Chassis is solid but had had repairs over the years, rear crossmember is wrong but overal no thin areas Bulkhead req footwells/ repair... Top half is good It has 5 dated 57 wheels with new 600x16 tyres, the paint is original with patina. Sellers Comments - I am selling my tax exempt, 47 year old, leaf sprung Land Rover.  It is one of the last of the Series 2a models and has been mechanically well maintained.  The bulkhead is in good order as is the standard chassis which has been wax oiled yearly.

The body colour is Nato Olive Drab Green with a custom leaf design.

I have owned the Land Rover nearly 8 years and drive it 2 - 3 times a week.

It has a 2.25cc petrol engine (LPG professionally fitted in 2012 and has been run on this fuel since installation).

4 speed manual.  Four wheel drive and low range in good working order.

Full stainless steel exhaust.

MOT til September 2018.

Land Rover Series 3 III 88" Genuine Station Wagon, Diesel

This is a very rare beast and I really love the way it looks and drives.

Only 751 88" Home Market 921 chassis number Station Wagons were built between 1971 and 1975.

They were a lot more expensive than a standard Hardtop hence few were sold.

Chassis number 92100697A with original chassis plate on bulkhead.

GRD 609N was registered in the Royal County of Berkshire on the 2nd January 1975.

Only 3 previous owners.

Original raised letter number plates!

Station wagons had the Tropical roof with roof vents, full headlining, 4 seats in the back and of course sliding windows in the side panels with some sound proofing in the front to provide a slightly more luxurious ride!

Finished in Marine blue with a Limestone roof.

V5 document present and correct

Tax exempt.

New MOT until Dec 3rd 2018

The chassis is in very good order and needs no work.

The bulkhead is also very good and solid with older repairs to the footwells.

This Land Rover has never been restored so all the door shuts are great and the bodywork is very straight.

I do not believe it has been painted and therefore has a wonderful patina that only age can aquire!

In 1994/5 it was fitted with a Land Rover 19J turbo diesel engine that had been rebuilt specifically to put in this vehicle with receipts to prove.

It all looks totally original and has been done to a very high standard

The mileage at Feb 1995 was 37500 miles and it now stands at 45700 miles which I believe could be genuine but do not have enough proof.

It drives very well with a good turn of speed and excellent gearbox.

Free wheeling front hubs fitted.

Fitted with Compomotive alloy wheels which were a period option.

Such a useful Land Rover for logging/dogs and kids etc!!

1961 Series 2 Land Rover SWB 88" **TAX EXEMPT** Galvanised chassis

Sellers Comments - 1961 Series 2 Land Rover 88" on a galvanised chassis and tax exempt. MOT 15th june 2018 The price is £3650 - so please don't message me saying you will give me £1500 for it im not in a hurry to sell it, and the longer I keep it, the more the price will go up :))) The chassis was galvanised by previous owner and at the time, they replaced it with the series 3 bulk head and soft dash. The car lived in Scotland at there holiday cottage and only done aprox 150 miles a year for the last 10 years. MOT's and Pictures to prove all this. 2 1/4 litre petrol engine with new fuel pump, plugs, points, cap, leads, rotor arm, coil he runs like a dream. A bit paint would have this car looking awesome, but I just haven't got time. there is holes underneath the bottom door hinges, I have brought a replacement panel for one side but not had time to fit. Its a proper shed to drive, so don't be expecting a showroom car, I'm sure you are aware you have to steer this car to stay in a straight line. and once you got the hang of the gears they are easy to find lol No seatbelt, no nothing if I'm honest - but every morning at the turn of the key and a bit of choke he starts. yes when it rains you get wet but just wear a coat. In the winter to keep warm don't rely on the heater to do this, it does blow out hot air but if I'm honest you get more hot air from a fart. In the summer the roof comes off and you look pretty cool driving it (writing this bit makes me not want to sell it) and it does put a smile on your face. Landrover 88" 2.25 litre petrol. - 1980

Sellers Comments - Landrover 88" 2.25 litre petrol. Not used since 1990.. only 58,000 miles. Local family owned and bought from original owner, Coventry City Council. (see log book image). Rare UCC Hydraulic pump installed from new with a take off at rear, all working. Mechanically this Landy is all there and works. Engine has had a small service with water pump and Alternator replaced. Starter motor has been rebuilt along with a new carb. (original carb included but will need servicing/ cleaning). Chassis is solid but needs rear member and some welding on back section under tub. Spares included (new knobs, gear gaiter, brake line to rear with flex). Clutch master cylinder has been replaced with new lines and slave cylinder. Gears and 4x4 transfer/ low range all work. Comes with a truck cab, door tops (need a clean up/ work), Canvas rear tilt with Galv frame. Tin ware for footwells and gear tunnel (removed to clean chassis/ gearbox linkage). Land Rover Series 3 88"county station wagon

For sale is my 1982 Land Rover 88" series 3 county station wagon. in russet brown, 2.3 5 bearing diesel engine.

This has gone through a 2 year restoration. 

Not like the other adds that claim a

Full restoration. Ground up restoration. Full nut and bolt restoration. Then when you look at them they have done half a job. Three quarters at best. 

This is a proper full restoration with no stone left unturned. Every thing that could come apart has been apart and restored. Fixed or renewed using original new old stock parts where possible. All rebuilt on a Richards galvanised chassis. 

The engine has been stripped down and had many new parts. The head was sent away and skimmed and had new core plugs fitted. It's had new pistons and rings. Bores re honed.new big end and main bearing shells, Stripped of paint and gunk and re painted in its original colour. It's also been to a Land Rover specialist to have the timing sorting out and now runs as it should. 

It's had a full new uk made wiring loom fitted. A full body fixing kit that consisted of 1000's of correct nuts bolts washers and other fixings. The gear box was also stripped and checked over and received a new clutch. New uk made handed parabolic springs. Axels all stripped cleaned and greased. All new seals and gaskets. All the body panels are original apart from new doors. Still retains the original sundim glass. Wheels are the original along with the 7 seats. All new sound deadening and correct hardura matting in the front. All body panels were stripped and sent off for painting inside and out. All the interior county spec trim was sent off and re made and recovered. The roof was also sent away to have the correct roof lining made and fitted by an ex employee of exmoor trim. Has all it's original roof vents. All the galvanised trim has been away and re galvanised. Retains its original colour of russet brown with correct county stripes. 5 brand new tyres. 

These are the main points. the land rover has done 32,000 miles, i cant prove this is genuine but the bloke who made the roof lining who worked at exmoor trim said the seats are all original with the original foam and said in his opinion that it had not had a great deal of use looking at the seats and thought the millage could well be correct, but as the engine has been stripped its as good as new so the millage shouldnt matter to much,You will see what else has been done in the list of new parts. Be warned. It's long. and you would never believe there could be so many parts to a land rover, i have all the receipts for the parts bought, so here goes.

This Land Rover has been done with no expense spared. I have over 2000 pictures of its progress. I have around £13000 worth of parts in this and over £3000 In having the engine and gearbox stripped and re built. In Total including to cost if the vehicle it currently stands me at around £18.000 but try finding another one like it.  

I'm sure any serious buyer will come look at it. But if not I can send as many pictures as you like. This is idea to import as this year is fine for import. This would have to be sorted out by the buyer. I can have it transported anywhere in the country at buyers cost. As for a quote.

Land Rover 88"diesel restoration barn find

Sellers Comments -  88" classic Land Rover diesel. With overdrive.This vehicle is through a friend who has sold his property. It was his fathers car who sadly passed away and could not part with it so it was parked in the dry barn for the last 5 yrs. he has now asked me to sell this. I took a second hand battery and put it on the landy and she started after the second turn. I have driven this up and down the private lane and all gears work 4wd all engages and works no overheating issues and goes well. The body as you can see by the photos is fairly straight apart from a few little scrapes and knocks. It is showing 85000 MLS but please make your own mind up.It has some history that I have photographed . The chassi will need work outriggers floor but a lot worse out there.she has been standing a week now and she started first time and I used her to pull the trailer through the mud to the horses. Sellers Comments Land Rover Series 1. 1958 88 The Land Rover starts and can be moved about. I originally bought this with the intention or a rebuild but have now realised I really don't have the time. Since buying it I have replaced the 2 front outriggers and the rear chassi section and plated some sections on the chassi. Really the car wants to be stripped and rebuilt but if the brakes were looked at and the petrol pipes are replaced it could be used as it is but I suppose it is down to what you want. I would rather anyone who is interested to view the vehicle first but I suppose anyone who knows about these will have an idea of what to expect. The Landy is fitted with parabolic springs an shockers to match It is fitted with an overdrive and also free wheeling hubs. The plate BAS would be ideal for someone named "Barry".

1976 Land Rover 88" Safari Great project Vehicle

Sellers Comments A rare opportunity to own a genuine Land Rover 1976 88" Safari. This Land Rover is full of character. Purchased over 11 years ago as part of a package deal it hasn't done anything since although, with a booster pack it fires into life and trundles along just fine.
