Land Rover series 3 109 lwb restored rebuild 12M MOT petrol

Sellers Comments - This land rover has been extensively restored! I have done a full chassis up rebuild, with over 250 photos to prove it. When I brought it the rear chassis was rotten, so I custom fabricated a new one, including, cross member, legs, spring mounts out of 3mm steel. The chassis also had to new out riggers also made from 3mm steel. The rest of the chassis has been blind patched the whole way round. This land rover will not need welding for the next 15 years! It has also had 2 thick coats of under seal. The rear axle was removed and springs taken off, new bushed where fitted and the axle cleaned and under sealed. Whilst the body was off I made new fuel tank mounts, refurbished the fuel tank, with a new sender, a paint, new filler neck and fuel pipe. The next work I carried out was to replace the brake system, I fitted a full set of new brake pipes, a master cylinder rear brake shoes and a drivers side rear cylinder. I also made an fitted a complete new wiring loom that I made from heavy duty truck trailer cable. I then remounted the body using stainless steel bolts and any repair that where it was needed where carried out. The door and bonnet where fitted. After they where dry fitted I removed them to spray the whole vehicle. The vehicle had 3 coats of base and 2 coats of clear. This is a land rover so I left some of the small dents in, because I didn’t want to over restore it. Once the paint had a week to harden, I then fitted new door hinges, new door mirrors and a full set of anti burst locks and keys! (bloody expensive). The next job was to fit new side/ind/brake/fog lights, plastic head light buckets and new headlights. After I sorted the electronics I then fitted new seats from a vw people carrier much more comfortable! And 3 point seat belts from a polo for safety. From this I then spent time cleaning the cab up, fitting new gators, grommets and washer jets. The last job was to service the engine, witch had new plugs, oil, filters and a petrol system clean. There has been new expense spared on this truck! There are only a few little things, It could do with a new grill as the old one has a small hole in, never bother me though, think it gives it some character and the hazard switch just broke, if I get time I will fix it.] 12 months mot List of new parts; Number plates, head lights, head light bowls, indicator, side, brake, fog lights, new wiring, inner mud shields, master cylinder, copper brake pipes, plugs, filers, oil, bonnet hinges rubbers, middle exhaust and silencer, rear exhaust mount, 3x new anti burst door locks and matching keys, indicator stalk, seats, fog light switch, seat belts, gators, washer jets, wipers, glazing kits both doors, door hinges, fuel tank sender, fuel pipe, filler pipe, rear brake shoes, brake cylinders, stainless bolt kit, wing fixing kit, door mirrors, rear spring bushes, washer tubing, paint (costing over £300), heater tube, wheel mounting

1979 LAND ROVER 109" - 4 CYL BLUE Series 3.

Sellers Comments - The good: Runs and drives, selects all gears, transfer-box works as it should. Starts easily. Bulkhead is good, with minor work needed in the foot wells as usual. Body is very straight, with just one small area of damage on the o/s rear wing. Passenger door is in OK condition and has some corrosion (easy repair) Drivers door is in great condition. The bad: The chassis needs attention, the front and mid-section of the chassis is very bad. The fuel tank leaks. All in all a great project vehicle for someone. The low mileage on the speedometer suggests an actual mileage of 101551 miles, which is an average of 2744 miles a year, so very low mileage!

1983 LAND ROVER - 110 - V8

Sellers Comments - Landrover 110 (very late) V8. Very original with lots of receipts for work done. This truck has been loved in its time but ultimately the chassis has rusted and it has been sat in the corner of my garden for a few years. The engine turns over by hand and started last time I tried about a year ago (Battery now removed). The vehicle has sump guard, sill protectors, bull bar, side exit exhaust, 3rd seat and has had work done on the V8 (although I am struggling to find the receipts for this) including cams and tuning. I kept it in the hope of bringing it back to life but I have too many projects so it has to go. Not much rust on the body, just the windscreen surround by the looks of it. Vehicle is in Truro, Cornwall and the buyer is responsible for collection. You will need a trailer. I have the V5. MOT fail report says: Reason(s) for failure Centre Exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gases (7.1.2) Centre Exhaust system not adequately supported (7.1.1) Front Fuel system component leaking (7.2.3) Offside Front Front position lamp(s) not working (1.1.A.3b) Offside Front Headlamp aim too high (1.8) Rear Registration plate lamp not working (1.1.C.1d) Nearside Outer Front Brake pipe inadequately clipped (3.6.B.1) Parking brake lever has no reserve travel (3.1.6b) Offside Inner Front Brake pad(s) less than 1.5 mm thick (3.5.1g) Nearside Rear Vehicle structure has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2) Offside Rear Vehicle structure has an unsatisfactory modification, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2) Centre Vehicle structure has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2)

Sellers Comments - Hi up fore sale is my landrover series 3 200 tdi with overdrive, 1 years MOT, 10 months tax, also tax free. This is my daily driver, I done 320 mile trip in it and it never missed a beat, and averaged over 30 MPG, Please see photos I have a lot of old mots and history receipts, I totalled them up and in the last few years it comes to £3900 spent on the landy, One receipt was for £1249.33,which was to fit the 200 tdi plus, new clutch, new timming belt, plus other things, I will list just a few other things that I have receipts for but not all as I will be here all night, new fuel tank, replace all brakes, new battery, alternator belt, full service, heater plugs, new shockers, new steering bars track rod ends, new alternator, Five new wheels, four new goodyear tyres, other type new tyre for spare, total cost over £600, the list goes on and on, I have all the paper work in my name, two sets of keys, all the locks work fine it drives really well for a landrover of this age, its only for sale as I always wanted one but its just to agricultural for me, now the not so good things, its bean hand painted a few times and to be honest its shit it looks better in the pics, but still ok for a old landy, there are some dings and scratches age related again its a old landy the speedo doesn't work, but the fuel and temp work fine, the heater matrix has bean bypassed but it only needs a little bit of solder to stop the very small weep easy fix, it has the normal landy oil leak for the transmission as they all do, the bulkhead has bean welder in the past, the chassis has only had small bit of welding, the rear cross member has got a few bit of welding on it but its still all strong, there's lots of years left in this old girl, they go for ever, and you can get parts for theses any were cheap, to some it up, a very good cheap to insure landy good mpg looks ok for its age.

LAND ROVER SERIES 1 - 80" - 1951

Sellers Comments - This sorry looking Landy has been languishing in a wood for the past 25 years I am selling it due to the fact that it is well beyond my skills to try and restore her The registration I believe to be HVJ 534 which is a Herefordshire registration I have also obtained a VE16 vehicle file card with the registration HVJ 534 from Herefordshire Record Office dated 3 March 1975 This record shows that the registration documents were sent to the Central Licence Repository in Llandau With the information I have found, and with the help of the Land Rover Series One club you would be able to claim the original registration number Please examine the pictures to ascertain the overall condition. Better still please feel free to come and have a look in person One of the remaining portions of the chassis shows the serial number being 16102210 Gearbox number is 16105630 I have obtained a Heritage Certificate which shows a build date of 5th March 1951 The original 1600cc petrol engine is long gone but the Landy was found with a 1953 2000cc engine. Number 36106843
