The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.

For Sale £4250 - Land Rover Series 3 2.25 diesel new MOT, gorgeous, 1000's spent, must see!!
Sellers Comments
Land Rover Series 3,
2.25 diesel, 1977, 88500miles, 12 months MOT
Firstly I am
advertising this on behalf of a friend so any questions there may be a slight
delay in response.
Not quite sure where
to start on this one other than you are looking at an absolutely gorgeous
series 3 land rover.
This vehicle is in
exceptional condition for its age, the chassis as you can see from the pictures
is solid with no corrosion and can even be waxoiled (protected) should you want
this however it currently is bare and welcomes inspection.
This series has
recently passed its MOT and along with 1000's of pounds worth of receipts comes
with a new master cylinder, brake cylinders, shoes, brake flexis, leaf spring
bushes and a new battery.
As you can see from
the pictures the only issues are the lower sections of the doors, both are the
same and this really is the worst part other than the good old series brakes
having to pump the pedal a few times to stop.... Drives like a dream but it is
one of those vehicles you will either love or dislike, so viewings are welcome
and advised.
currently this series
is on weller steel wheels with 7.50 x 16 deestone tyres however there is
another set of wheels with the same size tyres however road tyres which are
included with the auction.
Dont miss this one
and as ive said, there arent many out there like this in this condition. its
not perfect but with some paintwork and a slight tinker here or there can be!!

1977 LAND ROVER Series 3 - Rolling Chassis - Very Good Condition
All bodywork, engine and gearbox now removed - you will be buying what you see in the first 8 pictures - a rolling chassis with axles, springs, wheels etc.
Location - Belper - Land Rover Series 1 - 1952 - 80 Inch
Sellers Notes:
This is a 1952 ex military Land Rover released from service in 1963 and has its original registration number.
It has a 200 TDI engine fitted which makes it very economical to drive around 40 MPG.
The rear axle has been converted to take the later fully floating half shafts which are much easier to replace.
Bulkhead and chassis have been repaired but if i was going to keep her i would replace them both
but there are a few years left in them yet.
The price i am asking is very little more than some projects have sold for recently
and this is a good opportunity to buy a vehicle at a reasonable price.
I have a 2litre spreadbore engine available by seperate negotiation to the winning bidder.
A £100 non returnable deposit must be paid within 24 hours.
Bank transfer or cash to be paid and collection within 7 days.
