ON A MISSION TO ZERO EMISSIONS: LAND ROVER COMMENCES TRIALS OF HYDROGEN FUEL CELL TECHNOLOGY Jaguar Land Rover is celebrating an important milestone in our journey to achieve zero tailpipe emissions by 2036 and net zero carbon emissions by 2039, with the development of our first hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) prototype. Based on the Land Rover Defender, a team of 53 engineers are working with world‑class research partners to develop a model designed to meet attributes desired by our customers, including long range, quick refill time, advanced towing and off‑road capabilities and low temperature performance. A hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle has the potential to offer greater convenience for drivers by using on‑board hydrogen to generate electricity to power the electric motor, without having to connect to mains power supply. The prototype will begin testing in the UK towards the end of 2021. Land Rover Defender 110 Ex MOD 300TDI conversion with Penman trailer

Sellers Comments -Land Rover Defender 110 Soft top Ex MOD complete with Penman trailer This Land Rover spent a lot of its earlier life deployed overseas in a drier climate and as such, the bulkhead, chassis and doors are all in excellent condition. There are no rust issues at all that i can see. The body is very straight and tidy with minimal dents for a Land Rover of this age, although it does have the standard MOD paint job (i.e. slapped on thick). The interior is very much as you would expect from an Ex MOD Land Rover, the dash is tidy and retains the rotary light switch but there are no floor coverings or creature comforts. The front seats have been upgraded from the original square squabs to civvy spec Defender seats that have been retrimmed with exmoor trim vinyl. In the rear there are x4 2 man benches, making seating for 10. The hood is in overall good condition, although it is faded. Unfortunately, the rear window is split, it never bothered the previous owner because he always left it rolled up (after all, there's nothing in the back that minds getting wet). A new hood isn't particularly expensive from exmoor trim/all wheel trim. A new hood has now been fitted A year or so ago the vehicle was fitted with a 300 tdi conversion (originally was a 2.5NAD with LT77 gearbox), complete with the R380 gearbox, making this Land Rover much more useable. The engine was taken from a relatively low mileage discovery (approx 130,000) and it runs very well. The gearbox shifts well and there are no nasty noises from any of the drive train. The Penman trailer is in excellent condition, it clearly saw very little use, there are little to no marks from use on the tub, it is complete with the wooden lattice base and the tonneau cover. It has hydraulic disc brakes. A very useful combination and the 2 go very well together, both being Ex MOD. I may consider splitting the Land Rover and trailer but ideally would like to offer the trailer to the buyer of the Land Rover.

Sellers Comments - This is a top spec XS Defender that also has an extensive list of modifications. Has been serviced twice a year by myself. Genuine reason for the sale. This has been the best Land Rover/car I’ve owned and has taken me all over on many adventures. Roof tent and awning NOT included in sale, these are getting put straight on my new car so please don’t ask.. Mileage is 155000. 12 months MOT. XS spec includes heated seats, heated windscreen, central locking, alarm and immobiliser and air con which would require a condenser and re-gas to work. Modifications: Genuine LR roof rack with spotlights, Snorkel,Raised axle and transmission breathers, Britpart 12000lbs winch with synthetic rope and isolation switch , Steering guard, Front diff guard, Tree sliders, HD springs all round,Britpart supergaz dampers, Cranked trailing arms, 255/85/16 toyo mt tyres (these are 33” tall), Wheels spacers, CB radio, Roof Console, Bluetooth head unit, Amber flashing beacons front and rear, Split Charge system and leisure battery, Ifor Williams canopy with shelving, LED lights, USB and 12v sockets, Chequer plate wingtops and rear quarters, Td5 inside remap,EGR delete,Decat and centre muffler delete, Rear work lights, Fuel pump access hatch in boot floor, Probably more that I have forgotten. Bad bits: NS top of bulkhead is starting to rust (weld in panels will be provided), Drivers door bottom and B pillar rusty (B pillar repair panel will be provided), Clutch thrust bearing bearing is noisy only when cold, Paintwork is scratched from Green Lane use, All the standard Land Rover oil seepage you would expect, Wheels are a bit tatty. Please bear in mind this is a 16 year old Landy and is not a show pony but it has been looked after and only used for Green Laning. I have carried out lots of maintenance over my ownership, a test drive will confirm how nice this Defender drives and it’s without any death wobble and can happily sit at motorway speeds.

Sellers Comments -Refurbished 2008 defender engine, refurbished gearbox, new galvanised chassis the truck has been lifted every part on it is new as it’s had a full rebuild it has heated seats, heated front and back windscreen, full roof lining, upgraded dampers, new bulkhead, full new break kit rear and front, new clutch, has BT radio, waterproof speakers and subwoofer that is fitted under the centre console which has lifted it a few inches for comfort, The original paintwork has been restored!! Basically a brand new defender only done 3k miles since rebuild. I have pictures of the body of the truck off the new chassis being put on inside the engine abs gearbox and all the before and after pictures of the rebuild if you want to see any just get in touch, the pictures are on a beautiful en drive so will be given to the new owner
