Land Rover Defender Series 2a 1971 Fully Restored Green 4x4 Classic Car

For sale is my superb and very comprehensive rebuild of a very smart Series 2A SWB 88”, in popular deep bronze green. This particular vehicle was one of the very last series 2A models to roll off the production line in August 1971.
This rebuild was carried out by a hobbyist in retirement . The chassis, engine and parts were delivered to him in the back of a Transit van and the total rebuild was completed in no less than 5 years, there was not a nut or bolt that remained untouched. It is mostly built to the original specification with a vast majority of original parts used or new parts sourced where required. Photographs of the progression of the rebuild were taken at various times, demonstrating the level of quality adhered to.
The vehicle is in immaculate condition and drives very well. The vehicle has always been dry stored upto a couple of months ago, and has travelled very few dry miles since the rebuild was completed in Feb 2019. Tax and MOT exempt . I have done about 200 miles in this vehicle in the last 6 months .

Land Rover Defender 90 1992 200tdi Soft Top Rebuilt on Galvanised chassis
Sellers Comments - For sale is my very Land Rover Defender 200tdi soft top that has been rebuilt on a galvanised chassis a few years ago. Having that all important galvanised chassis does away with any future maintenance issues that Land Rover owners are only too aware of.
MOT is until 24th August 2021 so a good 8 months.
Has had a mere 3 mot's since its rebuild completed mid 2018 so really has done very little. Saying that it has been in use daily but only on road. Some of the recent parts include new tyres all round, wheels, shocks, springs, brakes, inter cooler, radiator plus many more.
Being a soft top this is simply great in the summer plus it is still usable in the winter. The heater actually does keep it warm enough in the cab area.
The sticks are the heavy duty type that will be a lot more safe than the cheap thin ones. Hood is in excellent condition and was new in 2018.
Bodywork is excellent and very unusually straight throughout. Paint is finished in a raptor style super hard wearing finish. Will stay looking good for many years to come.
Bulkhead is one of the best i have seen. I would assume this was changed in 2018 at rebuild. To the front is a bull bar with a snorkel fitted and in my opinion looks the part. To the rear is a swing away carrier. All tyres are recent on very presentable boost alloys.
Inside is a nice place to be. It has 3 front seats all with belts. Present is the very expensive Exmoor trim moulded matting that covers the seat box plus the footwell area. These are about £450 and was a recent addition.
To the rear i have fitted 2 forward facing lock and fold seats with brand new proper inertia seatbelts mounted to the heavy duty frame. Result is you would happily put your kids in the back in safety whilst folding them out of the way to free up load area. Never fitted these before, usually put in bench seats but these really do make it a practical 5 seater vehicle.
On the road it drives as well as it should with crisp braking and smooth gear changing throughout. Pulls well and sits straight on the road with no wandering whatsoever.
I am selling this as i bought it as a stop gap whilst my td5 is getting resprayed. Will probably regret selling this as we all know how reliable the 200tdi is. I am free for any test drive or inspection but of course within covid regulations.

Hello and welcome to our advert. Marrion 4x4 ltd are pleased to be offering for sale this rather sort after land rover defender.
This land Rover Defender 90 'Tomb Raider' edition is a rare and well equipped land rover limited to only 250 vehicles. This coupled to its originality make this a rare and sort after model. Its a 2001 2.5-litre TD5 diesel engine. The millage of the vehicle is 182000 and has some service history all from land rover specialists or main dealers. It has only 2 former keepers which were both the same family. A true family of land rover lovers like our selves.
The condition of the vehicle is very good for its age and still holds all of its original features including the original seats and extremely rare badges and roof rack. The drivers seat is showing signs of ware. The chassis is in excellent condition with only 2 small patches on the front bulkhead out riggers. Both the front doors are also in excellent condition which is a rare thing for land rover defenders of any age.
The vehicle has been serviced by our selves and will come with a full 12 months MOT which will be carried out independently when a deposit is taken.

Landrover defender 110 galvanised chasis 300tdi Solid truck , ready to go all the hard works done!
Sellers Comments - 1989 Landrover 110, galvy chasis , 300tdi engine with the usual boost pin and fuel pump modifications, drives well just passed its mot last week as it was away for dry storage for 18 months as it wasn’t needed, only needed lights re done and a brake pipe to pass, everything underneath is like new, 4 like new bc Goodrich tyres all round, terrafirma lift kit, gun storage in the back professionally done, it’s a real nice one. A couple bad points worth mentioning are The drive shaft seal on the front left wheel is starting to leak and the doors are showing signs of rust but I have two second hand doors I’ll include in the sale that are like new

Land Rover defender 90
Converted from 200tdi to the improved 300tdi. Bought as a running project from someone who had lost interest and all work has now been completed and is ready to go.
It runs and drives as well as a Defender can, Gearbox is smooth and no clunks from transfer box ( it has been rebuilt!).
300tdi pulls really well and has been my daily driver covering 100 miles a day easily and now soundproofed its nice and quiet-ish.
Heaters are both excellent, the additional one between the seats is great!
Chassis is excellent and has had new seat box installed along with a patch on the RH bulkhead outrigger.
