Land Rover Lightweight - Ex Strike Command RAF Leuchars - TAX EXEMPT - NEW MOT

Sellers Comments - 1976 Series 3 Land Rover Lightweight 12V Petrol correctly registered as Historic vehicle ( zero tax and cheap to insure). Although now in army guise she is actually ex Strike Command RAF Leuchars as per military reg number and copy of RAF service record. There is still RAF blue/grey paint under the bonnet! A good combination of a classic vehicle with sensible modifications as follows:- parabolic springs - Ashcroft transmission transfer gearing - X engineering disc handbrake - free wheeling hubs - recent alternator - recent new clutch and exhaust - spare wheel carrier on rear - Halogen headlights - recent canvas roof - 2 map lights and interior lights and clock - laminated screens - recent new top bulkhead (rare and expensive) - electronic distributor - Zeus front disc brake conversion - high torque starter motor - sony radio in cubby box - rear roll cage - webber carburettor - electric fuel pump - rear seat benches - locking doors two keys. Vehicle is a 40 year old military lightweight Land Rover don't expect modern motoring. Has had some welding to the the chassis in the past but all solid. Also included - two spare half doors with locks and keys (this allows the vehicle to be fully open with no windows the doors are match painted to the vehicle) - bimini cover - fume curtain - union jack front cover on the front as shown - spare battery.
