Finally I have agreed with the wife to sell my loved Defender 90 wide track, mega spec Defender 90, this is one of my Defenders that I have had upgraded in many many ways, I wanted the very best 90 wide track style Defender there is, so I had this car built and upgraded to this now incredible looking Defender.
The specification list is truly massive and comprehensive, everything is of the best quality available, the parts fitted were not the cheapest that could be sourced, but the best. I was wanting to keep this one to show it this year, but as I have far too many cars one had to go, so reluctantly I decided it would be this one. I will list the upgrades etc below, but as the car has so many upgrades I may well miss a few things. The car looks 100% better in real life, the pictures although good do no justice to the car with its immaculate paintwork complementing the professionally fitted body kit and other items. I had Colne Valley Defenders in Huddersfield do the upgrades and used their mirrors, bumpers, exhausts system, dash box, cubby box, steering wheel, a very special roof center console with additional high quality speakers built in.
It was a factory XS specification car, it has factory ABS, traction control, stability control, heated front windscreen, heated seats, air conditioning, Alcantara full roof lining, electric front windows, Premium front and rear leather seats in black with white contrast stitching, it has a complete full leather dashboard, front door cards, rear window trims, rear door card, screen pillars all in black leather with contrasting white stitching, upgraded door handles with Defender script.
The speedo dials are Electro-luminescent items dim-able and colour changeable, it has a double din gloss black center console set, with a large touchscreen, SAT NAV/ DVD unit, and a reversing camera with bluetooth connectivity, rear camera, front parking sensors to the front bumper,and bluetooth hands free kit. The roof console is a Colne Valley Defenders special order item and looks absolutely fantastic with the built in roof speakers. with a leather centre cubby box which has an extra thick large pad in black leather with white stitch for extra comfort. The steering wheel is from Colne Valley Defenders, it looks great, tasteful unlike many others you see.
The outside of this gleaming Santorini black car is complemented with a full panoramic glass set including the rear door glass which is heated, the rear door has a very special rear top hinge and all the visible bolts have been upgraded to stainless steel high security items, to the rear there is a genuine NAS rear step, with a rubber step trim, it has a fully fitted/ connected rear tow bar, rear mud flaps with an awesome quad exhaust system in stainless steel, great usable Colne Valley special edition side steps in body colour, it has extra load rated 20" alloy wheels and the tyres are like new, underneath the car it has a full new 1" lowered suspension with a return to center steering damper, large diameter up-rated anti roll bars, the chassis has been protected and sealed for rust prevention/protection. The Front bumper is another Colne Valley Defenders exclusive item, it has 4 DRLs with driving lights, a front separate tow eye set including covers, stainless steel powder coated grille, stainless steel bolts, backing plates, with parking sensors and painted in body colour to the highest standards. The front lights are LED items again with DRLs, it has NAS smoked lights, supercharged grille set powder coated black, a super charged style bonnet of very high quality, with anti theft beautiful designer bonnet hinges in body colour, it has Colne Valley Defenders exclusive door mirrors with DRLs and Audi style DRL indicators built in, these again are fully painted in body colour along with the mirror arms, the doors have the highest quality wind deflectors fitted, stainless steel door entry sills to all three doors, the body kit was professionally fitted, and to a much higher standard than any other kits we have seen fitted, it was not simply glued on like most others wide body kits are, the car was then subjected to a full detailing process including a 12 stage polish and then a 5 stage wax protection system was applied, making this Defender super shinny and polished to the same level as my Lamborghini was polished to, it is just amazingly shiny, the interior also has full front & rear Land Rover rubber floor mats as new, with additional high quality rubber over matts to the front.
The engine was up-rated in power by the selling main dealer, I was told this was achieved by way of a Bowler engine power upgrade to 170BHP, with a large Alli Sport inter cooler etc.
The car looks,runs and drives like new but much better, given the suspension,wheels and the above enhancements.
