Starts runs drives fine brakes are soft and will need bleeding as its been stood for a while in the garage, i think its tax and mot exempt , Roof comes off and screen folds down looks very cool, 4 excellent big wheels and tyres , This Defender was sold but the chap changed his mind,the owner has really been messed around with this sale so i am just trying to help out so iv bought it in order to sell it quick as we really need the space and all the chaps are now in Dubai really just want it gone so be quick -

1991 Land Rover Defender 110 Ex MOD Tithonus Hardtop

These vehicles were rebuilt through the MOD with no expense spared prior to decommissioning and fitted with thier unique looking firbreglass hardtops

Since release this particular example fell into the hands of a motoring enthusiast who used his experience as touring car mechanic to install a 3.9 Efi V8 engine and Automatic gearbox .

The quality of the installation is clear to see with many details like silicone hoses and a bespoke stainless exhaust system which produces an entertaining sound track

Sitting on military wolf rims on nearly new tyres with spacers it has a slightly more aggressive stance .

The chassis is in amazing condition , the bodywork is equally solid with a couple of badges of honour as a reminder of its previous life

An exmoor acoustic Matting system and vinyl seats complete the interior

Power steering has been fitted and a towbar

Land Rover Defender 300tdi Automatic Recently Refurbished

Sellers Comments - Land Rover Defender 300TDi Automatic I built this Land Rover over the last 6 years Loads of pictures available of the rebuild I used the engine, gearbox, transfer box, & front and rear axles of a 1999 low mileage discovery all mechanical works where done by a land rover specialist. The engine has had a new turbo, lift pump, starter motor & uprated diesel pump and been serviced every year. Has plenty of power pull well and can keep up with modern traffic, gearbox changes smoothly. Gearbox has had fresh filters & oil and a new oil cooler The heater box has been reconditioned & works well. The chassis was cleaned off & sanded back and some minor repairs and was then given 2 coats of hammarite bear metal primer & the 3 coats of hammarite black paint and has been toped up every year. All inner arches have been wax oiled It was given new standard height suspension just last year as I did not like the ride that the 2” lift gave (2” was put on when it was first converted) It was completely polybused and has had new prop-shafts. Due to the discovery axles it has disc brakes all round vented on the front, stops well it has a reconditioned power steering box & a return to centre steering damper which eliminated the land rover wandering steering. Genuine Defender alloys taken off a 2015 defender with continental AT tyres (tread almost as new) has spare alloy which has never been on the car so as new It had a full respray and puma bonnet, KBX grill & light surrounds and side vent. The rear tub & side steps have been painted with raptor ultra-tough bed liner All window & door rubbers where replaced, all new seal to roof & body work where replaced. Fire & ice side steps , LED lights all round, one piece rear window & heated front screen Interior has headlining, sports steering wheel, puma seats, Ashcroft engineering centre console, Raptor Metal dashboard binnacle, Mud centre dashboard with 7” touch screen stereo with phone Usb Charging port & start button .Exmoor Trim Fitted Carpet The dashboard top has been covered in vinyl. I had a minor accident back in 2019 and the insurance company wrote the land rover off due to roof damage, as they said the roof is part of the structure of the car, They obviously did not do there home work as all land rover owner know that body ids bolt on so it dose not form part of the structure, the end result is now a category S, I have pictures of the damage, There is probably loads I have missed about the rebuild any questions just contact me Only selling as i have way to many projects, and with dogs & grandkids i very rarely use it. Land Rover defender rare genuine v8 3.5 factory station wagon, Very few of these still on the roads today, Comes with heritage certificate, RHD home market, supplied by southern county’s garage, Crawley,  West Sussex. Correct matching numbers, engine, lt85 gearbox and axles, Chassis number SALLDVBV7EA/316923, clearly can be seen. Engine number 24G01675A, original factory fitted v8 3.5 engine  Genuine mileage of 69.471, Date of registration 01/03/1988 History file, mots back to 2003, invoices going back to 1994. Shows mileage,  35.973. Hpi clear, slight mot discrepancy, mot station mistake, on the fail 2016, April  13th,should start with a 6, as the pass shows on April 15th 2016 7 former keepers, owned by myself for 5 years, Original colour was light blue, has had colour change to rover blue metallic, Bulkhead was replaced with later type, excellent condition, Original Chassis remains solid with new rear crossmember, near side  front chassis rail, and outrigger needs minimal amount of repair,  then a good waxoyl should last a good few more years, or go  for the ultimate rebuild, and have something special. Engine starts straight up with no hesitation, runs nicely, serviced regularly,  oils and fuel filters, Lt85 gearbox 5 speed, performs perfectly, very good clutch, Original axles, drive train in vgc, 4 wheel drive works ok, Power steering, New radiator, water pump, viscous fan assembly ,new alternator,  £350, 50/50 antifreeze, New sports exhaust and manifolds, £750 Original new old stock bull/nudge bar, 5 Sawtooth wheels with excellent  tyres, Sunroof, no leaks, All the electrics work, lights ,gauges, dashboard is very good condition,  heater all works Body wise in vgc, slight scrape near side, car caught it in car park Interior could do with replacing, or upgrading, head liner has sagged over time The land hasn’t been driven on the road for a couple of years, Has been Started and driven regularly around the garden, The Land Rover will need recommissioning, Brakes are binding but still work, I have new discs and pads that need fitting, the brake callipers  will need replacing, Rear drum shoes will need work also, I have a new spring set and new gaz shocks to be fitted, Have the original filter box and pipes to go with it, You could turn this into a heritage or better still a camel trophy,  or put back to original, I have tried to give a fair and honest description, The Land Rover will have to be trailered away as it has no current mot, Only bid to buy please, payment by bank transfer only, West Sussex,  Details - Price - Additional photos
