Landrover series 1 1955 107" pickup Ex Raf -

For offer is my 1955 Land rover series one 107" pickup genuine right hand drive home market model

Chassis number 57200571
Believed to originally be an ex raf vehicle based at sywell aerodrome Northampton and then later become a recovery vehicle in its second life

Original 2lt petrol engine, this starts runs and drives buatifully, and selects gears accordingly.

As you can see it is mostly original Throughout with all its key features obtained including original
Door cards, bulkhead interior trim, rear interior light Panel and headlining with the correct roof bars, l678 lucus beacon and original lucus side lights and military rear no plate lamp, these of which are unusual to sometimes still see on these vehicles after 60 years.
Originally a light grey vehicle with dark blue wheels, the blue colour of which can be seen underneath all four. these are also all date stamped 55" so are also original to the vehicle.
as is the original paintwork still visible also.
It was then painted white with an orange roof/bonnet as a recovery vehicle in its second life before retiring to private ownership

All panels are in very good condition and correct.
Bulkhead is good, previously had footwells and top rail
Some new parts had also been fitted previously including new seats in the correct blue, door glass, rear window glass, most rubber components and Dynamo all
seen some but little use

All lights and ancillary equipment work, wipers, washers, beacon, siren horn and lights ect work as they should
Complete hood sticks/canvas tilt is fitted, in usable condition but would benefit with repair on front window to truck cab panel (included)

The underside of the vehicle also retains all its original features. exels, springs, master cylinder fuel tank.
the chassis shows signs of surface rust and has seen a number of repaires throughout the years. some of which could require tidying to suit your needs

Overall she is a very strait looking vehicle with all the right pieces, it has seen little use over the past years but starts drives and run as it should
But will require some tidying/recommissioning for use or restoration at your choice
Slight whine from front diff, but good replacement unit is included as is new front prop shaft.

reluctant sale due to change of commitments so unfortunately funds are needed, v5c present with 3 previous owners and all the relevant numbers
viewing is also recommended

Please No time wasters or people poking holes in this vehicle as it is 60 years old and does need attention but not demolition
