Thank You for viewing my LAND ROVER DEFENDER 300TDI OFF ROADER, or as I call her the GREEN BEAST because of the colour.

I have owned her for the last four years & have spent many happy hour out off roading or driving the green lanes around Devon, but since moving to Wales to live I have not used her for what she is capable of.
Apart from starting her up to drive the few miles each month to Land Rover Club, or for MOT & servicing, or to the local tip to dispose of rubbish she has sat on my drive.  Hence the reason for selling.
She took part in the Land Rover Discovery 25th Birthday weekend on the 11th /12th October 2014, on Plymouth Hoe.

I collected her from Doncaster in 2014 & drove her home to Plymouth, boy that was some road trip. She has been regularly serviced at each MOT & wax oiled also. Any & all repair work has been carried out professionally, receipts are available to see & will be handed over on sale.
I will be as honest as possible & list as much as I can, you are more than welcome to ask any question & it will be answered to the best of my knowledge.

This listing is for my Land Rover Defender 90 300TDI. I am only selling this due to the fact I am buying my first home this year so don't have the funds or time to use and enjoy this great Offroader. As seen in the pictures there is a lot of modifications to this vehicle that make it what it is.

Modification/recent new parts

• Winch with wireless controller
• Bush cables
• 4x front spotlight (needs wiring to centre console switches)
• 2x rear spotlight (needs wiring to centre console switches)
• Snorkel
• Full breather kit installed
• Braided brake hoses all round
• Steering guard
• Front and rear diff guards
• Special track insa turbo tyres (no damage to inner tread or sidewall of tyres only used offroad twice and the spare is brand new)
• 3" lift
• Tree and rock sliders
• New radiator
• New starter motor
• New alternator
• Fibreglass Puma bonnet
• Raptor engineering centre console with fitted cb radio and jvc radio
•  Disk brakes all round
• New wheel bearings plus spare
• New disks and pads
• New rear prop shaft
• New handbrake pads and cable
• Terrafirma shock absorbers
• Rear dislocation cones
• New brake callipers
• Chassis is in great condition for its age only a handful of patches
• New indicator lights fitted
• New reverse lights and brake lights (needed indicators so brought the set )

There are a few small issues mainly due to age

• Needs a new flasher unit (i flooded the old one driving through a pond)
• Air horn needs cleaning out to work properly (flooded in same pond)
• Needs a small amount of welding around the shock absorber mounts nothing major
• Passenger door needs welding/replacing
• Passenger door window mechanism needs replacing (opens fine doesn't close)
• Oil leak not major but will need looking into as it is leaking onto the exhaust
• Handbrake needs adjusting since new cable and pads have been fitted

Due to not having the time to properly use the car it currently has no tax mot or insurance so will need to be collected by a trailer or car transporter.

It’s been a fun thing to own and use and it’s had its use it’s been in a lot of water and done hills and never let me down only reason for sale is I need the money for other things and I barely use it now

for sale is my much loved Landrover Defender 90 County

She is Fitted with a Discovery 200tdi Engine thats on 108k

She had her LT77 Gearbox and Transfer box professionally overhauled and reconditioned around 5k ago 

Also fitted with a Heavy duty Borg and Beck clutch at the same time 

The M.o.t is until September 2017

I have owned her for 2 years now and in this time other than the gearbox deciding it had had enough, she has been absolutely great for everything iv needed.

Genuine reason for sale as Unfortunately she just doesn't get used enough to warrant owning her due to my young family.

I originally purchased her as a fully standard truck and have over the past 18 months fitted everything you can see

She was originally a horrible pastal blue colour when i got her so me and a friend set about sanding her back and re spraying her in M.O.D grade satin black 

Around 10 months ago i had all the underside steam cleaned and then rubbed down.

 I then re painted about 80% of the chassis in red lead anti rust paint as i was going to wax oil and tetra shutz the whole underneath but unfortunately i just never got round to doing it.

She has never been taken to / or even any were near her limit offloading .

She has been used a few days a week for my short commute and every other weekend for a couple of hours steady greenlaning.

The Front spotlight and winch need wiring up.

I have the cable and the switches also the snorkel needs reconnecting.

I will try my best to get them done asap, if not both can be seen working

Land Rover Defender 90 trayback 200tdi off roader challenge truck

Sellers Comments -This defender has got the best out of all the Land Rover engines the bombproof 200tdi which has had the turbo uprated and the pump turned up so now has plenty of power. Which it does need to turn those massive 37x12.5 r16 soft compound maxis trepadors which have only been used for 2 pay and play days along with the big offset modulars which all cost £2000 and are basically new. It has been trackbacked by the previous owner which could do with a bit of touching up in a place or two but overall it is a good truck and will just about go anywhere you point it. The uprated radius arms, trailing arms and springs mean the axle twisters are no problem, you can get this truck into all sorts of funny shapes and still have all 4 wheels on the floor. It's got a goodwinch with the famous bow motor to power it and the synthetic rope which will need replacing one day as it snapped while in deep mud so it's a little shorter now (that's how powerful the winch is). It's a cheap defender if you start adding up what the parts cost £2000 for the wheels and tyres on there own never mind the rest!

LAND ROVER V8 TRIALER OFF ROAD AIR LOCKING DIFF FIDDLE BRAKES

Sellers Comments - Land Rover based modified competition trialer. Front diff lock, fiddle brakes This vehicle has been designed and built for off road use. I have recently been allocated Registration mark BKU 390 B ENGINE 3500 cc Rover V8 engine, in very good running condition. Recently serviced. Looks to be a military recon unit Ex Forward control FC 101. Oil is clean and rocker assemblies tell me that this engine has done very little work. Accuspark electronic ignition. Distributor breather system to stop water ingress through drain holes. Starts runs and drives very well. GEARBOX LT 95 Forward control FC 101 gearbox. As with the engine this seems to be an excellent unit that has done little work. Drained oil was very clean. Gearbox changes gear very well no whines or knocks has good strong synchromesh operation. Centre diff lock works well, recent new actuator and selector valve. FRONT AXLE 4 link suspension with panhard rod. All tie bars rose jointed. Left hand drive swivel housing fitted enabling track rod to be fitted at the front of the axle. Track rod and drag link are solid steel. Recently rebuilt. New CV joints and bushings, new half shaft, new swivel seals and bearings. Recent new wheel bearings and hub seals. ARB Air locking differential. Fully functional with no knocks or bangs or air leaks. Axle and swivel oils recently changed. Defender front brake calipers. Brake pads hardly worn excellent brake discs. QT Diff guard. REAR AXLE 3 Link suspension with panhard rod all rose jointed. Recently stripped and rebuilt. Replacement standard rear diff. Recent new bearings and hub seals. Defender new front brake calipers excellent discs, which work very well with the fiddle brakes. Diff guard. FUEL TANK Custom bespoke aluminium fuel tank. 27 litre capacity. SUSPENSION Suspension is based around coil over shocks. 4 link with panhard rod on the front and 3 Link with panhard rod on the rear. Have been informed that they are Old Man Emu units. They work very well with this vehicle and it has crazy amounts of axle travel. The suspension has very positive damping and is very well suited to trialing. WHEELS Discovery wheels with turned centres 5 with tyres and spare rim. 5 New Malatesta Kaiman 235/85/16 Tyres SPARES AND EXTRAS Comes with fire extinguisher, spill kit, tow rope, jack and wheel brace. Spare wheel rim. 2pairs rear half shafts, set of spark plugs. To be offered to prospective purchaser, Gwyn lewis bead lock kit ( will not fit to these rims as the wheel well is reversed) Overall this is a very capable off road trialer. The Land Rover is on the road at the moment. There has been a recent registration transfer and I have been allocated registration BKU 390 B . I have V5C registration document for this allocated number, and a valid MOT certificate. NOTE VERY IMPORTANT. This vehicle has been designed and built for off road use. It's modifcations are heavily bias for off road trials. These modifications severely affect its on road handling and performance. I happily use it for local journeys for parts and supplies and local green lanes I treat it as a TRACTOR 30mph. If you think you can drive this away for 100 miles think again. Best picked up by trailer.
