For Sale here is my Landrover series 3 1971 Tax-exempt ad Mot exempt from 1st may classic insurance was £80 for the year.

She is in general very good order for her age with a few dints the chassis has had some welding for the last mot but is all good now have many receipts for work carried out ie new head (unleaded) pre mot work shocks and 4 new tyres. Excellent engine and drives as you would expect an early series 3 would. 

With this is a classic Rice horse box not bad condition for age new lights and mudguards. Will require some work to complete but is safe and tows very well. Dont think the brake works and will need some welding to front door brackets not a huge amount to do. Great for Conversion along with the Landy would look great.

Comes with both a tilt and hard top (though I have never attempted to fit the hard top)

I've owned it for about 4 years and it has been regularly serviced while in my ownership. I just spent about a grand to get it through it's last MOT including the footwell. It should be Tax free, but currently it is registered from when it left service, so that will need sorting with the DVLA to get free tax... I have a letter from Land Rover as proof of age.

The two front tires currently do not have inner tubes in them as the guy who fiited them insisted they weren't needed. They stay up for about 2 weeks. I have two new inner tubes that just need fitting. It could probably do with the drivers side foot well replacing at some point, and it could do with a lick of paint, though I always liked the 'well used' look :-) I think I have a 5l tin of Nato Green in the shed that I'll throw in... not literally :-)

Land Rover Series 3 III 88" Genuine Station Wagon, Diesel

This is a very rare beast and I really love the way it looks and drives.

Only 751 88" Home Market 921 chassis number Station Wagons were built between 1971 and 1975.

They were a lot more expensive than a standard Hardtop hence few were sold.

Chassis number 92100697A with original chassis plate on bulkhead.

GRD 609N was registered in the Royal County of Berkshire on the 2nd January 1975.

Only 3 previous owners.

Original raised letter number plates!

Station wagons had the Tropical roof with roof vents, full headlining, 4 seats in the back and of course sliding windows in the side panels with some sound proofing in the front to provide a slightly more luxurious ride!

Finished in Marine blue with a Limestone roof.

V5 document present and correct

Tax exempt.

New MOT until Dec 3rd 2018

The chassis is in very good order and needs no work.

The bulkhead is also very good and solid with older repairs to the footwells.

This Land Rover has never been restored so all the door shuts are great and the bodywork is very straight.

I do not believe it has been painted and therefore has a wonderful patina that only age can aquire!

In 1994/5 it was fitted with a Land Rover 19J turbo diesel engine that had been rebuilt specifically to put in this vehicle with receipts to prove.

It all looks totally original and has been done to a very high standard

The mileage at Feb 1995 was 37500 miles and it now stands at 45700 miles which I believe could be genuine but do not have enough proof.

It drives very well with a good turn of speed and excellent gearbox.

Free wheeling front hubs fitted.

Fitted with Compomotive alloy wheels which were a period option.

Such a useful Land Rover for logging/dogs and kids etc!!

Ready to use and enjoy.

Sellers Comments - Hi Your looking at my Series 3 Landrover (beverley) Its with great sadness that i have to sell this lovley old truck. She has bee a very loyal honest car from day one. Its fitted with a 200 TDI engine and and fairy overdrive. all working as you would expect Has a 3 year old soft top that can removed on a nice hot summers day. So on to the good points.. Tax exempt 200TDI Engine Pulls well in all gears Fitted with later Defender front end to alow for the turbo intercooler to be fitted. Fairy Over drive Roll Bar Free wheeling front hubs Working 4 wheel drive and low range Big of road/on road wheels fitted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires (all got loads of tread) Very solid chassis (cleaned and reundersealed when i got it 3 years or so ago) no rust and dosent look to have been welded .. Waxoiled at the same time. 3 year old soft top (Exmore Trim) Also have a Bikini Hood (Exmore Trim) never fitted .. New Turbo insert fitted about a week after I got it Had a new rear diff cover as the old one was leaking and rusted out New brakes all round about 2.5 years ago New master cylinder about 1 month ago Fitted with a battery isolater switch Has a snorkel fitted but is not connected Have a hard top and side windows but will be a pain as it has a roll bar (you will need to arange pick up of this if you wanted it. So the not so good bits... Speedo stoped working shortley after last years MOT (cable is busted) Leaks oil (like they all do) mostley from the final drive housing (have new seals but never fitted) Smokes on start up for about 5 mins till its warmed up. Heater switch fell apart so is liked out fan is on all the time Boddy work was painted buy last owner and is not the best of jobs...Look at the pictures.. Apart from that its a great honest car with and would not take much to get it back in to tip top shape if you so wished. For me i like its ruffness and used look :) runs and dives like they should and thanks to the over drive will keep up with moden trafic no problem. Selling due to pending divorce. it will be genuinly missed. all my family love this old truck and my kids alway would prefer to go out in this rather than the boring old sabb i use as a daily driver. LAND ROVER SERIES 3 109 (EX-MOD)

Sellers Comments - Bought as a fun / 3rd vehicle 2 months ago as an early birthday present . She has been used 3 times since the 200 mile round trip to collect her, she is not going to get as much use as we had hoped, so she needs to go to a better home than the end of our driveway! As stated above there are   NO Advisories on the MOT!  She drives as a Land Rover should and made the 100 mile trip home under her own power in the summer heat without a complaint. You will see from inspecting her that there are many recent parts including: lights all round, complete replacement canvas, door tops / bottoms, all leaf springs. as well as Carburettor & electronic ignition. There are however no receipts for these, or the services / maintenance, as the previous owner put them through his accounts. Since our purchase of her, I have added a GPS speedometer, rev counter & digital thermostat to compensate for the age and accuracies of the existing equipment.  I have also installed rear (removable) bench seats (receipts available). Landrover Series 3 Safari - Galvanised Chassis

I am selling my series 3 safari landrover. I took this as payment for a job because it has a galvanised chassis which I was going to use on another landrover, but I decided it was too nice to break up so intended on restoration but now I've decided to sell as I don't have the time.

It is a 1979 88" 2.25 diesel model. It has a galvanised chassis, fairey overdrive, 7 seats, full roof rack, bodywork in good overall condition, log book with only 4 previous owners. The odometer reads 57000 miles which I believe could be fairly genuine.

The bad bits are that the bulkhead is pretty shot, also the insulation in the body has rotted some other steel body parts. I have no keys but the engine does run if 'hot wired', runs sweetly actually, when it was delivered I drove it round the yard but it hasn't moved or started since. 

As I said I don't know too much about it but any questions please ask, inspection welcome and recommended before bidding. Collection only be I may be able to deliver fairly locally at cost, please ask before bidding.
