Sellers Comments - It started life in 1965 as a military FFR 24V wireless truck. It left military service after ten years. It was converted to 12 volts a long time ago by a previous owner, but there are a few remnants of its previous identity: a few redundant electrical bits on the bulkhead and (I think) oil cooler mounting points on the chassis in front of the radiator. You can see from the photos it's a “bitsa”. It has newish electronic dizzy, carb, and starter motor, prop shaft, radiator, exhaust. It is on modern wheels with Hankook mud tyres, but it does come with a set of old wheels. It comes with a many receipts showing what's been bought for it over the years.

The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.
