On offer here is a lovely Series 3 diesel that has had a
'body off' rebuild over the last seven years with receipts for over £1,000 of
new parts.
It is fitted with overdrive, free wheeling hubs and hardtop.
Chassis is very good and bodywork very straight and tidy having had several
panels replaced and then a bare metal repaint.
It belonged to a friend of mine who has had to sell it due
to ill health and consequently loosing his driving licence. It is 95% finished
and only requires the interior finishing, the heater system reconnecting and a
small hole in the gearbox crossmember welding.
New parts fitted include:-
Brake system (master cylinder, drums, wheel cylinders, shoes
and brake pipes).
Electrical system (Starter motor, Alternator, Battery,
wiring loom, front and rear lights)
Cooling system (Top, bottom, heater hoses)
Bodywork (LH rear wing, RH rear wing, Door tops, hard top
windows, seat cushions, floor panels etc.)
Chassis (Shock absorbers, shackle pins, U bolts).
