Land Rover 90 - 1988

Sellers Comments - For sale is my beloved Land Rover 90 1988 2.5TD 19j Engine. Unmodifed. MOT'd until 7th January 2017. Recently had a new water pump and fan/alternator belt. Mileage is 193,697 but will rise as still in use. Inside has yet to be finished. I have carpeted the majority of it but i still haven't made a new inside panel for the back door. Faults : Fuel Gauge isn't work, but i will provide a full tank to the winning bidder. Start up is a little slow, but he does run well when he's going, Rear Exhaust Mount has dropped slightly so the exhaust rattles against the chassis, Steering Box could do with changing as it sqweels at low speed turning. The CB isn't connected up yet, and the cigarette lights hasn't been installed, and the rear door barrel hasn't been changed but all of these are provided for the new owner. Also, the radio works but it won't hold preset channels so the wires to the back may need swapping. I have been as truthful and honest as i can about the landy. I just want him to go to a good home and to someone who can finish off those few last little bits. I have put a reasonable reserve on him. I will accept sensible offers but no silly one please. Land Rover Defender 90 300TDI.

I have owned this since March 2014, it has been utterly reliable & a lot of fun, but its time to move on!

It has covered 145,000 miles, the engine is sound & burns no oil. Its due a change, but I will include the oil & filter ( didn't get around to changing it ).

It is MOT'd until Nov 2016, it passed with no advisories! I also have quite a large file with loads of receipts, old MOT's etc

1952 Gendarmerie Police Series One 80 Classic Land Rover Barn Find Restoration Ex-Belgium Police Land Rover -Collectors Item Rare Find

Sellers Comments - For sale: land rover series 1 80 inch LHD One of the batch 2663-vehicles that was sent to belgium as CKD-vehicles. Used by the belgian police/gendarmerie. This would make a great restoration project. A very Rare find and one for the true collector Details : 5 wheels dated '51, so an early 1952 model. Every bodypanel has traces of the original dark blue paint, although it got painted over with some kind of green paint, would be possible to remove the green paint and keep the patinated blue layer. The condition of the panels is reasonable, although the left front wing has got a dent that was masked a bit with bodyfiller. Some details as u can see in the pictures are typical for the gendarmerie vehicles, so is the heavy duty canvas frame with four brackets so the policemen in the back had something to hold on. A first aid kit and holder, a search light hole underneath front windscreen, some remainings of drop down number plate bracket, two little flag brackets at windscreen hinges, and so on. The bulkhead isnt in the best shape, some optional non original holes where cut through for extra gauges, buttons and big hole for an old aftermarket heater that i removed. A very skilled welder could maybe get it refurbished. The rear crossmember is a non original one (could be replaced with a Radfords rear crossmember), and the front bumper is welded onto the chassis, so this would need a minor repair. As u can see the steering wheel isnt original, but an original one is supplied with the vehicle. It has correct paperwork for a 6/7 seater, so the rear seats can be used, it is not a commercial two seater. Under the bonnet it has a Peugeot Indenor diesel, connected to the original series 1 gearbox. The engine is loose, u can turn it over by hand, although condition is unknown and not working atm as the electrics need many work to be done. Vehicle is located near ypres in Belgium, which is about 1h15 from calais. Payment cash on collection

1952 Land Rover Series 1 80"

Sellers Comments - Into - Advertising on behalf of a very good friend: Here is our much-loved Series 1 80 inch. It is a late 80 with the 2 litre engine, external door handles and T-shaped grill. As you can see it has a lovely patina and is full of character having never been restored or drastically modified.

It is up and running, being largely original and over 60 years old it has a few jobs which would improve it but I have been using it daily with no problems. Chief problem is a new one - the radiator has sprung a leak - it is the original and would be good to be recored.

Built in July 1952 it has had just three owners from new. Supplied through Windmill & Lewis of Bristol, the first owner was a Desmond Hawkins who worked for the BBC and was one of the founders of the Natural History Unit. In 1957 she passed to a Mr Unwin who ran a couple of caravan parks in the Kewstoke area. Here the Land Rover worked as a site vehicle until the mid 1970s when it was parked up.

Land Rover Series III 3 Lightweight

Sellers Comments - Intro- Land Rover Lightweight Series 3. This has been fitted with a Rover V8 engine. It has been kitted for off roading / trialing with roll cage, custom fuel tank in rear, rev counter, mud tyres etc. It looks in reasonably good condition. Its last mot expired April 2008. (https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/). Made in 1977 it should be eligible for free road tax sometime next year. It has stood a while and it currently wont start, I think it should be a reasonably easy fix but not sure so selling as non runner. Its seems to be an electrical issue as no power to anything. The clutch will also need repaired as there is no pressure in it, it just goes straight to the floor.

Sellers Comments - My series 1 ,for sale as I have one to many and not a lot of spare time, I purchased this one last Feb from a gentleman in Hereford and promptly drove it home to Southampton despite the gentlemen's reservations ,it got me home ,great fun but a little scary on the motorways as these are no racing cars. Whilst driving newly acquired vehicles I like to see what it is I have actually brought ,I needed to do a little fettling but in general it was a good purchase ,I set about making some changes , brake reline, stainless exhaust , replace shocks, new seats, new wheels and tyres ,when I registered this in my name I put the colour down as green as that is what I wanted to make it however I haven't got that far as yet, there is evidence that this was probably a fire tender when it was born evident with all the red under the blue, a good solid chassis ,straight panels on parabolic springs with a 2.25 petrol engine this is allround fun motoring a great appreciating classic, tax and mot exempt. no paypal on this purchase please, delivery can be arranged ,please ask for costs. will consider reasonable offers.
