Defender 90 300tdi 1999 Last of the 300tdi.

Here is my defender 90 300tdi 1999. County spec with factory extras of colour coded roof, arches and alloy wheels. Anyone who knows these vehicles will be the first to buy!! An unmolested going up in value 300tdi which is in excellent condition for its age. I have a lot of paperwork and recipts with the defender to back up what has been fitted over the years. I have owned the defender for a short time having ideas of doing all the things you should with one of these!! Unfortunately work and other commitments say otherwise (hence reason for sale). I am under no silly allusions as to the value of the defender so im telling all the silly time wasting idiots that frequent ebay not to bother getting in touch as im not interested in selling it for nowt!! (HOPE YOU GET THE PICTURE). That said, I shall continue. I have done very little to her since I bought her apart from changing the seized door locks, obviously all three locks were fitted to the doors with spare keys. I have only used her for weekend trips down to Clumber park and rufford with my daughters who love travelling in her, and round and about locally. I have not used her for towing or any off roading at all as my intentions were to tidy the small areas on the bodywork up and use her for shows. There is no evidence that she has ever been abused on or off road otherwise I wouldn't have bought her. The chassis has had a rear crossmember fitted prior to my purchace and looks to have been done professionally. The main areas that need work are as follows Rear tub requires paint and repairs. Rear o/s/wing requires small repair from a nudge by someone who failed to stop at a roundabout behind me. ( nothing drastic see pictures please). Also the lacquer is peeling off the roof and was the same when I bought her. It also requires the three doors to make perfect. In my opinion all easy rectified jobs that can be done on a weekend or as and when you can. None of the jobs inhibit the defender in any way shape or form an she can be used as is and very much enjoyed. The engine smokes a little on start up as most do but clears when warmed up. I haven't even had time to service her this year but may do before end of auction time permitting. I probably haven't painted the best picture of her but its better to let you know what to expect. Overall a well worth unmolested defender worthy of a few little jobs that will make her probably the best original one out there! Im not a trader but I do restore classic and vintage vehicles in my spare time so I know what im looking and talking about. Hope I have included everything,

Land Rover Series 1 -1957

Land Rover series 1 1957 swb. Great Land Rover, starts and drives well with a few jobs left to finish off. 2 litre petrol engine. Lots of new parts. Good chassis and bulkhead. Series 2 axels. £7,500 ono Cash on collection.

Land Rover Series 3

Up for sale is my Series 3 Land Rover. I parked her up about 12 months ago and until today she hadn't moved since, so obviously there is no MOT/Tax. I bought the vehicle in January 2013, and had a fun couple of years doing some green laning until parking it up. I've too many vehicles and not enough time hence the sale, but I won't be giving it away and if it doesn't sell it will go back into storage until I find some time. After connecting up the battery she fired straight up and runs beautifully, the 2.25 petrol is like a sewing machine. The first 5 photos are as she came out the garage, the others are from last year showing the canvas hood and truck cab. * 5 bearing 2.25 petrol engine (original). * Almost new Cooper STT mud tyres (£600 done 300ish miles). * New Weber carb last year. * Electronic ignition distributer conversion. * Fairey Overdrive. * Nearly new bikini canvas with proper seat belt bar. (Truck cab for winter). * Bosch S4 battery new last year. * Raptor dash (partially fitted). * Kenlowe electric fan on dash switch. When I parked it up it ran perfectly, all the gears and the overdrive operate smoothly with no crunching. Brakes were good and stopped the vehicle really well. The chassis was really solid, it had a plate on the rear crossmember for the last MOT and that's it. When I bought the vehicle the tub braces were rotton so I replaced these and gave the top of the chassis a coat of por15. The bulkhead top corners are a bit rusty, I cut out the worst side and the new piece is just bolted on at the moment so needs welding in properly. The other side isn't too bad but will need doing eventually. These old Landys are so simple I don't think it will need much to go through an MOT, just needs a bit of time spending on it.

1967 Land Rover Series 2a 88" SWB Diesel, Tax Exempt, Overdrive Gearbox

Welcome to my auction for my old Land Rover SWB Diesel with and Overdrive Gearbox and Freewheel hubs. A very desirable specification series Land Rover that is awaiting restoration or refurbishment. I purchased the car a couple of years ago with all good intentions to restore it but, alas, life gets in the way and I have decided to spend my time restoring my 1967 Land Rover Dormobile instead. The vehicle has never run in my ownership but it was believed to be functioning when it was parked up. The overdrive gearbox is complete and fitted, which will certainly help keep the old girl a bit more relaxed when cruising the lanes. The freewheel hubs are fitted and rotate as they should. A truck cab is enhanced with the addition of a very agricultural home made truck bed cover. It may not be a pretty accessory but your Collie will not escape and, should a nuclear war break out, you could use it as a blast shelter! The chassis is pretty good and may only need localised repairs. The car is fairly complete but does have a series three 2 1/4 petrol bulkhead, dash and wings fitted. The bulkhead needs repairs in the usual places but is not a lost cause. The wiring loom will need work as it has been cut during replacement. The bulkhead and wings are just loosely assembled and will need securing before transport. I have not bolted it all on as the lucky new owner may well decide to source the correct series 2a bulkhead and front panels. The V5c is in my name, is present with the Land Rover and shows the Historic Vehicle taxation class. Basically, I consider this to be a sound basis for a restoration project and, whilst it is not roadworthy at present, it will make a fantastic and desirable classic Land Rover when it is completed. I had contemplated stripping it to sell the overdrive box, freewheel hubs and truck cab separately from the vehicle as it would undoubtedly make more money that way. However, I think this lovely old Land Rover deserves better than being scattered all over the country and you have ten months to get her back on the road for her 50th birthday!
