LANDROVER V8 LPG TAX FREE 1969 COUNTY 2A ready to go

View Details - Click Here:

I am
reluctantly selling my Landy series 2a due to not using it regularly. It is one
of the best looking series 2a's you are likely to see. It has a Rover 3.5 V8
petrol engine with an LPG conversion. Mot due April 2015. It is an historic
vehicle therefore free road tax and insurance costs me and my wife under £100
per year fully comp.
 It
has had lots of work carried out over the last two years. It has a lot of
extras and I will try and mention most of them;
Defender
front grill and bonnet to house V8 engine
Series 3
dash
CD
player
Alarm
12 volt/
USB adapters on dash
Cubby
centre box
Rear
bench seat
Salisbury rear axle
New set
of steel modulars and tyres
Full
stainless exhaust system with two silencers
New
steering rods/ alignment. This has made the steering pretty much spot on as far
as series 2's go.
Swing
away rear spare wheel
Parabolics.
Twin
kenlowe fans which can be switched from off to manual over ride to
thermostatically controlled
Front and
rear spot lights
Half
leather range rover seats
Snorkel
kit fitted but not hooked up under bonnet
Axle
breathers fitted
Side
steps
New
battery (3 months ago)

It has a
good solid chassis and runs well. There is no lack of power especially in low.
The high/ low four wheel drive works well. It has a 4 speed gearbox. The only
thing I would say that needs doing is a bit of
  the wiring tidying up where
the CD is fitted! And some soundproofing would not go a miss!.
  It is not the quietest
vehicle to ride in ( if you want to talk to your passengers slow down or
shout!) but if your looking at 2As I guess you already know this but some sound
proofing would help!
She is 45
years old (well the chassis, steering wheel and gearbox are original I think!)
and has been modified pretty much out of all recognition, in fact park her next
to a new black swb county and at 100 yards you would not know the difference!
I bought
her to use occasionally but I really don’t use her enough and as I am older
than the Landover, a V8 is a bit over the top so when sold I will most probably
by a diesel plodder so might consider px if someone is thinking of changing
diesel into lpg V8?

So if you
want a brute of a landy ready to go viewing welcomed / recommended near Ipswich
in Suffolk and for those who don’t understand bidding is to buy!!! So please
don’t bid unless you have the cash,,,,,,,and UK buyers only unless you contact
me before bidding.
