An early 80" Land Rover with known history from new.
Registered KBJ193 (number plate still available on DVLA database) on the 1st October 1949 to Greenwell and Payne at the Estate Office, Orford, before being transfered to H.E. and M.E. Payne at Gedgrave Hall Farm, Orford in 1959.
Ownership passed to Beeton & Lennard in Shottisham in 1960 and Anthony Mathews of Long Melford in 1972.
It was then purchaed by Arthur Whymark who used it on trade plates as a breakdown truck at his garage in Boxford.
In 1984 the garage was taken over by Raymond Gant who had to re-register the vehicle due to changes in the law regarding trade pates.
As of 1984 the vehicle was re-registered DSV854.
This landrover has been part of a landrover collection for the past 12 months
This early Land Rover has it's original chassis, front and rear body.
The vehicle has been fitted with a winch from new and adds a lovely character to it.
Currently displaying the markings of the 1st east Anglian Regiment (Royal Norfolk and Suffolk)
It is on the button and ready to be enjoyed or sit proudly in a collection
