2002 Defender 90 TD5 CSW 76,945 miles

Sellers Comments - I have owned this car since June 2005, 2 previous owners shown on V5, one of them was Land Rover. During this time it has been maintained by my local Land Rover specialist, and whenever it failed an MOT the fault was corrected with new parts.. Serviced every year regardless of mileage. Engine, transmission, drive shafts and axles are Factory standard, and have never been interfered with by amateur front garden mechanics!! Chassis and rear cross member/outriggers are corrosion free and never had any welding.. it has been Waxoiled on two occasions, 2012 and 2021. New gearbox and clutch by Land Rover specialist in 2017... All repairs and maintenance is documented. Body work needs attention in places as is usual with a 20yr old vehicle.. Two things wrong are. 1... wipers work but dont park. 2... trailer warning light on dash is permanently on after fitting LED lights all round. There are no other warning lights or issues. The vehicle has heated front and rear screens, heated seats, electric windows, remote central locking, factory fitted alarm/immobiliser, traction control, ABS, factory fitted head lining and 5 alloy wheels with road tyres fitted. MOT expires June 2022. Also fitted by Land Rover from new are a Safari Snorkel and Warn winch with winch battery and split charge system (also fitted from new by Land Rover) I have fitted a snow cowl on the air intake, Led lights all round, front spotlights, rear work light and wading blanket. Land Rover Defender 90 V8 Auto Satin Grey

Sellers Comments -The Old Cinema is proud to offer for sale this incredible Defender 90 for sale. This has been built as one man's lifelong vision of the ultimate Defender. This very special vehicle pulls together work by some of the most renowned Defender modifiers to produce an absolutely incredible vehicle. As with all vehicles the beating heart is the engine. This Defender has been to Twisted for a full 6.2L V8 installation and is now boasting around 430bhp and a 6 speed automatic gearbox. This has been mapped correctly and a custom dual exit stainless exhaust fitted so that the soundtrack is just as good as the performance. All of the required drivetrain upgrades were carried out at the same time including chassis bracing, pegged differentials, heavy duty shaft etc. The list is endless. Whilst in-build it also had air conditioning retrofitted to make it a little more comfortable through the summer months. Other works have been carried out by IRB including a full Fox suspension set up with Eibach anti-roll bars and an upgraded big brake kit to the front and rear using AP racing components. All of this ensures that the 90 handles whatever is thrown at it for both on and off-road use. Naturally standard 16 inch wheels would be of no use to fit over the huge brakes, so 18 inch Evo Corse wheels have been fitted and all shod in BF Goodrich all terrain tyres. With such special mechanical credentials the Defender needed to look the part also. It has been stripped down to the chassis, every panel rubbed down and 2k primed before being painted in satin bosphorus grey. Whilst being rebuilt all of the door and window seals have been replaced and the chassis has been coated. A 6 point roll cage has been added for safety and has been painted in rally matt black along with the roof, wheel arches, chequer plate and side steps to tie the whole thing together.The rear side panels have been converted to have opening storage units and sand ladders mounted to the rollcage giving this 90 real purpose. All hinges and door handles have been replaced with billet items and lighting is now all LED including a light bar and two rear work lights. Inside the car has undergone full rewiring to ensure every component works faultlessly.Twisted custom dials with auto shift indicator have been fitted and a full alpine media installation has added the features we have come accustomed to in modern vehicles such as rear view camera, Apple CarPlay, DAB radio to name but a few. The speakers have also been upgraded and an amplifier fitted, vastly improving the standard Land Rover offering. Seating is by way of Exmoor trims diamond XS leather heated seats and the full dashboard, automatic console and door cards have also been trimmed to match. The steering wheel is a Momo offering and is removable thanks to an Optimill security boss. The roof lining has been finished in deep charcoal alcantara and brings the whole interior together. Ultimately still a vehicle of functionality, the rear boasts a full-length lockable storage drawer with a rubber false floor top.Supplied complete with its personalised and very apt number plate V111 BFG it is ready to view here at The Old Cinema in Thirsk.
