However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. Land Rover Series 1 - 80 inch - 1951
Sellers Comments Early landrover 80" in great running order but not concourse. I've had this for a few years, most of which have been spent in the workshop making it a good safe drive. The brakes have been fully replaced from pads to slave cylinder, master cylinder, pipe work and he addition of a servo. It now stops as it should considering the engine. The engine is a rover 3.5 and runs well with no leaks or smoke. The ignition has been fully revamped with new electronic distributor, leads, plugs and coil. It comes with a Kenlow fan, new after market seats, full new stainless steel exhaus from the manifolds onwards. Chassis, bulkhead etc all solid. It comes with door tops and canvas roof but are tatty. The winch is a Warn Tabour with remote control and is as new, this is not included in the auction but is included in the buy it now price. Any inspection welcome
