I wanted to start with a solid, clean Snatch Defender and remove all the excess weight & unnecessary equipment to create a unique off-road rural Hunting/ exploration vehicle with Armored/bullet proof protection and Overland survival capability.

Solid throughout, Original rust-free reinforced frame & chassis with a fresh coat of waxoyl protection applied. (A light coating so the factory frame finish can be seen).

Factory 300 TDi engine installed with 5 speed manual gearbox, Hi-Lo range and diff locks.

It has been fully lined, and has a full roof rack (metal box seen on roof is not part of the sale) the roof tent can be included (subject to negotiation).

It starts and drives well, ideal for camping / expeditions.

Please don't ask me technical details, I have had a couple of LR experts look over the vehicle and tell me its in great condition and have recommended the price I should ask for.

Welcome to the auction of my Defender 90.

I have owned & loved this truck for over 3 years and I'm a massive Land Rover enthusiast. The V5 is in my name, MOT until 19th August 2019, had an oil & filter this summer and this week have had all 5 tyres taken off, cleaned out and a re-seated, along with a new water pump & starter motor. I have stacks of receipts totalling of thousands of pounds, and there has been a lot more spent on it over the years.

As you can see it's been modified for off road use but this also add's to a Defender's looks, it's a real head turner and people always ask about it.

I have an LED Light Bar which has been removed but I can throw it in, I also some spare parts for the truck which can go with it, including an alternator and front & rear brake discs.

In the last year the following has been replaced: transfer box, turbo, front diff, CV's, radiator, thermostat, water pump, starter motor, snorkel has been fabricated, exhaust has been made, fuel pump tweaked for more power the list goes on and on...

The mileage is stuck on 99,999, I have never thought about getting this fixed. The truck is a little bit tatty round the edges, it's an old Defender which has been used for what it's meant for - getting muddy and having fun! The chassis is in good nick but he bulkhead is a little rusty at the top. The tappets could do with being adjusted, the rear brakes could do with being replaced soon, but I am throwing in the discs and you can pick up the pads cheap. It is amazing off road and you really have to try to get it stuck but being a Defender it's a bit draughty, but that has never phased me.

I am sure I have missed bits off this, I am trying to be as fair & honest as possible, it is an old girl, but it always get me home with a big smile on my face, it turns heads wherever I go and is great off road. You are welcome to come and view, however proof of insurance will be needed if you want to drive it, otherwise I'm driving!

I will be gutted to see this go, I have just started my own business and don't get to use it to it's full potential.

Bulkhead, this may require attention in the footwells,(common) these are armoured landrovers and have armour that will need removing to examine properly

window glass has delaminated, however it is easy to remove and bring back to life by removing the perspex shield inside

Air conditioning is fitted to this vehicle

The keys are with the vehicle as is the mod654 that is required to road register it

date into service was 19-11-93 making it one of the last 30 built

This vehicle served in Northern Ireland and Iraq

there is a club with a wealth of knowledge on these vehicles which are quite sought after especially being a v8 and open to export to the American market.

Has had new denim twill seats fitted to front three seats in 2016, with x3 great condition seats with a rear mounted 3-point harness for the centre seat (only really suitable for children though) Benches are fitted to rear, with x4 anchored lap belts, so seats 7 people in all. Original MOD seats come with it, plus a bikini top. Sitting on genuine Wolf rims on G90 tyres with bonnet mounted spare and brand new G90. There's also another x5 military tyres, with two more unused G90's, see separate listing.

Good honest Defender and will be sorely missed, but I can't really justify keeping it as does no miles. Genuine 75k miles, left Army service on 51,932 miles. Always looked after, routinely changed oils, running bulletproof n/a diesel 2.5 (19J) engine. Disc brakes, so stops well & unusually has power steering, which is a real bonus, in fact couldn't live without it.

The vehicle had the rear cross member professionally replaced in 2014, along with a new gearbox LT77 transmission (from Ashcroft Transmissions) along with a tdi 3-piece Borg & Beck clutch fitted and uprated gearing, so it gets along, for one of these. All receipts to prove work and extensive service history.

It's also had a new front diff fitted in 2015, cold air ducting kit and raised TD5 air intake, plus really useful standard 12v towbar & electrics kit. Halogen light kit & new Exmoor trim hood 2014, doesn't leak!  Bulkhead is sound, outriggers all good. New panhard rod bushes fitted, and brake pads in 2018.

MOT'd with 2 sets of keys, all locks work and comes with original forces operating manual and disposal papers from Withams. Have spent over £5k on these upgrades and essential tweaks. MOD toolbox fitted in the rear. NATO Rollbar. Hoops and sticks al in good order. Vehicle came from Warminster Support Unit and was used around the base, so has seen no active service.  It could do with a paint, really only ever had one layer of paint from MOD, thankfully not layers of hand-brushed squaddie green!

Starts with no problem.
The Defender has been painted by hand with Matt black enamel paint.
The rear canopy is removable.
The spare wheel carrier is hinged to take the weight off the door.
There is an isolation switch attached to the battery.
A Volt meter has been installed in the central console.

1993 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90 SV. VERY RARE. 1 OF ONLY 90 EVER MADE.

 90SV SPECIAL EDITION

I am reluctantly offering for sale my very special 1993 Land Rover Defender 90SV 200tdi. If your not aware of the 90SV special edition, it was produced in 1992/93 by Land Rover Special Vehicles Operations dept and only 90 were ever made. It marked the beginning of the 'fun/lifestyle' Defenders.

Currently there are only 37 90SV's licensed and 20 registered as SORN by the DVLA and since 2008 i am only aware of 9 that have been up for sale.

I purchased this one from a millionaire who had owned it for 14years. It was just left in his garage and did less than 1000miles/yr. This is evidenced by a VOSA history check.

The bodywork as you can see from the pictures is incredibly straight with no dents. The special metallic paint is called Caprice green and was only ever used on the 90SV. The paintwork is generally very good although upon closer inspection the paint on the wing tops is a little flat with a bit of bubbling in places and there is a single scratch on the nearside. There are some other paint bubbles dotted around the door and a little oxydisation on the passenger door.

The doors are all solid and in great condition. The rear door opens sideways and has a swing away spare wheel carrier.

The chassis is in excellent condition and has two areas that were welded at the last MOT. The rear crossmember is excellent with no corrosion and the bulkhead is solid.

The 90SV comes with side steps and A frame as standard.

I have just replaced the roof at a cost of £1100. The number plate remains on the Defender.

Inside it has rubber matting in the front and rear. It was the first Defender to have the internal bulkhead replaced with a bar and comes with cloth seats in the front, centre cubby box and two bench seats in the rear. It also has an immobiliser. 

It has 5 almost new BF Goodrich A/T tyres on original Freestyle alloys.

The Defender drives absolutely perfectly. The gearbox, clutch and steering are all very stiff and feel like new. I have no doubt whatsoever that the mileage is correct.

The blowers are currently working, they keep blowing a fuse so will get that looked at. The heater works fine.

It has a long MOT until December 2015.

The Defender is available to view near Dorking, Surrey. 20 mins from jcn 8 or 9 M25.

Please only serious buyers/collectors. I know exactly how much the last 9 of these sold for going back 7yrs so please no silly offers.
