Land Rover Defender Overland Expedition Camper 2005 110 Td5

Sellers Comments -
110 2005 150k FULL SERVICE HISTORY, Td5.

Firstly please remember this is a 14 year old Defender and NOT in SHOWROOM Condition.
Has been off road and subsequently got green lane marks on the paint.
Roof has been painted by hand and is pealing in places, but it's that high up you don't see it!
One of the rubber wheel arch has a hole in it.

But still a real head Turner, and looks stunning as you can see from the photos. You really would be surprised how many people admire her.

There is no buy it now price and I won't end the auction early. That would not be fair.

But please remember this is an auction not a Classified add.
Only bid if you are going to buy.

I am trying to be as honest as possible in the description.

The guy who just changed the diff bearings is a Land Rover mechanic for one of the larger dealers he said it was the best he had ever driven and wanted to buy it, unfortunately he can't afford to.

She really does drive well, happily sit at 80 all day.
I have regularly driven to London and back and never had a problem.

So .....
MOT December 2019, had advisories about break pipes so had  them replaced with cooper.
No expense spared on maintenance full service history. If anything wanted doing it was done.

2inch lift, Super Gaz Extra Heavy Duty Expedition springs and shocks.
New gearbox by Land Rover about 5 years ago. £3500.
Just had rear diff bearings replaced.
Running on BIG BFG Goodridge tyres
Rock Sliders.
Snorkel.
Checker Plate.
Light Gaurds.
Winch Bumper & 1200lbs Winch.
9 seat belts.
Tow Bar.
Twin Batteries with split charger.
Twin emobalisers, sorry can't spell that!
Rear makes into a 6ft double bed, quite simple wooden slats sild into a runner then the foam bits do on top. Very effective and comfy.

Roof rack is 3/4 Boarded out, we use it to put chairs on to watch Motor Racing, excellent views from up there.

Rear door mounted cooker, no gas bottle or connector, I left it in my trailer tent when sold.
Extra set of 4 steel wheels and off Road tyres, these are crossply with inner tubes much easier to repair in the wilderness.
High lift Jack behind front seats.

Fitted for a Fiammam awning either side.
The awning is included but unfortunately in need of repair. The wind folded it over the roof, bent a leg and broke a joint.

Sony face off stereo with direct ipod connection but only one speaker.
Fan is either off or on full but a replacement unit is included.
"Park" on windscreen wipers doesn't work, they stop where you turn them off.

I have it insured as a camper costs about £250 a year.

Still on V5 as a Defender not a camper.

I have the original form signed by a garage to say it conforms to camper rags BUT since then I have removed the table and wardrobe.
They just got in the way.
