1979 Land Rover Series lll(3) SWB 88”
affectionately known in the Shropshire
area as “Myrtle”
I have owned this vehicle for a number of
years, acquired running and was going to use for a log delivery business which
was put on hold with the birth of my son. Sadly Myrtle has been parked up due
to little ones commitments so best in the hands of another Landy enthusiast
looking for a classic Land Rover.
Fitted with a Ford Transit diesel engine
she has good pulling power. Original in LR green which can be seen in the
engine bay picture until her body was brush painted. I have not tried to start
her for a while as battery needs replacing but with a few pre start
tinkers I’m sure she’ll fire up and run.
