Land Rover Series 2A almost finished project - 1966

For auction is my 1966 Series 2A. This is a genuine 2A originally supplied to the Army as a General Service (GS) Fitted for Radio (FFR) 1/4 ton truck. The Army reg number was 61 ER 52. It was cast from military service on 21/7/75 after which it got it's first civilian registration number which is a P reg. The V5 recognizes it as a 1966 Historic Vehicle and an age related number could be obtained from the DVLA. The chassis and bulkhead have been shot blasted and repaired and you will not find any rust anywhere. The body panels have been stripped back to bare metal, etch primed and painted in satin desert sand. (Don't expect to find a gloss finish). The engine is the original petrol unit which was rebuilt before I bought the vehicle. It has been completely rewired. Braking system has copper pipes and new flexible hoses. Wheel cylinders and drums are new. The Smiths heater has been rebuilt with a copper core. Seat belts and seat cushions are new. It has parabolic springs, long wheelbase wheels and tyres, 12 volt alternator, an electric fan and a Series 3 radiator (original 2A big top radiator is included in the sale) Passed MOT on 9th May 2016 with no advisories.
