The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.

Sellers Comments - this landrover has been mine for 8 years its a genuine station wagon from new it has afactory fitted sunroof, swing away spare wheel carrier, five alloy wheels,tow bar,cloth seats,side steps, radio/cd player,bullbar and spotlights all fitted from new. it also has an overdrive box fitted about six years ago and rebuilt this year with new top quality bearings. this enables quiet cruising at motorway speeds. also six months ago it had a new galvanised chassis fitted which was painted black first and a new clutch and flywheel at the same time along with anything else needed at the time please feel free to come and veiw the synchro is abit scratchy on second and third but not bad with gentle use - the original bill of sale from farnells when new and 2 keys
