Land Rover Defender 90 300tdi Truck Cab / Pick Up Galvanised Chassis £20k Spent

This truck has had a full ground-up rebuild with over £20k spent on it and a huge folder full of receipts!

The original bulkhead has been put on a Richards HD galvanized chassis which has been painted with 3 coats of chassis enamel and Waxoyled! Whilst it was apart everything was examined and many parts replaced/upgraded including:
  • HD clutch, 
  • HD clutch arm, 
  • Fuel tank, 
  • Body mounts, 
  • Starter motor, 
  • 100A alternator (with uprated wiring), 
  • Radiator, 
  • Steering U/J, 
  • Rear calipers, 
  • All solid clutch & brake pipes and +2" braided flexis, 
  • Brake pads and wheel bearings all round, 
  • New standard springs (with 1" lift blocks), 
  • Terrafirma shocks, 
  • Turrets, 
  • RTC steering damper, 
  • Front drive flanges and extended arches, 
  • 15x10" challenger wheels with 33" BFG M/Ts, 
  • New GKN prop U/Js, track rod ends, axle top ball joint, full SuperPro poly bush kit, 
  • Morgan boost pin, 
  • Uprated intercooler, 
  • Reconditioned G/box and steering box with new drop arm and ball joint, 
  • New HD battery (march 2018), 
  • Side exit stainless steel exhaust (sounds lovely). 
  • 2017 it had a replacement engine from an Auto Discovery (slightly higher BHP) with only 70,000 miles on it (bought from and fitted by an ex main dealer service manager of 25yrs who had owned it from new) who also fitted a new water pump, vac pump, cam belt, timing cover, injectors and lift pump.
  • JVC HAL2 powered external digital DAB aerial.
The tub and tailgate have been lined with powder coated chequer plate, it has one off light boxes and a vented box containing a 'VIAIR' compressor and tank, it is plumbed via a 3 way valve & dump valve in the cab to run 2x PCL connectors (1 under X-member & 1 on F/bumper) and comes with tyre inflator & pressure gauge, it also runs 2x chrome HADLEY truck air horns (with pull chain in cab) very, very LOUD. 

The bodywork is original so has various bumps, dents and scratches. It also has:
  • HD rear bumperettes, 
  • Front & rear diff guards, 
  • HD rock sliders, 
  • Extra HD tank guard, 
  • HD steering guard with tow eyes & shackles, 
  • HD winch bumper and winch, 
  • Bearmach bush bar with internal wiring (around windscreen), 
  • Southdown snorkel, Extended breathers (both axels, G/bow, T/box & timing case), 
  • Bonnet, wing top, rock slider & bumperette chequer plate all powdercoated. 
  • Custom made Glyn Lewis style mud shields to protect X-member, tank, outriggers & floor pans etc.
All lights are LED including Headlights, top cab markers (front & rear), top 42" triple row light bar, 20" (A-bar) light bar, front side lights and indicators (original style clear lens lights with night eye LED bulbs), all NAS LED rear lights (with 2x fog & 2x reverse), red brake/tail lights mounted in X-member, front & rear LED recovery strobes, new style LED work lights on back of cab (relayed) and LED spots on X-member wired to reverse light switch (relayed with extra switch on dash). 

There are also 2x Anderson plugs (1 on X-member and 1 on F/bumper) wired with 200A cable to battery via isolator switch in cab for easy jump starting etc.

The cab has been soundproofed (bulkhead F&R, floor, tunnel, seat box, even the roof), the back of cab and seat box is carpeted and the roof lining has been professionally re covered, RX-8 seats, cubby box, Raptor centre dash consul with CB, 4 speaker stereo, gauges, switches, USBs, cig lighter, volt meter etc, Raptor glove box, 4 decent speakers, ali gear knobs & door handles, uprated gauges (fuel, oil pressure, water temp, boost, digi clock, rev counter, TD5 electronic speedo. RDX centre consul (cup holders), dash top consul and dash end panel, loads of extra switches, P38 hand brake lever fitted on seat box next to driver seat (to free up leg room), very good heater, fire extinguisher, MOMO steering wheel on Optimill slimline boss and quick release.

There's many layers or security, which I will go through with the successful bidder.

The centre cubby could do with recovering if you're bothered about that.

MOT is until October this year. There was no advisories at the last MOT and it will sail through the next one.
