This is my lovely Land Rover Defender Double cab pick up. 2005 truck with 142k miles on it. All doors are Puma doors which I fitted and which cost me 3000.00. Full XS spec so it comes with air con, central locking,  heated seats and electric windows. New interior that just looks great. I could go on and details everything that I’ve done to it  but it can all be seen in the photos. It needs to go as I have an LS3 conversion to fund. Please don’t make me a silly offer as I know what I’m doing. Don’t bid if you cannot collect within 7 days  and if you’re not willing to pay a 500.00 deposit  within 24 hours of winning. There is no reserve and I have started it low as it needs to go. It is a smooth quick truck that I’d be happy to have anyone come and test drive.

Ever wondered what all the letters and numbers on a number plate mean? You can actually find out about the age of the vehicle and where it was first registered via its number plate (provided it's not a personalised plate). Here's how to decode them.

The numbers and letters are not all random: The current format for vehicle registration numbers in Great Britain was introduced on 1 September 2001 for all new vehicles being registered. Northern Ireland registrations have their own format, 1, 2, 3 or 4 numbers, paired with a block of letters that always contain an I or Z.

The DVLA memory tag: The first two letters are called a ‘memory tag’, which is a location identifier for where the car is first registered. Regions of England have their own letter codes; Reading-registered cars start with the letter R, Essex-registered cars start with an E, and so on. For example:

The age identifier: The two numbers are called the ‘age identifier’, which tells you in which six-month period the car was first registered. The numbers change every six months, in March and September. The March codes follow the year of registration. For cars registered between September and February the numeric code equals the year (as of September) plus 50. So a car registered from September 2021 until February 2022 will have the number 71 (= 21 + 50).

The last three letters: They’re really just random letters. However, due to batch allocation of new registration marks to dealers, it is common for cars with "neighbouring" letter sequences to be of the same manufacturer.

Half leather heated seats, heated screens, air con, electric windows and central locking.

This is an excellent defender In the last 500 miles it's had a new LOF clutch fitted it's been tuned by empire tuning to go better, be better on fuel and have more pull and two new CV joints. Plus oils and filters all done. So ready to go.

Ive also added landy glass flush fitting windows which make it better to see out off as it was a van body.

Has bench seats in the back with belts and a steel chubby box. Comes with peddle lock and optimal take off steering wheel.

Led lights all round and a snorkel. 

I haven't driven it a thousand miles this years was bought as a back up to my 110 which has never let me down. I now have another Land Rover to help with that and this just has never really been used so shame to see it just sitting their. It will if changing up quickly some times crunch on 2nd gear but other than that drives very well.

Land Rover Defender 90 td5 Total one off. Turns heads wherever he goes

Sellers Comments -I bought 'Gav' in 2019 and have loved every second of owning him. Original engine died and it was professionally replaced with a tuned td5 engine and runs and sounds amazing. He even has a boost button which was a gift from the garage. I would drive this landy anywhere, over anything. He's got great acceleration and will sit comfortably on the motorway at 65-75mph. He pulls really well, the ride is comfortable, no rattles or noise other the amazing sound of the engine and exhaust. Upgraded suspension and shocks have made a huge difference. Solid underneath and treated with rust prevention. Ragtop in great condition, all landys leak but this one is actually quite water tight, especially on the main area. Doors let in rain at the usual places nothing to worry about. Sold with waterproof cover that is easy to pop on if you keep it outside. I am currently only using him to go to the beach and back so not using it enough, so rather would see it go to a good home. Having said that, I'm in no hurry. I have piled around £17,000 into him so whoever owns him next is the lucky one, everything has been done. More photos and video available on request, feel free to call or text. Ex military, from Cyprus. tool boxes in back, can be removed and side seats added. very fast, loud and everything a defender should be! Number plate valued at £900-1500 If I was to keep him, Id do the following: Dif lock needs connecting (but you really don't need it, unless you're planning to do serious off roading which I haven't done) Back seats make the exhaust slightly quieter, it was advised in latest mot, he sounds great but he is loud! sold with 12 months MOT, work carried out at Devon 4x4, if you know of them, you'll know how professional they are. One of the mechanics was wanting to buy it himself but his wife said no! (he already has 3!) Give me a call to discuss, no silly offers, no funny business. Would consider swapping for something interesting. I can honestly say that it has never been in better shape since I owned it. This is a one off and will be worth a lot more in the future.
