Landrover series 3 petrol engine 2286cc.
I have only just purchased this vehicle and yes here it is
for sale again. I Have the original bill of sale for this vehicle. I am only in
possession of the green slip at the moment as the full v5 hasnt come through yet. But it can be driven
away with this slip and taxed. You will either love these things or hate them.
I HATE them. There awful to drive, noisy, draughty, no mod cons, why would
anyone want one i ask? I bought it with no MOT but it has just passed a full 12
month MOT today. The lads at the MOT station loved it and said it was a good
one. So if your into these things it may be for you. Details are below.
she was used on a country estate before i purchased it just
for bobbing around in, so hence it had no MOT.
I purchased it for taking my dogs down to the beach in 4 nights a week,
i have replaced it with a transit Combo van, with power steering and electric
windows and a radio. Thank god for that.
THE GOOD BITS.
Starts on the button 1st time every time. Engine sounds
good, ticks over nicely. All electrics
work as they should. in fact everything works.
good solid chassis, new brake pipes and different bits, steerings nice and
brakes are excellent.
NOT SO GOOD BITS.
The doors are
draughty as hell, the seats dont adjust,
no electric windows, no cd player, no leather seats, No bluetooth, no drinks
holders,
On a more serious note, it has been hand painted, needs a
rub down and painting properly, if you wish to do so, also i have been told it
has the usual Landy gearbox problem. It is fine in forward gears but noisy in
reverse, this wasnt going to bother me as i was told they will last for ever
like that and i was only going to do
approx 4 trips a week in her, So i would have left it as it was. But the
new owner may wish to change the box, It is a 4 speed box with no overdrive.
They are available quite easily i have been told. Its up to the new owner whether to leave it
in or not.
