1967 Land Rover Series 2a 88" SWB Diesel, Tax Exempt, Overdrive Gearbox

Welcome to my auction for my old Land Rover SWB Diesel with and Overdrive Gearbox and Freewheel hubs. A very desirable specification series Land Rover that is awaiting restoration or refurbishment. I purchased the car a couple of years ago with all good intentions to restore it but, alas, life gets in the way and I have decided to spend my time restoring my 1967 Land Rover Dormobile instead. The vehicle has never run in my ownership but it was believed to be functioning when it was parked up. The overdrive gearbox is complete and fitted, which will certainly help keep the old girl a bit more relaxed when cruising the lanes. The freewheel hubs are fitted and rotate as they should. A truck cab is enhanced with the addition of a very agricultural home made truck bed cover. It may not be a pretty accessory but your Collie will not escape and, should a nuclear war break out, you could use it as a blast shelter! The chassis is pretty good and may only need localised repairs. The car is fairly complete but does have a series three 2 1/4 petrol bulkhead, dash and wings fitted. The bulkhead needs repairs in the usual places but is not a lost cause. The wiring loom will need work as it has been cut during replacement. The bulkhead and wings are just loosely assembled and will need securing before transport. I have not bolted it all on as the lucky new owner may well decide to source the correct series 2a bulkhead and front panels. The V5c is in my name, is present with the Land Rover and shows the Historic Vehicle taxation class. Basically, I consider this to be a sound basis for a restoration project and, whilst it is not roadworthy at present, it will make a fantastic and desirable classic Land Rover when it is completed. I had contemplated stripping it to sell the overdrive box, freewheel hubs and truck cab separately from the vehicle as it would undoubtedly make more money that way. However, I think this lovely old Land Rover deserves better than being scattered all over the country and you have ten months to get her back on the road for her 50th birthday!

Land Rover 88 Series 2 Petrol SWB 1958 N/R - No Reserve

This is in a very original and unmolested condition with great patina featuring, as far as we can tell, all of the original features of the early series 2.
Registered in 1959 it's both MOT and tax exempt.
Odometer is showing 23k miles which is believed to be original.

It starts on the button... runs, drives well and has been in regular use.

Chassis is in excellent condition and does not need any welding.
Could probably do with a set or tyres.

Please remember this is a 59 year old un-restored Land Rover so please look at the pictures carefully and be realistic with your expectations.
If you have any questions or would like to view, do so before you bid.

NO RESERVE

1981 LAND ROVER SERIES 3 88" 4 CYL DIESEL BLUE 78000 MILES

Sellers Comments - Auction for my 1981 Land Rover series III Diesel 4WD with just 78077 Miles showing on the Clock. I don't know much about these, but 'think' it's a Short wheel base, and looking at the weight and also on google, I 'think' this is the "1 Ton" variant?? Land Rover Buffs please feel free to correct me or give some info as to exactly what this is! It's a nice looking thing, starts right up even after months of being stood, hasn't been on the road for approx 8 years, so has no MOT (Last MOT'd 29th October 2007) and will need trailering away. I can deliver this myself no problem on a recovery truck anywhere in the U.K. for approx £1.40 per mile from me to you so, for example, If you live 100 Miles away, this will be £140 delivered safely, and it will be delivered with the utmost care and attention being my vehicle personally delivered to you.

Land Rover 109 Series 3 2.25 petrol (low miles) - 1976

Land Rover series 3 109 from the MOD Starts on the button, drives very well through the gears - the best you'll drive The vehicle has been operating overseas and was released in 1986, with 55,000 Km's on the clock. Comes with rear tailgate and a few other things that you can see are missing. Almost ready for MOT and would make a great project! Based near Derby, midlands

1973 LAND ROVER Series 3 in original condition

Sellers Comments - We bought this beautiful original landrover series 3 in unrestored condition because it was so beautifully looked after mechanically, original and lovely to drive We looked at some which had had all the body finish/work done but our preference was to find a gem we could turn into our own little project. This car wasn't actually for sale, I approached the owner and convinced him to let us take good care of it if he sold to us. We used this car regularly for about 6 months (when I bought it the owner drove the 70 or so miles to deliver it to me so it shows the condition it's in ). One house move and a young baby later we acknowledge we aren't going to give this car the fun and airing it deserves! So very reluctantly we have decided to sell. My husband has taken some convincing that we will not get around to the project so to set expectations about offers..! We know quite a bit about the vehicles history. It was purchased by a farming family near Salisbury and used on the farm /equestrian purposes. It changed hands locally, and the chap we ended up purchasing it from was an archaeologist who had used it as intended, all off road works mostly on Salisbury plain and it has seen some wonderful experiences The entire car is original, no replacement panels or interior. It's a 2.3l petrol, Fairey overdrive, cab/ pick up with the roof cover as seen in picture. 100k plus miles. Tax exempt. I am by no means an expert , so please do email with questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Colour is a light blue/grey (original colour would have been blue, the seat belts are dark blue in colour ). It has been a working vehicle and has all the associated wear and tear as such, internally and externally. I took advice from one of the top landrover restoration companies (we had intended to use them for our project) and they described the car as honest. There were no advisory notes on the last MOT and based on lots of questions can confirm we checked the bulkhead (where windscreen meets is I understand the common weak spot) and there were no issues or visible rust. We have had this car off the road for over 2 years but have started a few times, and always starts perfectly for age of vehicle. It is in need of MOT and we will discuss with interested buyers. The gearbox is really easy and well looked after, it's easy to drive ( particularly compared to some we test drove ). There are lots of honest photos available and you would be welcome to come and look at it. prefer experienced buyers only, given nature of the vehicle, interested parties only no offers. We are a private seller and also unable to offer part exchange for obvious reasons. After a few enquiries I have attached further pictures. As you can see this is barn stored and ideally I would have washed etc before the photos but in terms if timing etc. You'll see that it's in genuine condition. I'm no expert but the exhaust looks new, was prior to our purchase. Everything else is all original, all bodywork etc. I should also have said that I have supporting paperwork for history. Please let me know if you have any other questions and I'll do my best to answer! Thank you for your interest , genuine ebayer please check out my feedback. We are located just outside of stockbridge in Hampshire

Land Rover series 3

Land Rover series 3 In very good condition for age 2.25 petrol runs very smoothly Gear boxes was rebuilt a few years ago lots of history with the it

LAND ROVER 88" - 4 CYL BLUE/CREAM

This 1971 (tax except) Land Rover was the subject of a full body-off restoration. New parts fitted inc. Galvanised Richards chassis, side door tops, rear door skin, rear tub floor & cross bearers, all door windscreen & window seals, front floor panels, mud shields & steering box cover, fuel tank, shock absorbers, spring bushes, front swivel seals, axle oil seals & bearings, 'U' bolts, brake shoes, all cylinders inc. master, copper brake piping, new under seat too box, all new door locks and ignition switch, steering relay, halogen head lights & side maker and flasher lamps, wiring harness, battery, radiator & hoses, prop shaft universal joints, all track rod ends, two rear tyres. The following were o/hauled/refurnished/renovated: main bulkhead, brake servo, heater matrix, speedometer serviced and calibrated, high ratio differentials fitted, steering box, front axle free wheel hubs, gearbox & transfer box, windscreen, rear tow bar, front bumper all re-galvanised. The vehicle was re-painted using enamel coach paint, 2 coats of u/coat and 2 of gloss finish. The engine has been left as was, as it was an ex Army re-build, and starts first time, has good consistent compression, runs smoothly & quietly and has good torque. Is happy to cruise at 55/60 mph, and with the servo assisted brakes gives confidence to drive. The current MOT has 1 advisory of a small crack in a front tyre, but not significant at this time. I've much enjoyed the whole renovation process and use over the last 2 years, but now need to sell to fund the next project.

Landrover Series 3 diesel restoration

Up for very reluctant sale is my straight 1978 series 3, 3 bearing 2 1/4 diesel (Rita)., currently requiring re-commissioning. Scruffy but solid. Due to an upcoming change in circumstances I no longer have the space or time to commit to her. It is with great reluctance that I have to let her go.
I have owned this vehicle for the past 5 years and she has spent the majority of that time garaged. Frequently started and moved about to keep the tyres good. I never quite got round to sorting her.
She runs and moves but smokes. The problem is not believed to be the pistons. as the bores are good and the rings in good condition. I now don't have the time to work on her and solve the problem. The other issue is that the headlights have now stopped working.
The chassis and bulkhead/footwells etc are good and strong. There is some surface rust present on the chassis as in photo but this is as said light surface and the metal is very strong.  It needs a wire brush and a good coat of waxoil to obtain many years of future use.
She needs a bit of dedicated work and a fresh coat of paint to get her back up to scratch. Series 3s are steadily increasing in value since defenders ended production and this one will be worth considerable more than the starting price when done. She would suit someone looking for a quick restoration producing a usable and good condition vehicle
With the landy is a collection of parts and engines put together as part of my restoration plan. There is a second 3 bearing engine which requires piston rings and valves reseating. This engine is a valuable source of spares or would make a good spare second engine. There is also another good cylinder head with good valves. Also included is a 19j Sherpa non turbo engine which was sold to me from a reliable source as just needing new oil seals. I obtained the engine in case I wanted to increase the power at a future date. An easy change of engine.
There should be more than enough spares present to finish her and keep her running for years.
Viewing is welcome. Please message me with any questions and to arrange viewings. She is stored at my home garage Foulridge Colne Lancashire. She can be driven onto the drive for a good look around her in daylight. She will need to be collecting by seven days following the auction ending and a trailer will be required. Cash on collection. I will help with any loading. Currently sorn, no mot. log book present and in my name.
Please remember that the auction is for the vehicle, spares and engines. You bid to buy not to view or haggle a lower price. If you wish to leave behind any parts that's fine and I will arrange disposal of what remains as the garage has to be cleared.

1983 LAND ROVER 88" - 4 CYL BLUE

Short wheelbase Land rover van This has been dry stored for some years Very solid chassis Diesel Engine and gearbox are fine I have just brought this Landover from the last owner who has had the vehicle for many years I Have just driven it back from his farm to my house which is a distance of 56 miles it ran like a watch temperature was fine, gearbox no whines and engine no smoke whatsoever Handbrake works perfect The brakes do work but would need attention for an mot All electrics wipers, heater fan, indicators, lights, temperature gauge and fuel gauge work fine Viewing is welcome

Land Rover series 2 NOT series 2a totally original MOT & TAX EXEMPT

This is a Landrover series 2 and NOT series 2a

I am excited to present this amazing and rare series of Landrover.
Its engine, body and parts are all original and it work brilliantly for its age.

It is very well kept and it has been regularly maintained.
The best part is that only 500 of this series were made and this one is number 313.

It has 7 previous owners and the last owner had it for 12 years.
When I got my hands on the Landrover I considered myself very lucky especially after seeing how well was kept and maintained by the last owner.
It was use on a countryside and it looked amazing .

However , I must sell it as I cannot keep it for financial reasons.
I looked into restoration pathway but I just can’t support that kind of project due to my current work commitments.

So whoever gets this beauty , I am sure will very much enjoy it.

Series 1 Land Rover 1966 - Project Restoration

88 inch, Series 1 Land Rover. Vehicle for restoration needs - bulkhead repairs, floor repairs, chassis repairs, wing mirrors need replacing, as do the rubber seals around the windows and doors. Currently there are two seats from the front missing. Wiper motor works by hand. There is only one bonnet catch (near side one present). Near side rear is bent, and has been since brought due to rear cross member being hit at some point before ownership. There are two free wheeling hubs (on the two front wheels). Gauges and switches are in tact. Vehicle electrics haven't been checked. Two of the windows are cracked, (back near side window, off side window by tailgate). Engine is diesel not petrol as sated on the paper work. Engine size is 2.25cc. Engine turns over by hand, with compression. Has not been run since owned, have owned since 2011. At present I have the V5C, Notification of SORN, Old copies of MOT's and Log Books. One of the Log Books states that it was registered in 1955. Chassis number was checked on the internet which shows manufacturer to be in 1957. Vehicle is road registered in 1966, after being used by the military.

Landrover lightweight project

Hi, this is my lightweight landrover. I bought this 2 years ago as a project but my cousin saw it and decided he would like it so I sold it to him. Anyways 2 years down the line he's admitted it is too much of a project for his limited mechanical knowledge so I've acquired it back. Right were to start... this is a 1973 12 volt 1/2ton lightweight fitted with a 2286cc petrol. It was previously owned by an elderly couple since the mid ninety and then lay parked up with them for many years until I bought it. At the time I fitted a new clutch master cylinder, a starter solenoid and some fresh petrol and she fired up and drove onto the trailer. As it stands it is a restoration project but will make a lovely vehicle when done a bonus being is it was demobbed in 1978 but the logbook states declared man 1973 so will be tax exempt when relicensing. It has been partly stripped so roof, rear tub seat box and floor panels had been removed but I have loosely tagged it back together. All nuts and bolts have been saved in white envelopes marked with there position to help the new owner. As you can see it is fitted with the very rare tropical roof and catflap back door although the glass is missing in the door. Body is very straight for its age and still holds many original features. Chassis is in need of repair mainly around the rear crossmember and fuel tank outriggers but is repairable. Bulkhead has some rot to the kick panels and footwells although a new footwell and two new kick panels are included. Top bulkhead is a little more worse for wear. Included are both fuel tanks. Rear bench seats. The spare wheel and the usually missing rear toolbox . As of yet I haven't tried to get it running as the fuel tanks are removed but I will try to start it off a bottle this week. Any questions please ask. There is a sensible reserve as this is here to sell. Logbooks is in my name, so grab yourself a great project. Cash on collection only.

This vehicle is a tidy example of a historic Landy, that's pretty near all original. I suggest, it would benefit from a new owner giving it a full service, tlc and regular runs.
There's plenty to tinker with (or not) depending on your enthusiasm.

Currently SORN and no mot.

I have an agreed valuation certificate in place, and 'buy it now' reflects this, however, sensible offers will be considered.
