The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.

Land Rover Series 2 II 1958 88" Orig 2.0 Petrol Somerset Fire Tender Reg 830 BYC
Sellers Comments - This is exceeding rare on two accounts.
The 1st that is a very early Series 2 Chassis number 141801096.
The 2nd that it was supplied to Somerset Fire Brigade when new for use as a fire tender.
It has its original 2.0 engine number 141805482 which runs well.
Only approx 1700 Series 2's were fitted with this engine due to the new 2.25 engines being in short supply.
Up to date V5 document present and reg number is transferable but that would ruin the history of the vehicle!
Comes with lots of Fire brigade paperwork which is great. - Additional Photos - Details
