Thrill-seekers can drive through rough terrain in a 4x4 vehicle during a one-hour session. After a safety briefing and introduction, participants will set out on the 3.5 mile track for 20 minutes. Drivers will negotiate the challenging, purpose-built course that includes steep climbs, mud ruts and water crossings. Budding off-roaders can manoeuvre the likes of a Land Rover Defender.
Experience the Country
Established just over four years ago, Experience the Country is based on the 800-acre Hounslow Hall Estate on the western edge of Milton Keynes. Hounslow Hall Estate is a working farm which grows a wide range of crops for the food and drink industry, including wheat and barley. It is also home to a variety of wildlife that can often be seen by visitors while out on their off-road course or segway experience. Activities offered by Experience the Country include segways, archery, crossbows, bushcraft, air rifle shooting, clay pigeon shooting and axe throwing, plus a purpose built off-road course which covers 3.5 miles and offers a wide range of terrain such as steep hills and deep water. They are also part of the British Off Road Driving Association and provide 4x4 driver training for those who need a certificate. Indoor and outdoor venue hire for weddings, festivals and product launches is also available.
