EVERY TIME, NICE GEARBOX AND CLUTCH COMBINATION, HANDLES AND BRAKES AS YOU WOULD HOPE. THIS IS NO SHOW PONY BUT IT IS VERY BRIGHT AND HONEST, AND AS ALREADY STATED SHE IS VERY GOOD UNDERSIDE AND MECHANICALLY STRONG, OUR CUSTOMER NEEDED A RELIABLE VEHICLE TO TAKE HIM TO WORK AND UTILIZE AS A WORK VEHICLE AND THIS HAS DONE THAT JOB WELL FOR HIM THE PAST 7 YEARS, IT WILL NO DOUBT CONTINUE TO DO THE SAME FOR ITS NEW OWNER.

YOUR CAR/ 4WD MIGHT BE CONSIDERED IN PART EXCHANGE, ALL AS PER EBAY'S RULES OF COURSE (I.E YOU BUY MINE WE MAY BUY YOURS), AND WE WILL VALUE YOURS AT OUR SENSIBLE TRADE IN PRICE. SHOULD YOU REQUIRE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT MARTIN DIRECT ON 07970 466748/ 01202 813761 OR JORDAN ON 07816915125

EBAY STATES NO PART EXCHANGE HOWEVER YOU BUY MINE I MAY BUY YOURS.
all viewings strictly by appointment only.
If you have less than 10 positive feedback, please make contact before you bid or your bid may be cancelled.
A £250 deposit will be required within 12 hours of the auction end and vehicle to be picked up withIN 5 days unless prior arrangements have been made.
payment can be made by cash, BANK transfer, DEBIT CARDS AND credit card (2.5% charge).
We are situated 5 minutes from Ringwood, Dorset, directly off the main A31 dual carriageway, Collection from Bournemouth/Southampton airports or Bournemouth train/coach station is not a problem.
Viewing and test drive most welcome, I am available days or evenings, but all strictly by appointment only. I would say that probably 70% of my stock sells before the end of E-bay classified/auction, either to quick thinking serious buying E-bayers, or via other forms of advertising and recommendation, therefore I do reserve the right to withdraw the vehicles from sale.
please! if you are going to ring me with an offer and i accept that offer, back it up, i have lost count of the number of people who once having agreed a price with me, then never show up. i am an honorable decent chap and simply expect the same from others.
I do prefer to speak to prospective purchasers direct, I believe you can get a much better idea of who you are dealing with by phone, besides I'm hopeless on the keyboard!. But either is OK. Any other concerns or questions you have please don't hesitate to get in touch.
All the best. Good luck and perhaps we'll speak with you soon.

Regretably I am selling my newly acquired, restored and uprated tax exempt Series 3 Land Rover as I am unable to drive it due to my defective knee.

This great vehicle has been completely restored, rebuilt and converted some years ago at a cost of several thousand pounds. It has a 200 TDi engine,5 speed gearbox with power steering and ancillary items, all of which operate perfectly.

The current MOT expires 5/3/2015 and I am willing to put it through a new test, subject to the purchase price at my expense.I have no doubt that it will pass easily, also there are previous mot's.

The Landy starts immediately in all weathers, with the 5 speed gearbox operating smoothly and the transfer high and low ratio's operating freely. The chassis, door panels, bulkhead, floor pans etc are solid and the springs and shockers replaced and upgraded.

Fitted Land Rover alloys with good tyres, tow bar and drop pin fitted with electrics.Highly efficient power brakes, all in perfect working order.Runs very well with plenty of power and economical on fuel. The previous owner said he travelled 130 miles and used just £15 of diesel !

There are a few things needing doing such as the radio needs a permanent live feed so as to be able to use it with the ignition off. The bonnet needs fettling where it hooks on by the windscreen, though it is fixed with the bonnet stays. The speedo sticks at around 40 mph.

Historic vehicle so tax exempt. Inspections welcome, though if you wish to test drive it you must produce  valid insurance.

Cash on collection please,no paypal unless you pay the fees.Deposit by paypal ok but prefer cash.

This Land Rover needs no money spending on it and it is suitable as a daily driver, great looks where ever you go. Offers considered, but only sensible ones will be considered. No part exchange considered and no delivery, though I do know a company who would deliver, but only after the vehicle and the delivery costs have been paid by the purchaser.

It is advertised in several places so may be removed at any time.

Land Rover Series 3 6x4 1975 200TDI Tipper Over drive Hot Spur

Land Rover Series 3 6x4 Tipper
Believed to be a Hot Spur conversion.
1975 N registered
MOT till July 2015
Fitted with Low mileage (approx. 70k) 200TDI engine by previous owner which runs beautifully.
Very tidy installation and retains intercooler.
It goes really well, pulls up hills without changing down, even with the 7.50 tyres,
it makes me smile every time I drive it, that counteracts the noise!
Had new:- Radiator, Clutch, Cambelt, Water Pump, Brakes, copper brake pipes, diesel lift pump, footwells.
2A gearbox with Overdrive
6 x 7.50 Goodyear G90s (4 at 90%, 2 at 75%) on wolf rims
New Deluxe trim front seats.
Tipper Motor needs a fresh set of brushes, but it is working.
Slight weep from one of the hydraulic pipes
It is plated at the standard 109 diesel weight which is 3000kg from memory...
It is 6x4, i.e it has a trailing undriven rear axle.
I stupidly forgot to write down the bed size - will get it sorted ASAP.
