Sellers Comments - Land Rover Defender 110 TD5 Off Grid Go Anywhere Camper One Off,we call him JAWS
This defender has had numerous hours of love and labour put into this very individual conversion that's really had no expenses spared, we started with a very standard white station wagon, Ex Council so not seen really hard work, the last mot's show around 500 miles per year for the last 6 or 7 years, so a good base vehicle, also an early TD5 which is by far the best and to some people out there, the only defender to customise.
so we had him painted in a fresh coat of raptor, very hard wearing paint, finished in grey with a black roof and bonnet, we then added the Masai panoramic windows which made a huge difference to how the big boy looked, we then attacked the interior with veltrim which looks nice but also insulates the truck, we then made our unit and scribed the long wheel arch covers and fitted them with lengths of vhoringer ply supplied by a very ethical source, Morland furniture company in wales, we then added the Smev 2 burner hob and sink, popped a bench seat opposite so its ideal for a cuppa or breakfast if the weathers not ideal for a little alfresco cooking. We have then fitted out the floor with hard wearing deck boards.
The cab area has also been re-fitted with diamond stitched Bentley style bucket seats, momo steering wheel and Bentley style stitched sun visors and a new sound system that's a bit more up to date.
Still to come Solar panel, leisure battery and inverter to give you the extra freedom to be off grid for long periods of time, the yellow DeWalt box in the rear is an ice box which has a really long ice time to keep your food nice a cool and won't zap your power supply, its also ideal for fishing and storing your catch.

This Defender really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. It has covered a warranted 8,500 miles from new and has been kept in a very upmarket heated, glass fronted garage and used only very occasionally. It can only be described as in showroom condition, they just do not come any better! It has a " full" Land Rover dealer service history which is as follows; 08/07/15 at 6 miles, 03/08/2016 at 4,121 miles, 12/06/2018 at 7,273 miles and 19/06/2019 at 7,506 miles !! It looks like brand new and drives like brand new, it is "simply the best" !! Not only does it have the advantage of being automatic but it has had the whole chassis replaced with a steel Land Rover chassis! Needless to say the chassis, bulkhead and rear cross member are all absolutely A1. The bodywork is very straight and presentable and the interior is clean and tidy. It starts with ease and drives beautifully with no issues. The 4 speed automatic gear box provides a lovely lazy drive and operates smoothly. It has 2 rear seats and is fitted with 2 rear sliding windows giving it a nice airy feel. It comes with a full 12 months mot and is ready to jump in and drive away.
