The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.

Iconic 1962 Series 2a Land Rover 109" Tax exempt Classic Barn Find 1 3 Camper
Sellers Comments - Brief details; Green, 1962 2a 109" with full length roof, windows and rear door. The Good: L594 Glass indicators and side lights. AVM Freewheeling hubs Banjo Steering wheel Bulkhead pretty solid with the exception of the passenger footwell (new repair panel supplied with vehicle) Nearly new full length Brownchurch style galvanised roof rack and ladder. Spare wheel swing away. Sun visor Nice 3 number 3 letter plate but unfortunately not transferable but I'm pretty sure it is the original reg. The not so good; Failed last MOT on, Rear position lamp(s) not working (1.1.A.3b) Offside Front Direction indicator not working (1.4.A.2c) Offside Inner Ball joint dust cover excessively deteriorated so that it no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (2.2.C.1c) Offside Outer Ball joint dust cover excessively deteriorated so that it no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (2.2.C.1c) Nearside Front Vehicle structure has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2) Nearside Vehicle structure has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2) It's been stood since and I've not tried to start it (doesn't currently have a battery) but the engine turns by hand (will try to start it next week), clutch seems to be seized, brakes seem to work. Vehicle is in North Essex and will obviously need transporting away. I will try to add more photos later but I'd prefer if you came for a look. Once purchased needs removing within 7 days unless by prior agreement.
