Land Rover Series 2A Registered 13th Oct 1961 so is now classed as a historic vehicle. One owner from new! Considering this Land Rover is 55 years old it is still in a very good condition. Starts on the button and is still driving well. The chassis has been vigorously cleaned and checked. The rear of the chassis had been welded before years ago and didn't look too good, so it has been taken to a welder and he cut out the old repair and welded in a new improved section. This will be an ideal running restoration for an enthusiast. Someone with the time i don't have. This Land Rover is up for sale and I'd like to hear your offers. Remember this vehicle is 55 years old and still in great condition. With a bit of time spent on it I am sure it will be worth a lot of money.
Sellers Comments - Hi there, here for sale is my land rover series 1 88" 2 litre diesel, it is a very early diesel model and i bought her earlier this year to fully restore, it was originally bronze green but had a colour change in the 1980's, it is currently completely stripped down in my workshop but was carefully taken apart and stored,, the body panels are all in tidy condition and the rear tub is very straight too. Unfortunately the bulkhead is rotten and the chassis is very bad too,, i have rebuilt the rear axle with new bearings etc and is ready to paint, the front axle is the same. I have the new style log book and i'm the third keeper from new. Very original, came new as a factory hardtop and will make a super little land rover when done. All the parts are there, i just stripped it down so i could see what parts were needed, Please message with any questions, your welcome to come view if your serious about buying but no time wasters please, it is located near doncaster, south yorks,, only bid to buy and you'll need to contact me within 12hrs of the auction end. Cash on collection only please, please only bid to buy!! Not happy about selling as i'd love to finish it myself as its a lovely original example but unfortunately i'm no longer able to see it through :(

Sellers Comments Defender 130 300tdi, Runs and Drives really good. No longer needed. Front doors have been welded but rear doors have rust in frame in usual places. It has a slight rumble when you lift of the throttle at high speed, I had this checked at local landy specialist and found the rear prop has a small dent in it which has caused it to become unbalanced. I wanted to keep this to turn into an arctic style offroad truck but I have another car now so no longer use it. Has been serviced oils and filters done June this year.

Sellers Comments - Land rover series 2a 88” SWB truck cab, 2¼ diesel (1961) Tax exempt and can go in lez because of historic status. Great bulkhead and chassis. Has a series 3 bulkhead and dash and other bits. Mileage reads 7420 but doubt accurate. Generally the landy is in good order so think it’s pretty low mileage. Long Mot 26th august 2017 Parabolic springs Wolf wheels with BF Goodrich all terrain tyres with good tread. Rare Maltese cross metal grill. Reliable, not let me down. Engine pulls well and doesn’t use oil. Recently had oil service with new filters etc diff oil, propshafts greased etc. Various small dents and scratches as you would expect on an old land rover. Proof of comprehensive insurance if you want to test drive or I’ll take us out for a spin.
Sellers Comments - Landrover series 2a 1968/69..tax exempt.
I got this for a job i did so I know next to nothing about it apart from what you see in the pictures.
It is pretty rusty but it's a million years old.The seats look ok though.
The bulkhead does need repair before i get asked that one.
The engine does turn over but i haven't managed to start it yet.this is obviously spares or repairs so you will need to trailer it away.
It is what it is ,a rusty tax-exempt vehicle that some landy nut will love or a source of parts for someone.
I have repaired and put these back on the road in much worse condition but i have neither the time or enthusiasm for it now
only bid if you are able to take it within a week i will not store it.Chassis number is on a plate courtesy of a previous owner on the inner wing

Located near Stratford upon Avon / Warwickshire
It was rebuilt and restored in September 2012. At this time the following upgrades were undertook.
Lowering springs and shock absorbers
Terrafirma Steering damper
Allmakes grooved and drilled dics all round
EBC Green Stuff Pads all round
New series doors
New clutch kit
Recently fully Polybushed
Bulkhead was fully repaired - This needed work on the foot wells
All Panels were flatted down, primed and painted in Land Rover Bali Blue inside and out. The chequerplate, grille, and light surrounds are painted a Jaguar Dorchester grey.
After this the 90 was reassembled using stainless bolts where ever they could be used.
A Range Rover Classic of the same year was used as a donor vehicle as it was fitted with a 3.9 V8 that has some good performance modifications.
The spec of this is a follows;
Big valve heads
Exhaust and inlet ports have been polished and enlarged
High lift Kent Cam
Kenlowe electric fan kit
Large bore tubular manifolds
K&N cone air filter
Stainless exhaust system
There is no paperwork to confirm the mods but there are plenty of paperwork and receipts for the donor vehicle.
The LT77 gearbox also comes from the donor Range Rover. It's the long stick type so the gear stick is in the correct position.
Axles are the later 24 spline type
Reconditioned 4 bolt steering box
All new copper brake pipes and Goodridge hoses fitted.
1 year old BFgoodrich Mud Terrain tyres on steel 8 spokes, one spare used tyre without rim.
New Speedo Cable
LED NAS side lights fitted
TD5 Clear side repeaters
Inside there is;
A pair of reconditioned seats with G4 retrim kits. Both seats are heated, only the drivers side appears to be working.
Lockable steel Cubby Box
Momo steering wheel
Large Rev counter
Chequer plate floors.
No mats, No carpets just plain and simple hose out and clean. This suits me perfectly but be under no illusion there aren't any creature comforts!
The canvas hood is less than a year old.
There is some aluminium corrosion to bottom of each door and side flank panels.
The paint is of good condition but not something that you would see leaving a Bentley showroom.
Temporary indicator can be seen on the front near side. The LED item was letting water in, it's currently drying out.
Near side front wing vent has dropped off. Recent replacement item did the same before I could secure it in place.
Trailer light illuminated on the dash at present which can be seen from the pictures, I assume the rear electrics might be slightly corroded.
MOT has just been carried out.
There is one very dog eared bench seat installed in the rear. No belts!
The rear brake disks are slightly warped. There is a faint judder felt through the pedal on high speed braking,
After the MOT less than a month ago the front brakes appear to bind partially on full lock. It's booked to go back for a check Wed 9th Nov.
101 ambulance with specially built one off coach built body on it.
From what I can gather this was built about 15 years ago to be used for 4x4 excursions in Poland where it was used for a few years and then made it's way back to the uk
link here to an old write up on it copy and paste to view
The body is a very neat well made professionally built the width of a radio body and the roofline of an ambulance and now seats 7 in comfort with seat belts. And a separate rear locker section for luggage and spares. Ideal base for a superb overland vehicle.
Also installed before the body is a gs roll hoop front and rear so it is a bit safer for it's passengers.
It has been completely rewired for the auxiliary equipment and the original Lucas harness has been replaced, a wiring diagram is with it and it's a very neat job and everything works. Two new laminated screens have just been fitted due to the originals being damaged.
Body and chassis wise it is very good and does not require any work to be used on the road, I have had it running on petrol, it also has a gas kit fitted but I have not tried the gas.
To make it roadworthy it will require a few mechanical jobs to be finished that I don't have time to do this side of winter, the previous owner started to convert it to an autobox, which is in place and the oil cooler is mounted in place but I am undecided on sourcing a manual gearbox and convert it back to manual if I were to keep it but for the moment it's being offered for sale as a half auto conversion just in case anybody wants it as an auto which many say is the best way to go with a 101 as it will drive a bit more like a range rover classic and a bit less hectic in traffic situations
A weekend of tinkering and this could be mot'd but I have no intention of looking at it until the spring so it's up for sale before I end up storing it for the winter. the work required on this is reflected in the price, for the cost of a few parts and a weeks work this will be worth around double the asking price when it is on the road.
Having owned many 101s this is by far the most civillian friendly one i have had the pleasure of owning and will make somebody a very well sorted unique land rover.
Viewings welcome, if you decide to bid or use the buy it now please make sure you actually want it and are able to pick it up, it will fit on a twin axle brian james clubman trailer as i have had it on one.
Sellers Comments - This is my very genuine 1960 Land Rover Series 2 SWB 88inch 2.25 litre petrol engine. Nice and straight. Starts runs and drives very well. Still retains the original push bottom start. Engine very clean and runs well. No horrible smoke to report. Drives through all the gears nicely and stops in a straight line so all brakes working well. Mot has just been passed and runs until 9th October 2017. Passed with no advisories. Very decent canvas top fitted with no rips or holes. Bulkhead is in superb shape. Chassis is in very good shape and still on the original one. Footwells are tidy. Body panels are all straight. The only area that needs tidying is where it has just had a repair at the bottom of the O/S/F door pillar for the mot. This is clearly shown in my last picture. Original engine and gearbox. Mileage showing as 96,870 miles . First registered on 08/08/1960. Newly fitted 3 black front seats. Has 2 very decent black bench seats in rear. So can seat 7. THIS IS A VERY TIDY EXAMPLE OF THE RARE SERIES 2 model.......THIS IS NOT A 2A. Any questions or to view please email me.
