However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.

LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90, 200 TDI
Reluntantly selling my Defender due to new car purchase,needed something a little more refined (discovery).
The landy is in excellent condition underneath has had a replacement rear crossmember,recent front pads new exhaust is included with the car (currently running a straight throu)
4 as new insa turbo desert tracks on 6 month old modulars
there is a steering guard and diff guards fitted
Tree sliders/ rock sliders/swing away rear tyre carrier
4 roof spots and 2 grill spots all working plus rear work lights
Colour matching bucket seats and matching 4 rear side facing seats (drivers seat is showing signs of wear)
There is a 200 tdi NON egr engine fitted with a uprated Garrett turbo fitted,MUCH IMPROVED performance
new heavy duty battery just fitted for winter
MOT expires may 2014 tax expires this month(nov)
Only advisory on the mot was for the front brake pads
There is a small spot of rust on the corner of the bulkhead under the windowscreen,which has been treated and sprayed over but if your picky needs matching paint/tidying up a bit
Drivers door is not the best the frame is quite bad but i have the bottom replacement piece ,and some new hinges
landy has never been offroad by me only mild green lanes on 2 occasions
All 4 wheel high low /diff lock works as it should

The V5, the TAX disc and MOT certificate are all with the vehicle.
This is a very dark green and almost matt paint colour all over. It has black chequer plate, The front bumper and rear cross member are painted the same green as the rest of the 90. It has a fully piped up snorkel. Aftermarket crystal type headlights. A sun roof. It is fitted with an alarm and central locking on the front doors and comes with 2 sets of keys and 2 key fobs. It has a de-cat front pipe and the rest of the exhaust is straight through but it does seem to make it more economical and a little quicker too. The chassis is solid with only surface corrosion in places. It has a set of 5 black painted, 16 inch, deep offset 8 spoke Weller wheels with 5 deep tread 265 75 16 Avon Ranger tyres fitted. The spare is on a swinging type carrier on the back door. All of the steering ball joints have been renewed and new front brake pads fitted. It has heavy duty Britpart springs fitted all round. It is very stable on the road and excellent off road. It drives in a straight line, It stops in a straight line and corners really nicely. It is also very, very quick. It doesn't seem to use any oil or water. All the filters were changed prior to the current MOT. All the transmission oils were changed just before I purchased it last year. It has had new front and rear crank oil seals and a new, full timing belt kit fitted. All the gears work as does the diff lock, engaging and disengaging correctly. The heater works as do all of the lights and horn. There are security mesh panels fitted to the rear windows. The steering wheel is a 14 inch Mountney 3 spoke and its really nice to use compared to the standard, wide bus type steering wheel. The inside is nicely lined in black leatherette with some netting storage pouches on the side panels and the back door. The rear is black carpeted with a large embroidered Land Rover badge between the speakers. The roof lining is black, The sun visors are black, the front doors cards are black and trimmed with some land rover printed cloth as are the rear folding bench seats. The front seats have water proof covers fitted. There is a board that fits on some side rails in the back to make the floor area flat for the full width of the 90. The board is black carpeted and it has a large embroidered Land rover badge also. I used the board as a bed with storage underneath for camping gear and tools. It also seems to make it more handy for loading and carrying so that's the way it still is but the bench seats and seat belts will bolt straight back in if you want it that way.

Please bear in mind that this is a 1997 vehicle and as such is quite old, it is used and has no warranty with it whatsoever, so I advise viewing before you bid so you can give the 90 a good going over and a test drive.
