....
This is a lovely old Land Rover in ready to use condition.
Registered in London on 1st Jan 1952 as LYO 683.
Chassis number is 26102139 and the original engine is 26103865
The original registration number was lost in the 1980's sadly but has been issued with YXG 989 which looks rather good.
The engine is the original 2.0 litre which is quite unusual.
It fell into disrepair until bought by the last owner in 2005 when a full stip down was carried out with all welding on the chassis and bulkhead done to a good and solid standard.
It was then reassembled and used on a regular basis for a few years.
The history file has all the invoices for work and parts carried out during and after the restoration adding up to around £5000.
Little used in the last few years a new old stock steering box has been recently fitted and I have had new door top window runners and perspex windows have been fitted along with new seat backs.
The engine was also serviced with new oil and spark plugs and a new UJ fitted.
The brakes were also serviced due to lack of use.All the above was done by Tom Pickford with the invoice on the file for £960.
The chassis and bulkhead are still in very good condition.
The engine is one of the quietest I have heard and pulls very well. The gearbox is working well.
The tyres are 750's and have plenty of tread all round.
The hood is in good condition.
To sum up this a very useable solid 80" ready to have some fun.

These early 80's are only going up in value so have some fun with no depreciation!!
