Rover defender with its matching, ex-military expedition trailer - with
hydraulics.
Under 194000 miles on the clock although it has to trek up
through Europe one more time.
Right Hand Drive on UK plates. mot'd and taxed
New heavy duty gearbox, transfer box and clutch
9 seats, 5 front facing, plus two benches.
Interior in good condition.
Chasis and Bodywork OK but of an age where it needs looking
after. Starting to rust on passanger front door hinge point and rear passanger
door - photos available.
NATO tow hook.
Mechanically the vehicle is very sound and reliable. Mostly
used in North Africa where it doesn't let me down.
All tyres in good condition, two are almost new.
The engine does not use/loose oil or water.
The vehicle was first registered in 1997. It is MOT'd till
Mid July. It should pass without trouble, possibly with new brake pads.
The vehicle is en-route from Spain at the moment and will be
available for viewing in Basingstoke (UK) from Friday 12th June. I will be
leaving Spain Wednesday evening and will not be contactable until we dock at
Portsmouth on Thursday night.
This is an amazing piece of kit and great for the serious
overlander. It has served my organisation well for many years.
I have loads of service history, reciepts etc. the new
gearbox, clutch, transfer box etc has only done around 5000 miles. The
radiator, battery and front springs are all also fairly new.
The vehicle comes with a substantial off road trailer that
was converted from a milatary trailer, it has a lockable top and fittings for a
