Land Rover series 3 109 lwb restored rebuild 12M MOT petrol

Sellers Comments - This land rover has been extensively restored! I have done a full chassis up rebuild, with over 250 photos to prove it. When I brought it the rear chassis was rotten, so I custom fabricated a new one, including, cross member, legs, spring mounts out of 3mm steel. The chassis also had to new out riggers also made from 3mm steel. The rest of the chassis has been blind patched the whole way round. This land rover will not need welding for the next 15 years! It has also had 2 thick coats of under seal. The rear axle was removed and springs taken off, new bushed where fitted and the axle cleaned and under sealed. Whilst the body was off I made new fuel tank mounts, refurbished the fuel tank, with a new sender, a paint, new filler neck and fuel pipe. The next work I carried out was to replace the brake system, I fitted a full set of new brake pipes, a master cylinder rear brake shoes and a drivers side rear cylinder. I also made an fitted a complete new wiring loom that I made from heavy duty truck trailer cable. I then remounted the body using stainless steel bolts and any repair that where it was needed where carried out. The door and bonnet where fitted. After they where dry fitted I removed them to spray the whole vehicle. The vehicle had 3 coats of base and 2 coats of clear. This is a land rover so I left some of the small dents in, because I didn’t want to over restore it. Once the paint had a week to harden, I then fitted new door hinges, new door mirrors and a full set of anti burst locks and keys! (bloody expensive). The next job was to fit new side/ind/brake/fog lights, plastic head light buckets and new headlights. After I sorted the electronics I then fitted new seats from a vw people carrier much more comfortable! And 3 point seat belts from a polo for safety. From this I then spent time cleaning the cab up, fitting new gators, grommets and washer jets. The last job was to service the engine, witch had new plugs, oil, filters and a petrol system clean. There has been new expense spared on this truck! There are only a few little things, It could do with a new grill as the old one has a small hole in, never bother me though, think it gives it some character and the hazard switch just broke, if I get time I will fix it.] 12 months mot List of new parts; Number plates, head lights, head light bowls, indicator, side, brake, fog lights, new wiring, inner mud shields, master cylinder, copper brake pipes, plugs, filers, oil, bonnet hinges rubbers, middle exhaust and silencer, rear exhaust mount, 3x new anti burst door locks and matching keys, indicator stalk, seats, fog light switch, seat belts, gators, washer jets, wipers, glazing kits both doors, door hinges, fuel tank sender, fuel pipe, filler pipe, rear brake shoes, brake cylinders, stainless bolt kit, wing fixing kit, door mirrors, rear spring bushes, washer tubing, paint (costing over £300), heater tube, wheel mounting
