The previous owner restored this vehicle over a period of a
few years and spend thousands on it including a refurbished chassis and
bulkhead, new tilt etc, Here is a brief list of the work carried out although
im sure there is more and i will add it when i remember it:
Fully rubbed down and resprayed in Nato green, its a pretty
good job although there are a few dents here and there but they add to the
character, the door bottoms are ok and the tops are good. Tail gate needs
painting.
Rebuilt on a refurbished chassis and bulkhead that are in
really good condition and have been built up with layers of chassis enamel
rather than thick schutz and has been oiled internally.
Rebuilt engine with new piston and and all the valves ground
in with new valve seals and built up with a new clutch, recent carb, new
Distributor, new coil and new plugs and runs like a sewing machine and is
actually pretty nippy for an old 2 and a quarter.
Front axle fully refurbished with new swivel balls and
housings with new gaiters,
New springs and shocks all round, Heavy duty rear and 2 leaf
parabolic s front.
Complete braking system overhaul including servo, master
cylinder, all the copper pipes, all hoses, all wheel cylinder, all shoes and
drums so as you would expect it breaks really well.
New prop shafts front and rear.
Thermostatically controlled Kenlowe fan
New full length Exmoore trim canvas tilt in khaki.
Brand new seats
New washer pump
New indicator stalk
Its done less than 30 miles since all this work was carried
out so you will be buying it freshly rebuilt and should last many years to come
and make no mistake this is one that has been completely stripped down to
nothing and rebuilt using new parts and there's plenty of receipts and pictures
to prove, the only downside is it needs a heater blower motor but there's
plenty around i just wouldn't bother as there not over-ally effective anyway
and this is a summer vehicle.
Overall this a honest sorted Land Rover that's ready for War
and Peace, however be aware that this isnt a new Range Rover its noisy, heavy
to drive and has no creature comforts at all.
We can deliver this vehicle but please ask first for a
price.
Please note that you are bidding to buy not kick tyres if
someone comes to collect/view it and gives me a load of old spiel about it
needing this and wanting that and will I take less etc, I will still not take
any less than the winning bid. I think this is the best way as we all know
where we stand and won't be wasting each others time.
£100 deposit on auction ending and must be collected within
7 days.
Also the numberplates are removed for safety reasons but it
is fully registered and has been since 1988.
