I've had the vehicle for just over a year and had great plans for it but I've now started my own business and need the money to buy a van. 

Before I bought is i had it looked at by mechanic friend of mine who advised me that it was mechanically sound throughout, chassis and floor is solid. There are a few bumps dents and scratches here and there but all superficial, in places there is some rust on bodywork but again all superficial  within the last few years it has had new brake discs, brake pads, shock absorbers and springs, exhaust pipe )all the way through), alternator, Momo steering wheel. It also had been fitted with updated LED lights front and rear.

Since I've owned the car i have had it fitted with Dynamat Soundproofing throughout, carpeted the rear space and rear seats fitted,This has made the car much nicer to drive, vastly reducing the engine and road noise. Dynamat is the best soundproofing product on the market. This has made a big difference, it makes it a lot more civilized to drive. It has been recently serviced new oil and oil filter, air-filter etc.

It’s a 2006 56 reg ( almost an 07) td5 Defender 130 3500kgs chassis

125,000 miles approx ( will go up slightly ) 

New mot until 12th June 2020 no advisories 

Starts runs and drives superb, great on fuel! 2 keys 2 Fobs 

Ex power company so has split charge system, Ramsey heavy duty electric winch, heated screen, heated seats, central locking, electric windows, CD player etc 

Converted by us this year as a prototype to see what we could achieve with this new fused honeycomb composite panel 

This stuff is amazing, extremely light, extremely strong and fully uv and water resistant.. the body is a brand new build, not some chopped about ex ambulance etc and is built entirely from this new type of panel, fully plastic welded and the capped with aluminium where necessary for enhanced looks and durability.. 

We’ve recently completed a 1000mile round trip to Bad Kissingen in Germany to the abenturer allrad show without fault, never skipped a beat, cruises comfortably at 70mph and is extremely good on fuel, thanks to the newly reconditioned transfer box from Ashcroft transmissions with the new 1:3 gear ratios in. It’s quiet, smooth and extremely capable both on and off road...

The vehicle was heavily restored prior to building the new body, including full rear section of the chassis cleaned and re-painted with upol raptor.. new brakes ( discs, callipers, pads, brake lines the lot ) rear differential overhauled by Ashcroft at the same time as the transfer box, new front swivels, all new oils, and filters, new wheels and tyres x5 with cooper discover stt pro tyres, new interior, new paint, etc etc 

chassis never welded and doesn’t need to be, Doors are immaculate as are all body panels, it’s a very clean nice example, underside is almost as new 

The vehicle has cost over £35,000 to get to this stage, with a one of a kind custom interior, which contains a large seating, dining area, inside walk in shower cubicle, portaloo type toilet, kitchen, and full king sized bed. Plus heaps of storage and the all important pass through to the drivers cabin.

The unique roof design allows full head height throughout the vehicle when elevate and a nice compact vehicle for traveling when closed, with the benefits of added security, and transportability as well, it’s been designed to fit inside a standard 20ft shipping container.

We’ve decided to sell it as we need to develop new products and work on existing ones, since this has been advertised we've received 4 new orders for this type of conversion, and are speaking to new customers daily about their over-landing requirements.

The door raises manually at current via a neat little hydraulic system, but can be modified to electric if required for an additional fee.

The vehicle does still need it’s hot water and heating system fitting and plumbing in, ( a new webasto diesel heater will be supplied with the vehicle, the spare wheel needs mounting, and the 12v split charge system needs wiring in, this can be done by us for an additional fee if required but just to be clear this work is not currently completed

I was going to keep hold of this iconic Land Rover to convert it into a mobile stone baked pizza oven, for festival and food markets. However after having a new baby it’s just standing and being taken out for the occasional drive. I had also toyed with the idea of mounting a land rover roof tent on the back body.

Reluctant sale as I will miss this truck.

1995 Defender , not MOD but used to belong to a utilities company. It was hand painted /rollers approx 4 years ago.. hence it looks tired now.

The good points are

Starts first time, hasn't broken down in the four years I've owned it, Bulkhead looks good,  Rear X-member renewed 4 years ago, Hydraulic superwinch which works and can be operated from inside the cab or via control levers on front left hand wing, MOT'd until May 20, brand new front Brake callipers, discs and pads fitted 2 months ago. Brownchurch roof rack, led light bar, CB fitted, Stereo, reversing camera, strong padlock hasp on rear door for extra security, rear flashing amber led's, 

Extended wing mirror arms air horn, 

Bad points, drivers footwell will need repair and will also need a cam belt change.bottom of doors have usual rust , door hinges could do with renewing.

Be sad to see it go if it sells, but just do not have the time. Will add picture of wheels and tyres later as they are not kept at the house..

2003 Land Rover Defender 110 CSW XS TD5 (Overland Prepared)

Sellers Comments - Stunning professionally built '53 plate 110 CSW XS with only 99k miles. Originally built by Nene Overland and later refurbished and updated by Alpine Restoration in late 2017 at great expense. It also had significant work carried out by a Land Rover specialist in 2018 including new genuine Garrett turbocharger and full front suspension rebuild including teflon swivels.

Work carried out by Alpine Restoration included;

This truck really is a fantastic drive, it can cruise a speeds not normal for a Defender and is so quiet and comfortable doing so, you can easily cover long distances in a day without issue.

Although this is a fantastically spec'd and extremely well maintained and cared for truck, it was built for purpose and certainly in the last 3 years has been used for 4 Overland trips around Europe.

There probably is the occasional light scratch from overhanging bushes that the detailer won't be able to remove and there is a small crack and scratch on the RHR wheel arch (been quoted £150 to repair) but for it's age it really is lovely truck, very presentable and is prepared for many many trips to come. In fact i'd happily drive it down Africa tomorrow given the opportunity.
