Series 2a Land Rover® 109 6 cylinder Camper Conversion *Unique*

.For sale, through JOHN BROWN 4X4 Ltd, Land Rover® Series 2a 109 Camper in Desert Sand (1968) MOT until April 27th and tax exempt. Rare and original 6 cylinder variant with Overdrive and Free Wheeling Hubs. This is a rare opportunity to own a unique vehicle, bespoke built as a "querky" glamping vehicle. We believe this vehicle started life as an early 6 cylinder recovery truck which was subsequently converted into this superb camper. It has had just 4 keepers and we are informed that the 69,000 or so miles are genuine. The engine sounds fantastic, aided by a more freely flowing exhaust manifold - it is also fitted with a certified LPG system which, although we have not tested, are told works as it should thus giving low running costs and a greater range - there is also a kenlowe fan to further improve economy and power output.

Land Rover Series 2a 88", 3.0 V6, Overdrive, new canvas, 1970, Roll Cage

Sellers Comments - Tax exempt Land Rover 2a, 3.0 V6, Overdrive, New canvas, 1970 with MOT until 24 November 2016.

I acquired the Landy at the end of July last year intending to do some mud plugging but have never got to it and it has lain around little used.
Previous owner owned for 10 years and the following is adapted from his description all of which I found to be correct.

A lot of work has been done to keep it in good order. All old V5's since new are present and a certified factory record for the vehicle.

Land Rover Series 3 Spares or Repair

Sellers Comments - Here we have my characterful old Ex Military Series 3 Land Rover. I bought it back in April with intentions of putting in back on the road. It's been in a dry barn since the day I got it. He Runs and Drives with all 5 gears working well (including Reverse) , no overdrive though. Believed to be ex RAF it was released in 2001 with a green and black paint scheme. I did a range of work on the Landy, so did a couple of guys who work for us. Together we Welded two new front bulkhead out riggers left and right, fixed all the electrics, put in a new brake master cylinder and then bled them. Got the 2 1/4lt petrol running sweet. Then rubbed down the body (hence why it looks like it does) ready for painting. Which leaves us where we are to date. I have more pictures of other parts I have like the Top of left side door, all new bulbs and lens caps, new front fuel tank outrigger right side. Needs a new paint job (not necessary) and a few other little things like wing mirrors and a new wiper motor (I have new wiper blades) and should pass an MOT - Don't hold me to it. Overall, it runs and drives nicely .Underneath is all good, apart from driver side foot well where holes are starting to appear but overall Is a good little classic. LRO Magazine even say they're going up in price! Now's your chance to get a nice easy project for the summer. Will Need to be trailered away. No Tax or MOT# Will put up more photos tonight 5/01/16 V5 Present and in my name. Cash on Collection £1695.00 ONO Viewings Welcome

Land Rover Series 1 - Barn Find 1958

Sellers Comments -  1958 88" inch wheelbase land rover series one , as you can see its a restoration
project , i rescued this from a farm local to me where it had been standing for some years
its an ex trailer and has some period mods still fitted
LOGBOOK PRESENT

ENGINE is a series 3 unit , has had a lot of money spent on it in the past , it does run with fresh
petrol and some bypassing of the wiring, it will need new plugs/points ect ....

GEARBOX is from a series 2a , it does move and at the very least 1st and reverse move the vehicle

AXLES are both series 2a , i have not had the drums off so do not know the condition ,
one of the mods are strenthened cases and guards welded to the diff pans to glance off rocks

BODYWORK is in reasonable condtion , , the doors are exellent , the rear tub did have
damage but is mostly straight , inside is all good and the bulkhead is very good only needing
minor repairs , the wings are reasonable but not brilliant and the drivers is missing its skin,
there are roof sticks present but no roof, the rollcage has been removed and is not available

I do have some history including the trialing logbook with pictures from years ago ,
mileage on MOT database showing 12,000 miles if i rember correctly but will check that

this vehicle is not drivable as clutch cylinder is leaking , have started it in gear
to move it and it does move by itself , no seized wheels, the steering box is not fully fitted
but if i have time i will do this before buyer collects , if not its easy enough to move

the vehicle is currently in RED , the white pictures are taken from the front of the
trials logbook to give you an idea of what it was

any questions please ask

1982 SWB 88 Land Rover

Sellers Comments
A 1982 SWB 88 Land Rover for sale.

This was brought for my wife as a birthday present in November, but she now wants a later model so it needs to go to make room for a newer version.

The last owner gave it a light restoration where the cab has been removed and every nut and bolt replaced.
It's had a respray inside and out and there's a spare tin of paint that will go with it for touch ups.  It's not the best paint job Iv'e seen but it is definitely presentable.
I have had other classics so I'm quite fussy with paint jobs.

The seats are all good, with no rips.
There are no dents and all the panels look straight, the underside looks good with photos showing a restoration taking place on that.
But there are some small holes and gaps, which is reflected in the price, it is a 33 year old Land Rover.

The chap I brought it from, who was a engineer, replaced the exhaust and did the following:
He put new wing tops on.
New master clutch cylinder fitted.
New plugs and leeds.
All new halogen bulbs all round .
New seat belts.
New fuel tank and new fuel sender.
Genuine Land Rover rear mud flaps.
New thermostat and gaskets.
New heater valve fitted this month.
New front and rear shock absorbers and new all terrain heavy load suspension kit fitted.
New clamps all round.
New battery.
All the side lamps look new.
New wipers arms and blades.
New front door locks fitted.
New choke cable fitted this month.
All new lift spacers kit to rear.
The foot wells have been replaced with new panels.
New light kit.
New solenoid starter.
All new bulkhead rubber seals.
New fan belt.
There's loads more receipts of parts that have been replaced, to much to list.

It's just had a fresh oil change and a radiator flush with new anti freeze added, and the engine has just had a tune up so it runs like a clock with no unsightly knocks.
It doesn't use any oil or water and there's no blue smoke from the exhaust when starting cold or when warmed up.

The head has been taken off and everything checked over, I have photos of the work carried out with receipts for new timing chains and new head gaskets fitted.
Its just had a new MOT in November with no advisories and the speedo is showing just 6000 miles but I have no proof of paper work for this, only what the last owner told me when they rebuilt it.

All in all this is a good little Land Rover taking into account that its a 33 year old truck. It starts on the button and runs well, and it turns heads and gets lots of attention.
I've been driving it about on 20 mile trips over the past few weeks and it performs well as you would expect from a lady of this age.
It's got a set of roll bars that will come with it and 4 extra rims and tyres.

I have been as honest as I can be with this sale any questions please email me. However I am NOT a mechanic or a car tinkerer.  But I will do my best to answer any questions.
There's a large file of receipts to go with the Land Rover.
Anyone with more than 5 negative feed backs will have their bids removed unless they have emailed me first.

Land Rover Series 3 Diesel 2.25d Tax Exempt Project 4X4

Sellers Comments - Diesel Tax Exempt Series 3 Land Rover I bought this landy about a year and a half ago as a running project. She has a good solid chassis, which has been recently undersealed. The bulkhead is also in good shape. Both have perviously been repaired to a good standard. The reason it is a "project" is the engine smokes, although it does run quite well, it will need looking at.
