Series III 109 LWB ex-Operation Talic/Desert Storm. Masses of military history
Series III 109 LWB ex-Operation Talic/Desert Storm. Masses
of military history in a file with original number details, she was TA, 3 Para
& 2 Para and Army Air Corps, she went out to Iraq with the Paras where the
side boxes where field fitted. I've had several of these over the years and
other military vehicles, we've had great fun with her at shows so far and
always gets masses of attention. This is one of the very few not messed about
with Series 3's I've had and seen, runs like a sewing machine.
Bad bits are that although the floors are solid, aren't
pretty but paint and matts and job done, there would be needed a small L patch
needed on the rear x-member done for the winter time..
Rubbed down, primed & fresh paint
Bulkhead and floors sorted and solid
New brakes
Overhauled engine including distrib/coil/pump
Webber carb, making the solid engine spritely and fresh
Brand new recon gearbox, new lay shaft etc with the clutch
done last year
Brand new FFR hood which is 2 weeks old, clearly no leaks or
drips
Pioneer kit fitted at the back.
Internally she has floor mats front and rear, as you can see
the footwells have been sorted aswell as primed, I haven painted them as the
matts go over. Recon seats both front and rear, front has 3 seat belts fitted,
rewired and all mil lighting works with mil lighting consol, new dash top,
jerry can rack inside. Fuel system is a single fuel tank but all the plumbing
is there but take not that this means the fuel gauge doesn't indicate. Door
tops are 6/10. Driving is a pleasure, not all over the place and the gear box is
great an not your usual wishy washy affair. I'm very sad to see this go as had
alot of shows planned with the children but a loss of job means I cant keep
everything at the moment but if I could I would as there is nothing quite like
driving around in a soft-top ex-army Landy. Comes with a spare hood but this
really is a temp cover with tea bag like qualities and the remainder of the
paint so you have the right colour and batch details. Advertised else where on
an OVNO basis, absolutely perfect for the summer season..viewing anytime

The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.
