Land Rover defender 110 300 tdi 4x4

Old school dependable 300tdi engine

This is an enthusiasts vehicle. It has always been a 300 tdi, but has had a lower milage engine and gearbox from a discovery fitted. With the increased gearing this gives it will happily sit at motorway speeds with no issue.

over £2000 worth of parts fitted during rebuild, brakes, shocks, exhaust, clutch, battery, alternator, radiator, etc etc, you get the idea. Fuel pump has been tuned,it goes very well. Ive done around 3000 miles in it in recent months.

I bought this to transport my mountain bike. I had all the headlining done with insulated auto carpet. Bench seat along one side, that folds down onto floor so you could sleep in the back. Sides are boarded, insulated and carpeted too. Inverter powers 3 pin sockets in the rear, and USB sockets. Rear facing LED lights for loading, and 2 different sets of LEDS in the back, all professionally fitted to high standard. currently has 2 fold out bike clamps fitted in rear also. Rear door has fold down shelf to pop a gas camping stove on so you can make a brew ! Heavy duty load space mat.

Fitted with new 8 inch wide wheels with 33x12.50x15 tyres, complete set of 5. New rear half shafts fitted too, rear is heavy duty sought after salisbury axle.

I look after my cars well ,and despite it age, this gets fully valeted every 2 weeks. Full respray in Mercedes AMG Kryptonite Green. With contrasting Santori black roof, bonnet and rear door. I had headlight surrounds and grill sprayed gloss black also.

Ive seen 3-4 year old defenders in worse condition than this. It is hard to believe it's 24 years old. These 300tdi are not computer controlled with ECU problems. They are old school mechanical trucks.

LED light bar on front and just fitted LED main bulbs last week.

So bad points - slight bubbling of paint on bottom of front doors (Ive got some of the green paint from same batch if you wanted to blow them in. Rear lock is tricky, it doesn't drive like a new defender, its noisy and grunty (like its owner)

These are getting rare to find in this condition, I have had so many people comment on it, its a real head turner, great for Landy shows this summer, and great for winter too !!

This has jus got back from local independant Landrover specialist, where it was checked over and mot'd.  so has pretty much a 12 month MOT till April 2020

it has had some new steering parts, centre exhaust section and some light rewired, wheel bearings adjusted etc
