The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This is a 1952 ex military Land Rover released from service in 1963 and has its original registration number.
It has a 200 TDI engine fitted which makes it very economical to drive around 40 MPG.
The rear axle has been converted to take the later fully floating half shafts which are much easier to replace.
Bulkhead and chassis have been repaired but if i was going to keep her i would replace them both
but there are a few years left in them yet.
